@Chris Farley well you know there’s that saying that’s like ‘20/20 vision’ or something that’s pretty high so i’mnot sure but maybe the higher ones are good and the lower ones are bad idk
It so is. x_x On one of her "backstage" videos, she talked about where she got her props, and the answer was "secondhand shops and Etsy." And I don't doubt that's actually how she does it, but it's still hard to believe, y'know?
I found this in my Recommended and immediately sent It to my boyfriend! He ADORES the Steampunk era, and with him getting his new glasses soon I couldn’t pass this up! I also saw your name “Moonlight Cottage ASMR” and smiled, I always call him Moonlight...
Don't get me wrong, but this accent is intriguingly peculiar. It really adds a strange vibe to this video, another layer of steampunk authenticity. I can imagine the customer going to the "foreign lens expert's practice" in Steampunk Bristol. Also: awesome quality; great props and fascinating equipment. And another thing: this helped me to wind down. I work on a field that requires constant comnunication with people, instructing them and goi g through heavy and difficult situations. Videos like this flush my brain.
i had to keep telling myself every few minutes that this is just a roleplay and she isn't filming from the steampunk era... i have never seen this level of asmr roleplay before, she deserves millions of subs!
As someone who is legally half blind and had been scone childhood and finds the Victorian style to be superior to modern tastes (they just look batter to me) I second this motion
@@Annafilmz, it certainly did for me. I think I got spoiled, lol. I remember watching simple glass tapping videos recorded with a phone and getting tingles like crazy. Now only very intense sounds on a very sensitive mic are capable of that. But this kind of videos don't relax me at all. Today I watch ASMR for the pleasant unintentional-like sounds and aesthetics. This video here is the perfect example of it.
Does anyone else try to read the text at the very bottom edge of those eye charts? This was a well put together video. The metal pieces clicking into place was super tingley. I loved all the attention to using different kinds of lenses. Did you research what that dark lens was for? This was a nice surprise to wake up to. So glad you were able to upload in time.😁 oh and nice touch with the train sounds 👌
This is one of the first ASMR videos I ever watched. It was really my introduction to this type of ASMR roleplay. Now, a year later, I just started my own ASMR channel. Your work inspires me! Thank you for giving us such amazing, lovingly crafted content!
Soon we'll have to get our 2021 appointment... it's been almost a year since our last eye exam! ;) Love this roleplay SO MUCH, it would be so nice to see the optometrist again in a future video! :)
Everyone is talking about how great the audio is but I can't get over the setting and props! Like, everything feels so authentic and real and I just cant imagine how long it took her to set everything up!
Wow, who would've thought that "waving a flame right in front of my eyes" would be a visual trigger? I'm loving this video already, you always give us SUCH high quality, it's an absolute marvel!
Absolutely insane! I forgot everything around me. This voice, her elegant movements and the level of detail....i have no words for this. Since i am a nervous and tense type of person, this is like medicine. Thank you!!
As one of the comments states, "Your attention to detail is second to none." I am always fascinated at how outstanding your ASMR videos are produced. You are in an extraordinary category of your own with such videos. Keep up the excellent work.
When I worked as an optometrist technician, we had an amazing set of metal handled, glass slides, it came in a wooden box and everything! To use them, we’d put the slides into one of our pre-test machines to help get an idea of our patients range of vision correction to better assist the doctor with setting up for the full exam. I loved working with eyes, it was so rewarding and fun, so thank you for this role play! It’s flawless and so enjoyable for me! ❤️❤️❤️
The beginning feels like it’s straight out of a movie, especially the music. I love it so much! It actually gives me slight hallmark vibes in a good way, because it reminds me of my mom ❤️
can we take a moment to appreciate how much the production quality of these videos has gone up? like yes she was changing the game even with her first roleplays but now the whole set is even more detailed, the camera pans smoothly and the audio quality is amazingly crisp 😍😍 can’t believe we get this for free
My favourite part of this entire video is determining the prescription. "Better or worse?" is now something I can hear and just immediately feel relaxed. It's a good thing I wasn't actually there. Every time she asked me "is it better or worse?" I'd just reply with "you're so much better...oh you mean my eyes...uhhhhhh...I don't know...I can't really focus them even without lenses in the glasses..." I'd be a pain in the ass customer. So I'm glad that didn't happen.
I am a huge sucker for ASMRtists with fantastical production value and set design. I watch a lot of Latte ASMR and that's how I came to this channel. You both put so much time and effort into the tiny intricate details and it does not go unnoticed. Spectacular job.

