    11/13/18: This is my sister’s favorite books of the Bible...although I know she says that about every book of the Bible. I am studying this book now and oh, what a blessing it is. All that GOD has blessed us with because of OUR UNION WITH CHRIST ( IN, THROUGH, BY, BECAUSE OF, FOR JESUS CHRIST ). No wonder in the 5th chapter of Revelation we ( represented by “the elders”), cast our crowns at HIS feet...HE is worthy. Worthy is the LAMB. Amen Forever. Thank YOU, GOD, for sending JESUS. I am looking so forward for HIS return for HIS children. Even so, Come, LORD JESUS.

    I read Ephesians then started reading Joshua. I was wondering what the underlying meaning was and what Chuck's take would be, couldn't find vids on his teaching Joshua so I thought I'd listen to Ephesians. For one it's relatively short! Interestingly he refers to Joshua as being similar to what Ephesians talks about and answers my question not 20 minutes in. I love that about Chuck. He ties it all together in one cohesive unit, the Old and New Testaments. I love God too and his way of leading you to the answers you seek!

    Dr. Missler has the gift of expositing for an hour on one verse. He dissects, analyzes it and puts it back together. He's like a spiritual engineer. I also listen to those preachers who Rightly Divide the Word of Truth as God commands us in 1 Tim 2:15. What is RIGHTLY DIVIDING? The Bible is set up dispensationally. The Jew, The Gentile and the Body of Christ. The Gospel is 1 Cor 15:1-5. Beginnings= Genesis Exodus= Israel becomes a Nation Leviticus-Deut= Israel get organized, Israel experienced Judges and Kings, The remainder of the Old Testament is a story of rebellion on the part of Israel toward God. The prophets all foretell what is going to happen, what has happened and what will happen to Israel, your country and the world. Then Christ is resurrected and calls on the Apostle Paul for a whole new ball game called the Dispensation of Grace - The Church Age. And that is where we have been for the last 2000 years or so. Guess which books are directly written to those who believe 1 Cor 15:1-4, why is Romans thru Philemon, then the rapture occurs at the fullness of the Gentiles and the Jew and they have Hebrews - Revelation. Rea d each letter and it will tell you who the letter was written to, by whom it was written and why. Unfortunately pastors, preacher and teachers, tend to 'cherry pick' scripture to fit what they want to say instead ofall sharing what God says. That's why in a any ''christian church' all your going to hear from the podium is Matt - John, never Romans thru Philemon. Once I decided to follow Christ, the first thing they should have done for me was to plant my nose in Romans, but they didn't do anything except smile and shake my hand. My diligence and search for the truth culminated with the help of the Holy Spirit led me to the truth of Word of God and how it divides people, families, nations and the very soul of a person. Even divisions in churches because someone in the church found out the truth and wants to share it, but the leadership refuses to get on board, BECAUSE OF SCOLARSHIP, THEY ALL GRADUATED FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE SEMINARIES OF CORRUPTION and that's not what the seminary taught and to top it off we're using a modern translation. That's like rubbing salt into an open wound.

      Only the Holy Spirit can lead and teach--not man..so praise him who sits high above all men and sends his word to heal..instruct..teach from his holy tabernacle that sits forever ..that will be opened..that will pour out judgment on the earth..that the Messiah that teaches you by his spirit will cause you to be raised from the dead into a new body to reign and be with him. No man can do this. Only GOD can..so PRAISE GOD that he has shown you these things. ..by and through his grace. Amen and Amen.

    • @rayjgold
      @rayjgold 10 лет назад +3

      I agree. But the Teaching is in English...so is the KJV bible. I grew up hearing and Saying Jesus Christ. So when i first started hearing this i thought they were talking about a different person or were ashamed of Jesus Christ or was trying to to avoid using the real name. I dont really see the point in teaching in English, praying in English, yet at the end calling the name in a different language. Paul said something like....he would rather utter a few words in a language that everyone can understand, than a lot of words in one only understandable to the speaker. Dont really see the point in praying in multiple languages other than to show the listener that you can do it.

