The guitar one is really amazing goes with the symphonic background hand in hand
Saw a Tiktok post with someone asking what TV theme people never skip, and this is the one. And much, much more than that. The first few notes make me stop whatever I am doing to listen. And my emotions swell with the music like nothing I have ever experienced. This compilation is beautiful but has left me an emotional wreck with tears flowing down my face. Can't explain it, no other piece of music has ever done this for me.

I absolutely love the rock version! I first heard it on a Star Trek soundtrack compilation CD I bought a couple decades ago. Still have it, and it's still my favorite version.
I always said I was going to learn it, not sure why in my 20 plus years of playing the guitar I haven't bothered, but I really do need to just sit down and learn it.
It has such a great tone to it.

To me the first version sounds more like "New Age". I would consider "symphonic" the original version.