It's a focal plane thing :) the camera is fixed on her as the focus, but the inserted lens shifts it forward just enough to cause that effect! Notice she becomes slightly blurrier after the lens is put in. Awesome trick though!
The elegance of her video is divine. she always creates superb content. Her content speak for itself. Her videos help me relax on even an extremely tense day. Keep it up. Lots of love❤️
I think this is the first time I write a comment in an ASMR video but... this is simply the best ASMR I've ever experienced. Creative as some of the classic ASMRequests', amazing production, and yet very effective tingle-wise. From a period in time I never experienced but I feel nostalgic about. A masterpiece.
I can already imagine us stumbling into the shop, disorientated and disheveled, cracked googles in hand. "Oh my, what happened?" "I may or may not have gotten into a _wee_ bit of a crash." " _What?_ " "Your googles weren't the cause of the crash or anything, but I _do_ need a new pair." "Of course my googles weren't the cause, in fact, they should've prevented it _if_ you were vigilant." "Oh? Did I miss the switch for x-ray vision on these things? How could I have seen the faulty (sabotaged?) brakes?" "Hmph, well this new pair will help when you _check_ next time." "Maybe you should check the eyes of those engineers."
Can't get enough of these videos. Can't say enough of the quality of them with the props, the clothes, the set and the story and time it takes to make it all seem real. It's like you really are there. Love them all.
I have been watching ASMR for years, and I have never seen anything so creative and detailed. You’re voice is crisp perfection that makes me really relaxed. 😍

The effort required to make such high quality videos like this deserves a standing ovation. The outfits, the maps, papers, tools, lighting is just perfect. When watching this I feel like its the year 1612 or something!! Great Channel!!
This deserves so much views. It´s like a movie, it´s art. Very thoughtful, clever and tingly. I loved the sounds when you chose the lenses, could watch/listen to a whole video just of these sounds and the whispering.
The accuracy of this is amazing. I felt like I was at my optometrist getting my yearly checkup. Even though we use machines now, I believe optometrists still use this. I love it.
The genuine antiques and replica props in this video are astounding. I would love a 1-hour version of just the lens testing/actual eye exam section with TONS of lens noises. Running your fingers along the lens’ handle-things (while you were doing the inaudible whispering section) is one of the most incredible noises I’ve ever heard. 11/10 best eye exam video on RUclips
This gives me so much nostalgia. Let me explain: I have bad eyesight, I was born with it like a lot of people. So I went to the optometrist at a very early age. This optometrist was a very, very old chap named Dr. Dumoulin (Dr. Windmill in english). I went there back in 2002, and this man was so old that he still used a lot of the techniques in this video. He didn't have a lamp, he used a flame so that I could focus on it easier. He had a massive drawer with tons and tons of round lenses (exactly like here) and I had these humongous goggles on my teenie tiny nose. I think his most "high-tech" thing was a book with 3D illustrations. We did it all in a very dark room. I've always been receptive to asmr and going there was my little relaxation session. Now he's retired, and going to the optometrist is nothing like this anymore. Everything is so 'corporationally' decorated: bright lights, white rooms, super high tech chairs, ... Now, don't get me wrong, I'm happy this science has evolved to be more efficient, I'm actually very grateful, but I still miss the old days...
La qualité du décor, les accessoires, les costumes, ton personnage... tout est magnifique. Ta chaîne est unique et c’est un pur bonheur ! Bravo ! 🙏 merci
I always love how you actually set up a little set depending on your theme of video. Like all the gadgets and things hanging on the wall. Even the stack of books or just cool, in this case, steampunk looking objects! Really makes me feel like I'm there! :)

Forget role playing one, you ARE a master craftsperson. The visuals are gorgeous but the sounds, the SOUNDS, oh my lands you know your stuff. I hope RUclips boosts you and you reach a lot more people, they need to witness this art and feel those tingles!

@@xlogophile ugh the worst part is that’s the prescription my doctor predicts i’ll reach once i stop growing :,(
@Chris Farley well you know there’s that saying that’s like ‘20/20 vision’ or something that’s pretty high so i’mnot sure but maybe the higher ones are good and the lower ones are bad idk
@Chris Farley lower vision = worsened vision,, 20/20 is perfect, anything lower than 10 is bad vision. -5 and below is legally “blind”
I’m just amazed that you’re able to make the set so realistic. I swear it’s more in depth than a museum.
It so is. x_x On one of her "backstage" videos, she talked about where she got her props, and the answer was "secondhand shops and Etsy." And I don't doubt that's actually how she does it, but it's still hard to believe, y'know?
I found this in my Recommended and immediately sent It to my boyfriend! He ADORES the Steampunk era, and with him getting his new glasses soon I couldn’t pass this up! I also saw your name “Moonlight Cottage ASMR” and smiled, I always call him Moonlight...
The steampunk era?