  • @oseelogic6707
    @oseelogic6707 6 лет назад +1

    I really love Chuck's messages - there are just a couple of points of which I disagree
    [
    He states that foreknowledge permits election
    [
    I read Romans 9 stating that foreknowledge is the reason for election - those He knew - He predestined - He chose to love us - before anything else - exactly because of His own good pleasure and nothing else - since He chose to love us - He predestined that we would be conformed to the image of His Son
    [
    The idea that foreknowledge has to do with knowing something about what will happen in the future is not the correct notion about election - foreknowledge is an action that God decides to know ( choose ) upon whom He will show His love
    [
    Chosen before the foundation of the world does not mean making a decision based on what is known about future events - it means making a decision before any events occur - thereby making certain what can be known from the beginning ( predestination )

    • @SusanBoyceRN
      @SusanBoyceRN 5 лет назад +2

      God knew us each one, before we were born, and he also knew what choices we would make, each decision of obedience vs disobedience, how we would ultimately spend eternity, etc.. God is all knowing. God alone exists outside of space and time, God alone is the alpha and omega, beginning and the end. It is true, God already knows, hence the scripture in Matthew 7: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. When asked what is the greatest commandment in Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. I personally believe this is key to being one of "the few there be that find it."

      @@jeepsishumate2021 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
      He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
      Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
      Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
      Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
      Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
      For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
      Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
      And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

    OK, the moment we are born of water and blood (water breaks, baby born of blood) we are ripe for spiritual growth. When one become 7, they arrive at the age of awareness; it is at this point that person can make a decision to do something. This is the point where Mom and Dad point the child to the scriptures and read to them and bring them up in the ways of the Lord. The enemy does this very thing, the Catholics and the Islamists DEMAND their children start spiritual training early in life, but not Christians, they don't care on a grand scale. They leave it up to the child and shirk their spiritual responsiblity mostly because the parents have no spiritual foundation whatsoever.

    @renny Gruber: You mean many are called, few are chosen? not only do you need to get it correct but you need to read it in context. Paul was the chosen vessel for a special work. There was also the young man who wanted to first go and bury his father. Jesus told him let the dead bury their dead you have been called. The called and the chosen are both saved. The Pharisees were not called even though they heard the gospel. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called, and whom he called them he also justifiedand him he justified them he also glorified...

Who do you think the us ward is referring to? God chooses those for salvation is based on whom he for new… He intimately new people before hand. the bible scriptures include 2 distinct groups, Israel, and the church, or the bride of Christ, each with very distinctly different purposes and destinies, and they are both near to God's heart, with very special futures. Parts of Revelation deal with the church and other parts deal specifically with Israel. The scriptures dealing with Israel are very "Jewish" if you understand Jewish history. If you deeply want to study scripture, Chuck Missler is really good at explaining Old and New Testament scriptures in a way even I can understand lol. I am so sorry to see this posted on youtube. This takes money out of the mouths of the ministry. I've been a member of Khouse for 6 years and have paid for every single commentary and lesson, as well as the yearly fee, which is nothing compared to any seminary in the U.S. It isn't that expensive. The commentary and DVD will cost about 6.0-80 dollars, but the wisdom and knowledge gleened is priceless. Yes I feel guilty for watching. I pay my debts, and yes, the Word of God is freely given and should be freely recieved; but there is a line when it comes to the equipment, time and materials need to even make this information available to the masses. That should be respected.

      Freely you have received, so freely give. What about those who do not have the money to pay for a teaching? Would you leave them in the dark? Selah God is able to bring provision to those who preach the gospel. You do not have to "guilt" people into giving. God loves a "cheerful" giver. Some people, who can, will pay to support the ministry, yet some will hear it for nothing. All that matters is that the gospel goes forth. Did not the Apostle Paul work with his own hands to support himself and the others who were with him, while he taught others the whole council of God? Go and make disciples, without charge.

    His comments concerning election are disturbing. He seems to have the view of election that all free will advocates have which is God looks into the future and knows how things are going to turn out and chooses you on that basis. Quite frankly it is the opposite. The Bible says He intimately new people before hand and chose whom He foreknew. It does not say that He intimately new information beforehand and chose us based upon what we would do. I really hope this is not the position the doctor Missler holds. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God… With free will, you never do.

