yeah, i agree! at one point in this video she says "that looks cute..." and i legitimately paused the video. i was wondering to myself, "wait a minute, they already said that back then?" because it sounded out-of-place (atleast for me) especially that she has her appearance, props, and setting historically accurate down to the last detail. i looked it up and i wasn't aware that it has been indeed used for a long, long time ago. i know it's trivial but hey, i learnt something new. not only that, but i now have an idea of how people used to pamper themselves during this era, thanks to this video!

Hey, it’s 2021, anything is possible nowadays. Do you remember a time in your life when you didn’t have ASMR ? No, cuz it’s always been there; the feeling you get when someone plays with your hair, the INFAMOUS SCENE FROM TOY STORY 2 ! It’s always been around, it was only recognised and trending about 4-5 years ago. That’s crazy.
This may sound a little silly but I cried a little in moments of this video LOL; because my older sister and I used to play pretend like this when we were so young; girls getting ready for a ball, princesses looking their best for a wedding, or even as a set of twins (even tho we're not so just messing with matching clothes and hair, etc haha), it was magical because of how loving and attentive my sis was to me ♡ She passed away not too long ago, so, watching thru this video with how kind your eyes and voice is like hers was just :'] .. I learned feminine youth through my older sis and had such precious moments with her, you brought them all back by doing what you love and being just as attentive and loving with your craft as she was with everything she did too. Unknowingly, I placed myself and spoke to you as if you were her throughout the whole duration; it's like her final gift to me before I can really move on. On one hand, I think things like this are marvellous, creative and sweet. On the other it makes me really sad because of how lonely everybody is. Like, we all just want someone to talk to us, fuss over us and be our friend.

I still at 24 years old play pretend in my room at night. Scenarios like this, or if I want to clean my room fast I pretend that Im a servant and my lady is coming home in 15 min.
This is top quality as usual, but I can't get over the image of me trundling into her bedroom as she's all dressed up and ready to go and I'm just in a chemise with no makeup and my hair still in rags and my dress in my arms just being like "Hey." 10/10 exactly what I would've been like if I was alive in 1812 tbh.

I used to do all these little things like tying the curtains up with lace and collecting fake flowers to make my surroundings look like an 18th century estate. It didn't work.
Watching this, I felt like she and my mother were childhood friends, and my mother decided to send me away from our little rural village in another country to try to see if I could “better my prospects” in high society. My mother would tell me about her memories of this woman fondly-how she would sometimes whisper to herself, or how she was very particular about how she handled all her things, but how, when she was tending to others she always had a caring, gentle touch. And now, on the eve of my first foray into “high society”, she encourages me through it and I feel less afraid of what’s ahead. Such a great, well-written and well-shot video!

I have been a fan of Jane Austen since I was little girl so this is so fun and relaxing! I agree her content is so on point with how much research she puts in!
For me I imagined that this was my older sister helping me get ready and she's just being super nice and knows what to wear and say for the party since she's done it before.
I'm the youngest. So I have always been kinda spoiled...not in a bad way but because I'm the baby my siblings protected me more. I always wondered what it was like to be the eldest and have to protect a younger sibling.
Coming from the oldest daughter to 3 younger brothers, I have often wondered what it would be like to have my own sister. Growing up in a terribly chauvenistic & male-dominated household was not fun. My mom was gaslit, manipulated & used from the age of 14 to then married at 18 having four kids under the age of 10 whilst only 26 years old at the time herself. I was parentified from ages 7 to 17 years old 🥺 The overwhelming majority of my childhood was spent babysitting even throughout all of my important exam years AND even College. I was also diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic when I had just turned 16 years old. Thank you for these videos 🙏🏼✨️🩵 It's wonderful to 'escape' from reality & pretend I have a big sister who will look after me 😊🩷

It's surprising how you're able to obtain lots of the relics from the past that's still useable. The aesthetic once again are on point. I feel like this woman who made this video really understands the little things that we like to hear. Even taking a few extra seconds to keep touching the fabric at the beginning... (which is my fav part lol). She's so meticulous and methodical in every step she does and every motion has a purpose. Her decorations, wardrobe, background, the mic she uses, her accent and those lil things only she does. Like when she clicks her tongue.. idk. Even up until the 1970s my nana had a little round box of rouge. It seemed very old, the box darkened by age, but the rouge in it was a lovely dusky pink. She used to let me play with it sometimes.

