I Enjoyed watching the whole flight. From a meteorologic view, it`s amazing that Manchester had clear skies and further down London you break through thick layers of stratus clouds.
Thorpe Park located due south of Heathrow needs good visibility! But this idea should work. Just so long as you make sure you are either sat in or next to a window seat on the left hand side of the aircraft and that you are taking off to the west. As you are taking off look for the rollercoaster and keep it in sight. Departures which then turn to head southbound or eastbound after takeoff should give you a good 30-odd second Bird's Eye View of Thorpe Park in general. I hope this is helpful :o)
Enjoying Part 2 of Rw 23L @ MAN arriving Rw27R @ LHR ... 'Doink!' Crosswind Landing judging by windsock seen at 08:12 on your way to one of the Remotes off Taxiway C. Not sure which though, did you notice by any chance? Finally (ROFL) with Little Miss Motormouth sat next to you at 01:40 who needs IFE??! Excellent video, thanks again for sharing it.
@averredude101 Cheers. Being checked over most likely before setting off to somewhere in Asia later that evening. Yes on Terminal 5B & C there are quite a few Remote Stands that all the Aircraft go on (B744s,B777s,B767s even some Airbuses) Simply because there was no stands with Jet Ways available when they arrived.
@87boombox I wondered that. But as I am a regular flyer with Monarch they often use there A320's and they sound the same when they start up and shut down!
@boeingnerd77 We parked at T5C which was in and still in development which is for mainly A380 but some gates for others, there is quite a few remote stands around by gates 519 and some of T5 B&C which will stay. The aircraft actually got completely switched off after this flight then had a sleep all night for it's next flight in the morning to Paris.
@planeboy737 Yep, the LHR-MAN route for many airlines is a big money maker! Let's think about it for 2 people only needed to add 200-300 pound for a long haul ticket to e.g. JFK? ;)

I do love coming into LHR in the evening with T5 lit up like a big jewel, beautiful. Another great video btw! :)
i must say i like seeing the flaps at work and seeing them retract when it went of the runway
Cool vid
Very nice video, looks like the weather was nicer up north than down here that day!
Thanks for posting it. I had never the opportunity to land at LHR after sunset.
night T5 looks awesome with all the BA heavies amazing to watch!!

Nobody claps landings anymore, I still do, lot of respect for the guys and gals on the flight deck
Nice video. I enjoyed it.
The sound of that hysraulis PTU pump at the end of the flight was just....
Nice HYD TPU struggling to keep a good pressure on-board after engines shutdown
lovely stuff, man!!
@simon1430 Thanks, you two, nope i live 15 minutes from Heathrow. I was coming back from a day trip in MAN as this was in April 2010.
I love how it sounded the plane was getting shagged towards the end of the video
this is brilliant!!!
10:54 I always think they are sawing the door off when the PTU sounds...

@87boombox Those were the hydraulic pumps.
What was that weird noise after shutting down the engines?
Make sure you watch part one first.
will the remote stand problem be fixed so there will eventully b no remote stands at T5?
Sounded like the CFM engines crying :) or maybe dogs barking.
Always wondered what is that sound at 10:55
id say its so busy because there isnt many operaters from london to man
@87boombox I agree. Sounds like someone doing DIY....lol
@bwells86 hmm these 2 girls talked for about 2 hours at the gate and the whole 35 minutes of flight time.
@HeathrowSpottingHD They are talking abour the film 'Remember Me' with Pierce Brosnan and Robert Pattinson :) aha
Nice
@allenspedface32
thats the engine shutting down.
@HeathrowSpottingHD sounds like they are talking about a book/film
Why is it always cloudy in London?
@funnyGuys3296 Nope this was in April 2010.
@planeboy737 i never said flights i said operators its only bmi and ba do this route and the dont fly to city!
i dont think that woman realized the whole plane could hear her conversation
The engineers wasted no time hacking off part of the plane at the end!
hi what seat is that
what airline?
Haha yes!! they didn't stop ever since it took off :D
@planeboy737 no low cost operators!
@HeathrowSpottingHD I don't know how girls can hold a conversation or so long haha
Nice video...Thanks. But those two women!!!!
Those women talking, it's a bit like the old joke......." i haven't spoken to my wife for 2 years, i don't want to interrupt her"
@allenspedface32
seat belts.
Do you have 3DS? TELL ME YOUR FRIEND CODE PLEASE!!!!
not the best landing :)