      +TheGreatWaldoPepp I don't really understand your issue here. What do you mean by foreknew, or rather I should ask, what do you take foreknew to mean? Because wouldn't it be accurate to say he "knows" everybody intimately, being their creator? The only thing I can think of that would make the relationship more intimate and set it apart from say, God's relationship (or lack thereof) with the chief priests or anyone else who won't be saved, would be for the other party involved (the human being) to draw close to him in return. A pre-programmed machine with no mind of its own can't draw close to someone, it can only do what it's told, so wouldn't the fact that we can draw close to him in relationship mean we have a free will of some kind? We definitely can actively draw close, because the Bible, in the book of James I believe, says that if we draw close to him, he'll draw close to us. I'm not some learned Bible scholar or anything, these are just my feelings on the subject...

      +AMichelJ The word that is used here quote for new" means that he intimately knew beforehand… And in the context it says whom he for new… So the Bible is saying he intimately new people before hand. To the lost he says depart from me I never knew you. There are two kingdoms at war here… There are tares sewed among the wheat… If you believe in free will you believe that we're all the same and we all have an opportunity that we can equally take advantage of but that is not what salvation is nor is it presented that way anywhere in the scripture. The parable of the wheat and the tares is an exact representation of what is the case and had there not been a fall there would not have been a Cain… In other words Satan has a kingdom and the purpose of Christ is to seek and save that which was lost and destroy the works of the devil. The potter has right over the clay and makes one lump unto honor and one unto dishonor….

    I've watched over 250 hours of Mr Missler's videos and in many ways I consider him a wise man. But when we get into serious doctrine like this, his shortcomings become clear. I'm sorry to say that I find this presentation to be confused and ridden with error. Below, I would like to go through 20 specific errors, some minor, others more important…

    • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man 5 лет назад

      *1. Was Ephesus ruined?*
      Mr Missler teaches that the church of Ephesus was "ruined" because they didn't heed Jesus' warning in Revelation. But hang on, Mr Missler himself admits that this church went on to prosper for over 400 years and remained a primary hub of the worldwide church. How could that possibly be interpreted as a failure?
      *2. Paul's name*
      Mr Missler teaches that Paul was not originally named Saul, but nowhere does the Bible say that. The Bible says his name was Saul and he was _also_ called Paul (Acts 13:9). "Paul" is simply the Greek equivalent of Saul, just as Peter is the Greek equivalent of Cephas, and "Jesus" is the English equivalent of Yeshua.
      *3. Meaning of "saint"*
      Mr Missler explains the meaning of the word "saint", yet oddly he doesn't even give the literal meaning of the word! The word "saint" is simply the noun form of the word "holy"! It literally means "holy one" - that is what the Bible literally says. "Saint" means holy, sanctified, pure, clean, and blameless. Why is Mr Missler so keen avoid this truth?
      *4. "Saints are sinners"?*
      Mr Missler offers this definition of a 'saint': "A saint is not a sinless person, but a saved sinner … It's simply a label for someone who is a believer and saved by trusting in Christ. That's all the word means."
      I'm sorry but that is a lie and a bogus definition. A saint is not a "sinner" - even the world understands that these two are opposites! The entire Bible makes a clear distinction between holy and unholy:
      2 Corinthians 6:17
      "Therefore, come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."
      *5. Eternal security?*
      Mr Missler asserts that "if someone can lose his salvation then God loses His good name". This is not Biblical, and he offers no Scripture to back this up. His usual go-to verse on this is John 10:28, where Jesus says He gives His Sheep eternal life and no one will snatch them out of His hand. Chuck takes "sheep" to mean ALL Christians, when in fact Jesus is talking about the ELECT, and it is clear that not ALL Christians will be saved (see Matthew 7:22).

    • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man 5 лет назад

      *6. Jesus was preaching election to the Jews?*
      When Jesus preached in the synagogue, the Jews were enraged and tried to kill him. Mr Missler concludes that they were angry because Jesus was preaching election. That's not right! The Jews were angry because Jesus was speaking like a traitor, suggesting that God favors the Gentiles! I don't think Jesus was "preaching election" - besides which, Jews would not be offended by the idea of election. Every Jew knows that Israel is God's chosen nation and that God has elected them from among all the nations!
      *7. Limited God?*
      He says "there are certain things God cannot do". This may be true, but I would not like to put money on it. As far as I'm concerned, God can do ANYTHING, and the whole of the Bible goes out of its way to prove that.
      *8. "God can't lie"?*
      He claims that "God can't lie". I've heard that claim made by Christians, but find no Biblical support for it. Of course God could lie! Yes, He is intrinsically honest, and keeps His word, but that doesn't mean it's impossible for Him to lie. For example, 2 Thessalonians 2:11 says that God "will send them a strong delusion, that they should believe the lie.".
      *9. Has God "chosen" every Christian?*
      Mr Missler claims: "God has chosen you, that's why you're sitting here."
      I think Mr Missler is confusing _calling_ with _election_ - they are two different things. Yes, we have been CALLED - which is why we came to Christ and are on this Christian journey. But just because we have been CALLED, that doesn't mean every Christian has been CHOSEN for salvation. That is far rarer, Jesus made clear. The Parable of the Sower tells us that many people start out as Christians, but only a few actually make it to life. Here is a description Jesus gives us about unfaithful Christians:
      Matthew 22:14
      "Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' For MANY are CALLED, but FEW are CHOSEN."
      *10. Scary predestination?*
      Mr Missler talks about predestination as being "scary" - a topic that people are uncomfortable with. I really don't see why, and he didn't explain why. I suspect he has a false understanding of predestination as I see nothing scary about it.

    • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man 5 лет назад

      *11. Election vs Predestination*
      He says that "election" relates to the _people_ of God, while "predestination" relates to the _purposes_ of God. I don't see any point to this distinction. The Lord's sheep are both _elected_ AND _predestined._ There's no major difference here.
      *12. God's "guarantee"?*
      He claims "Predestination is God's guarantee". But how could it be a "guarantee" when no one knows what God has predestined us for? The Bible says that some people are "prepared before hand for glory", while others prepared for wrath (Romans 9:15-23). We have no "guarantee" whether we're in one category or the other - it is up to _us_ to make sure we are among the elect!
      *13. Adoption vs maturity*
      Mr Missler teaches that: "Adoption is the act of God by which He gives His 'born ones' an adult standing in the family. … An infant cannot legally use this inheritance but an adult son can."
      This is very strange teaching! What does being adopted into God's family have to do with maturity? Nothing! When you're born again, you're instantly in God's family - simple as that. (He backs up his teaching with Galatians 4:1-7, but that passage says nothing about spiritual maturity, it's using the illustration of infant and adult to contrast the Old Covenant with the New.)
      *14. Enjoying spiritual wealth?*
      Chuck says that adoption into God's family allows us to "enjoy our spiritual wealth". No, it doesn't allow us to merely _"enjoy"_ our spiritual wealth - we HAVE NO spiritual wealth until we are born again!

    • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man 5 лет назад

      *15. "Un-adoption"?*
      He says there is no mention in the Bible of anyone being 'un-adopted', remarking: "Once you're adopted, you're adopted." That may be true, but the Scriptures make clear that many who think they're children of God are actually phonies. The clues are there for us to see, such as: "Whoever has been born of God does not sin" (1 John 3:9)
      *16. Instant rebirth?*
      Mr Missler claims that you become a son of God "the moment you believe". He tries to back this up with Galatians 3:26, which says "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus."
      But that verse says nothing about being born again "the moment you believe". It merely says that people became sons of God THROUGH faith in Christ. Let's look at another verse that uses the term "through faith":
      Heb 6:12
      "Do not become sluggish, but imitate those who THROUGH FAITH and patience inherit the promises."
      Have we inherited these promises yet? No. Do these things come "the moment you believe"? No, they come THROUGH FAITH. The Biblical word for "faith" means trust, loyalty, allegiance and faithfulness.
      Jesus never spoke about being "instantly born again" the moment we start following Him. He said we must be "born of the Spirit" (John 3:5-8) which requires the Spirit to come inside us - which happens _through faith_ in Christ (Galatians 3:14). The Bible says that we are saved by the _works_ of faith (James 2:24) which means _obeying_ Jesus' commands, being immersed in water, and the laying of hands to receive the Spirit (Acts 2:38, 8:15-19, 9:17-18, 19:1-6).
      *17. Only partly sons?*
      Mr Missler says that the "full manifestation" of our sonship will only be complete when we're resurrected. That is somewhat misleading.
      Sure, the Bible does say that we are "eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." (Romans 8:23) But that's only talking about our PHYSICAL nature. It means that one day our transformation into sons of God will be PHYSICALLY complete.
      However, my physical body has no bearing on my status as God's son. I am - right now - 100% a child of God, both in my legal position, and in my spiritual nature. There is no uncertainty or partiality about this. The Bible does talk about physical changes to come, but also affirms that we are children of God NOW:
      1 John 3:2
      "Beloved, NOW we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."
      *18. "Finished work"?*
      Mr Missler talks a lot about "Christ's completed work" or "finished work", but these phrases are not found in the Bible, and they are actually bogus expressions because Jesus' work did _not_ finish at the cross!
      Jesus didn't "do it all" on the Cross, the _only_ thing our Lord dealt with at Calvary was atonement for sin, which made it possible for us to be saved and blessed. The Cross was part of God's administration, but it wasn't _directly_ responsible for our salvation. Indeed, if Jesus had not _continued working_ and ascended to Heaven, no one could have been saved!
      To suggest that Jesus "stopped working" on the Cross is simply ridiculous. Luke said his Gospel was an account of the things that Jesus _"began_ to do and teach". But after that, Luke wrote a whole second volume of what Christ _continued_ to do. The Lord Jesus has done so much since then.
      Jesus did not save me 2,000 years ago on the Cross - He atoned for my sin on the Cross, but He began saving me when I was a young man, and He's still helping me today as I continue in my salvation.
      *19. Christians make daily mistakes?*
      Mr Missler says that "substituting your own will for the will of God" is a big mistake that "we do every day". But he doesn't explain or back up this strange indictment against God's people?
      *20. Earth isn't our home?*
      Finally, Mr Missler says that we will one day be with God in Heaven. This is a popular view but I do not find it in the Bible.
      Chuck says: "You and I are strangers and pilgrims here on the earth. We're out of place."
      Well, the Bible does indeed say that we are "strangers and pilgrims" in our present situation - but this means living here among ungodly societies. It doesn't mean this _planet_ isn't our home! On the contrary, the Bible says we shall "inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5) and that the Heavenly City will be upon the earth (Revelation 21:1-3).
      Hebrews 11:13 does say that the Old Testament heroes were "strangers and pilgrims on the earth", but I think this is a poor translation. The Greek word for "earth" is also many times translated as "land" (eg "the land of Egypt" or "a strange land") So I think a better translation here is "strangers and pilgrims _in the land"_ - especially considering the context of the verse: Paul is specifically talking about lands, countries and cities (not planets!).
      Well that's all 20 of my points. There was also a minor error in his slides. At 40:40, Chuck says that the believer is "perfect" in position, citing Hebrews 10:4. I'm sure he means Heb 10:14.
      I say all of this with love and respect to Mr Missler. But people's lives are at stake here, so we have to take the doctrines of salvation very seriously.
      I am planning to leave comments on each of the videos in this series. Also, please check out my RUclips channel where I will soon be posting videso on the issues of calvinism and arminianism, and other important issues. :)

      @@Scripture-Man Hi Lee, I have read through your points and some are quite thought-provoking. However, there is one point that stands out to me as a seriously dangerous implication and theological position to take. You made an inference in point 8 "God can't lie?" that it IS possible for God to lie and that you could not find any biblical support for the idea that it is impossible. Please read through the below verses and reconsider taking that position in your thinking, because I have to be honest here, it seems to me that the conclusion you have drawn from that point is throwing aspersion on God's character and the very truthfulness of His written Word (if we cannot even trust that God will never lie, then what hope is there in the existence of any truth whatsoever?):
      "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" Numbers 23:19 (KJV)
      "Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind."
      1 Samuel 15:29 (KJV)
      "...so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.
      " Hebrews 6:18 (KJV)
      "Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.
      " Psalms 89:35 (KJV)
      Throughout the scriptures we see God making vows to His covenant people, and our great source of hope and encouragement when reading God's Word is the many evidences that He supplies us with that showcases the inherent truthfulness of His character. We also know from scripture that what God has said has always, and will always, come to pass. Scripture also tells us that God cannot change, ergo, the impossibility of God ever lying.
      I hope that this comment finds you well Lee. God bless. :)
