Why do the Mavs get treated like an old team? 4 of their 5 starters are 25 and younger. SGA is older than Luka.
The leadership at the top just have more experience, I agree they are a young team as well but Luka has experience in winning in the NBA and the Euroleague, Kyrie, etc.

Luka's been good for so long people forget he's only 25
3/5 are 25, and Kyrie/Derrick are 32/27. Their starters average age is 26.8 compared to OKC's 23.2, so on average each player on Dallas has 3 years more of NBA experience than OKC's. So they probably say they are younger because they are younger...

Dallas has size, thunder don’t, that’s the difference. And it’s a brutal difference. It’s been tough as hell to watch this. The size difference has nullified everything the thunder are good at.

Shai hasn’t had a signature game winner but all I’m hearing is how much his team letting him down. Hello? Isn’t Shai an MVP candidate? Why can’t he carry his team to a win? Luka gets blamed for everything when Mavs lose but why nothing for Shai?

@@billalzerouali4436 Correction, SGA's help has been shooting awful. Defense has been there, but 3pt shooting is 10% below their season and 1st round average games 2-5. Dort seems to be the only player who wants to shoot them, and he's kind of shooting OKC out of games like he had a tendency to do prior to this season.
Maybe because SGA plays good when they lose and Luka has been bad?
there is no way to compare the help of shai to luka. luka has way more help and proven players. ⚡️⚡️ Love the thunder and it’s future is very brohht but gotta feeling this is mavs year. Great series but im tipping my hat to dallas.

I think Kyrie realized that they need to build the others confidence and has been sacrificing shots for them as well as letting Luka be Luka, it's not that he's struggling he's just doing mature big picture stuff

Sorry but no. He’s been playing passive all year and it’s a big issue. Kyrie is getting paid a max contract to play like Dante Exum in a lot of these games
Everybody is so hung up on Kyrie not scoring- he is actually playing great ball! He’s making the right plays and he’s been making timely shots
Timely shots = points in all 4 qtrs. If he could have scored in the low teens in game 4 the series would be over

Thunder are very talented and playing hard but they’re basically running a college offense. This isn’t March Madness - you aren’t going to be effective swinging the ball around the perimeter and just driving and kicking. That’s just way too predictable and easy to guard for NBA defenders.
The Mavs offense is just a class above in running a surgical offensive game plan and getting high percentage shots most time down the court.
The Thunder have the players they just have development they need to make.
With that being said, they have a shooting guard running PG and Dallas has the best PG in the league. That’s the difference between surgical and what the thunder have

He hasn't been. He has followed the trajectory of every young star. Thunder were in a rebuild. He only played 35 games the year that led to drafting chet. They drafted J Dub with the clippers pick.

Shai is an amazing, elite talent, but he’s just not that guy. No leadership. Doesn’t make his teammates better. He gets his numbers and he’s consistent. Will go into the HOF but never the leader of a Championship team. No comparison to Luka, who not only has elite talent but he is the orchestra conductor. As coach Kidd did as a player, Luka will get his teammates paid!