Found this video tonight while trying to find something, anything, to help soothe my 5 year old. She has been so sick and unable to sleep for the last few days. Realized she has never listened to asmr and I found this! Popped some headphones on her and she was smiling and giggling in a matter of minutes. She asked if you were talking to her 😊 She made it 12 minutes and is now sleeping peacefully in my arms. Thank you for putting so much care into your videos! Watching this, I felt like she and my mother were childhood friends, and my mother decided to send me away from our little rural village in another country to try to see if I could “better my prospects” in high society. My mother would tell me about her memories of this woman fondly-how she would sometimes whisper to herself, or how she was very particular about how she handled all her things, but how, when she was tending to others she always had a caring, gentle touch. And now, on the eve of my first foray into “high society”, she encourages me through it and I feel less afraid of what’s ahead.

I'm the youngest. So I have always been kinda spoiled...not in a bad way but because I'm the baby my siblings protected me more. I always wondered what it was like to be the eldest and have to protect a younger sibling.
Coming from the oldest daughter to 3 younger brothers, I have often wondered what it would be like to have my own sister. Growing up in a terribly chauvenistic & male-dominated household was not fun. My mom was gaslit, manipulated & used from the age of 14 to then married at 18 having four kids under the age of 10 whilst only 26 years old at the time herself. I was parentified from ages 7 to 17 years old 🥺 The overwhelming majority of my childhood was spent babysitting even throughout all of my important exam years AND even College. I was also diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic when I had just turned 16 years old.

My husband dearest and I have adopted two kids. Our first was an accident, like most first born' _cough_ . My mother-in-law tried to break our marriage and got my husband drunk enough to 'court' a woman, fast forward 9 months and Janus was born (now 6 yrs old) . Unfortunately, his mother passed after the birth, but like good husbands we raised him a gentle lad. Then our daughter Mia (5), she's a fighter, punched a lad in the face because he tried holding Martha's 😌 got that from me. We've bought a new home, far east...away from demo- I uhm mean mother-in-law. Being Duke is easier than I thought, all the more fun thanks to husband dearest. His still quite handsome and charming, maybe more so due to the grey hair at his temples or the fits of passion about liberty amongst the American colonies. His got quite an interest in politics and spends more time writing essays for the constitution than he does playing Tea Party with Mia, Janus and I. I've got a ship to board that's going to the Colonies with my husband, we plan to join the Revolution. I need to find someone willing to keep Janus and Mia until we return _sigh_ goodbye

I have seen so many roleplays of getting ready for an event but Diane...you always ....always make my day with a video worth watching many times... the details, sounds and aesthetic is soooo on point....
I feel like this woman who made this video really understands the little things that we like to hear. Even taking a few extra seconds to keep touching the fabric at the beginning... (which is my fav part lol). She's so meticulous and methodical in every step she does and every motion has a purpose. Her decorations, wardrobe, background, the mic she uses, her accent and those lil things only she does. Like when she clicks her tongue.. idk. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed this but she's bloody brilliant. She is amazing at this ASMR game and is crushing the so called competition IMO. Even up until the 1970s my nana had a little round box of rouge. It seemed very old, the box darkened by age, but the rouge in it was a lovely dusky pink. She used to let me play with it sometimes.

Found this video tonight while trying to find something, anything, to help soothe my 5 year old. She has been so sick and unable to sleep for the last few days. Realized she has never listened to asmr and I found this! Popped some headphones on her and she was smiling and giggling in a matter of minutes. She asked if you were talking to her 😊 She made it 12 minutes and is now sleeping peacefully in my arms. Thank you for putting so much care into your videos!