Don't get me wrong, but this accent is intriguingly peculiar. It really adds a strange vibe to this video, another layer of steampunk authenticity. I can imagine the customer going to the "foreign lens expert's practice" in Steampunk Bristol.
Also: awesome quality; great props and fascinating equipment.
And another thing: this helped me to wind down. I work on a field that requires constant comnunication with people, instructing them and goi g through heavy and difficult situations. Videos like this flush my brain.
It’s a French accent.
Cecily Erker it seems close to German at points though they are very similar so that’s probably why
@@jqfreezy53 Exactly. I deducted it has to be French, although at first I was not quite sure, but it has German and even slight Swedish quality to it.
Could listen to her read the adds in the paper. Spellbinding accent for sure.
I think she's french because at the begining they are some french words
Imagine all her incredible work as VR content with dialogue options and virtual interactions. Basically a ASM(V)R game.
you’re onto something… 🧐
This is probably the best “suddenly popped up in my recommendation” moment.
Same here! New favorite
Agreed!
i had to keep telling myself every few minutes that this is just a roleplay and she isn't filming from the steampunk era... i have never seen this level of asmr roleplay before, she deserves millions of subs!
Oh my goodness 9:00 is where all the tingles hit.
18:07 too 😩
Literally. Visually and audibly
she deserves an award for this arttt😍and she actually works hard for her videos to look like movies
Can we make a petition for glasses to be changed into steampunk styled goggles from now on? They have so much personality
As someone who is legally half blind and had been scone childhood and finds the Victorian style to be superior to modern tastes (they just look batter to me) I second this motion
if you showed this to me in middle/high school when my asmr was still super sensitive my head would’ve exploded
Lol! Right!?!
what do you mean by “still sensitive”? does asmr change overtime?
@@Annafilmz, it certainly did for me. I think I got spoiled, lol. I remember watching simple glass tapping videos recorded with a phone and getting tingles like crazy. Now only very intense sounds on a very sensitive mic are capable of that. But this kind of videos don't relax me at all. Today I watch ASMR for the pleasant unintentional-like sounds and aesthetics. This video here is the perfect example of it.
@@kuafer3687 how often do you watch asmr videos? It is possible to reset the brain sensitivity by longer period of abstinence. Habituation sucks.
@@tes8035, oh, I didn't even think about that
Does anyone else try to read the text at the very bottom edge of those eye charts? This was a well put together video. The metal pieces clicking into place was super tingley. I loved all the attention to using different kinds of lenses. Did you research what that dark lens was for? This was a nice surprise to wake up to. So glad you were able to upload in time.😁 oh and nice touch with the train sounds 👌
This is one of the first ASMR videos I ever watched. It was really my introduction to this type of ASMR roleplay. Now, a year later, I just started my own ASMR channel. Your work inspires me! Thank you for giving us such amazing, lovingly crafted content!

Soon we'll have to get our 2021 appointment... it's been almost a year since our last eye exam! ;)
Love this roleplay SO MUCH, it would be so nice to see the optometrist again in a future video! :)
Ha
It's already posted
Go watch it
Have A Great Day!
Everyone is talking about how great the audio is but I can't get over the setting and props! Like, everything feels so authentic and real and I just cant imagine how long it took her to set everything up!
Stayed for :
• The creativity 🙏
• The examination 🧐
• The tingles😌
• The hard work she put on 👏
Wow, who would've thought that "waving a flame right in front of my eyes" would be a visual trigger?
Having mild myopia and going for glasses wasn’t half as satisfying as this...i am replacing that memory and no one can stop me
can we take a moment to appreciate how much the production quality of these videos has gone up? like yes she was changing the game even with her first roleplays but now the whole set is even more detailed, the camera pans smoothly and the audio quality is amazingly crisp 😍😍 can’t believe we get this for free
My favourite part of this entire video is determining the prescription. "Better or worse?" is now something I can hear and just immediately feel relaxed. It's a good thing I wasn't actually there. Every time she asked me "is it better or worse?" I'd just reply with "you're so much better...oh you mean my eyes...uhhhhhh...I don't know...I can't really focus them even without lenses in the glasses..."
I'd be a pain in the ass customer. So I'm glad that didn't happen.
when she said, "comfortable?" and i was like damn right i am 😌
I am a huge sucker for ASMRtists with fantastical production value and set design. I watch a lot of Latte ASMR and that's how I came to this channel. You both put so much time and effort into the tiny intricate details and it does not go unnoticed. Spectacular job.
Right! If you like the detail in production and set design then you should also check out ATMOSPHERE’s asmr channel:

