Imagine going back to rookie but everyone you face is still a top duelist with a meta deck 😂. That might happen for some people. Since it don't matter what rank you are in this game.
Yup, stuck in silver, everyone is literally just using meta decks, they really need to add a casual mode and make a new banlist, decrease the timer between turns, and add more modes cuz the love of God this game is unplayable
Yeah I intentionally deranked myself from plat because it was so annoying facing the same decks over and over with the same combos while I'm using a non meta deck. I went all the way back to gold 5 and seeing the same thing over and over.. Sad game, it started off hot but this ban list is horrible.
You cant demote to rookie trust me I tried. From plat1 you can only demote to gold 5. but now atleast I start out as silver 5 so I get more rewards. But now season 2 you cant demote from plat 1 anymore so you play until plat 2 and demote all the way to gold 5 so you can start silver again. Konami is just a shit company who knew.
Undoubtedly this game needed more ranks, the difference between gold 1 and platinum 5 is huge. I'm a novice player. I win all my games in gold 1, and I lose all in platinum 5, since I got platinum last week every day has been down to this, and this is very frustrating. I can't find players on my level, because the platinum is full of excellent players who should be much taller, shouldn't play against me. And when I drop to gold 1, I just don't find an opponent, I win every game without much effort.
I really hope this game gets a anime story mode, cuz it might die down for me if it doesn't. One things I always liked about past yugioh games is facing anime characters and their decks offline. Also add a practice mode or something like that.
According to this game's senior producer, Master Duel is VERY focusing on their own card and non-Anime story hence by Solo Mode. Also, he said to the viewer at that interview that Duel Links and Legacy of the Duelist are more preferable to the anime fans. However, in my opinion, this "could" be change in the future IF Solo Mode is not enough...
There actually is a reason for it not to exist at this point. Getting the mobile platform launched was the priority. Making sure the platform runs smoothly is a higher priority than new features. There's quite a few things that need to be done before they worry about adding new content. That said...most of it should have been done before they actually launched the game in the first place...but it would have been another 2 years to release if they finished everything first.

I want character duels because I prefer playing solo due to using "fun" decks. I do not follow the meta nor do I use duplicates.