GOODNIGHT MOON ASMR
as someone with myopia, the sounds of lens going in and out of the frame is absolutely satisfying. You captured the sound here perfectly, sounds legit ㅠㅠ

Same I’m confused now 😂
that is some next level roleplay...
it actually got better O.O
i was, as the kids these days say, “shooketh.”
It's a focal plane thing :) the camera is fixed on her as the focus, but the inserted lens shifts it forward just enough to cause that effect! Notice she becomes slightly blurrier after the lens is put in. Awesome trick though!
My favorite part is when she messes with the lens in the holder.
Moonlight Cottage is probably the highest quality produced ASMR on the internet. She’s on another level.
It’s so nice to find an ASMRtist who cares enough to make extremely high quality & creative videos.
I could listen to hours of her “inaudible whispering” and poking around.
Ah me too, those sounds are my favorite
Everyone who are wearing glasses: *It's free real estate*
The elegance of her video is divine. she always creates superb content. Her content speak for itself. Her videos help me relax on even an extremely tense day. Keep it up. Lots of love❤️
I wouldn't say it's "rare" at all, but Moonlight Cottage is one of the best.
"A few bad apples does not spoil the harvest".
Goodnight Moon is also a great example of that! They both have the same ASMR style too :)
Baron Rascal glad someone said it
Baron Rascal say it again!!!!!!!! A lot of asmr artists don’t show body parts idk what kind of asmr they be watching lol
Her acting is on different level, someone send her to Hollywood! Hats off..the perfection level
I don't understand why this doesn't have millions of views. The amount of work you've clearly put into this is insane.
That deserves a golden globe award. That was brilliant
Question: What's the music at the beginning? Great harmonies.... perfect intro for this masterpiece.
Thanks :) The link is in the description.
I really enjoyed it as well. It looks so good
The inaudible sound she makes while choosing the lens makes me "ga ga".
Could listen to that forever....don't know where, but it sends me there...!
I can already imagine us stumbling into the shop, disorientated and disheveled, cracked googles in hand.
"Oh my, what happened?"
"I may or may not have gotten into a _wee_ bit of a crash."
" _What?_ "
"Your googles weren't the cause of the crash or anything, but I _do_ need a new pair."
"Of course my googles weren't the cause, in fact, they should've prevented it _if_ you were vigilant."
"Oh? Did I miss the switch for x-ray vision on these things? How could I have seen the faulty (sabotaged?) brakes?"
"Hmph, well this new pair will help when you _check_ next time."
"Maybe you should check the eyes of those engineers."
DAMM DANIEL THATS SO POGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't get enough of these videos. Can't say enough of the quality of them with the props, the clothes, the set and the story and time it takes to make it all seem real. It's like you really are there. Love them all.

In 2 years of watching asmr it’s the first time I got tingles with the 18:07 inaudible part congrats I love your works
The accuracy of this is amazing. I felt like I was at my optometrist getting my yearly checkup. Even though we use machines now, I believe optometrists still use this. I love it.
Is it just me or did that one lens actually improve the camera's image? O_o
some comments said that she un focused the camera to give off that improved sight later on! amazing attention to detail
Idk, that freaked me out, I might need glasses 😂

@@Kaster_7282 I mean, it never hurts to check? XD
You have the best most natural inaudible whispers! It’s my fave! 🤗
Yeah that's my fave bit. Her looking for things with the whispers
ABSOLUTELY yes
I didn't know that old optimistists used tinted lenses to determine if people were color blind. That's cool.
If ain’t broke... you know the rest...
Let me explain:
I have bad eyesight, I was born with it like a lot of people.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm happy this science has evolved to be more efficient, I'm actually very grateful, but I still miss the old days...
this is a beautiful memory! i’m glad you found this video (:
La qualité du décor, les accessoires, les costumes, ton personnage... tout est magnifique. Ta chaîne est unique et c’est un pur bonheur ! Bravo ! 🙏 merci
I always love how you actually set up a little set depending on your theme of video. Like all the gadgets and things hanging on the wall. Even the stack of books or just cool, in this case, steampunk looking objects! Really makes me feel like I'm there! :)
