A person can put carob on top(the carob made with barley so it doesn't taste like carob but chocolate) My cooking class made Reese's cups with peanut butter cups with just peanut butter honey and carob and they were delicious! I will save this recipe. Thanks!😊😊

Just like protein is needed for muscles and tissue, but someone with weak kidneys can't handle the necessary amount of protein needed. People need to stop sounding like parrots.

If you add honey it's no longer sugar free. Honey is pure sugar, but let's not forget that if we eat sugar with the right amount of protein and fat together, you won't be having problem with sugar as the proteins and fats slow down the sugar digestion process avoiding peak of insuline. Peanut butter, almonds and coconut oil are great sources of good fat. Nice job there.

Many producers fake honey, they put sugar syrup in to dilute it for profit, so if you don't use raw honey, the benefit of the fructose is even lesser. The taste of the cake is different though, if you are into gourme stuff that might be interesting to try.

You should say Sucrose free, because honey contains both Fructose and Glucose which are types of sugar. People might think by the title that there are no types on sugar in the energy bars and honey is definitely containing sugars other than sucrose.

@@barbsdee3831 It is better to add very little honey, it gives a nice flavor. However, you are free to vary the recipe as you see fit. Sugar and salt enhance the flavor, and if they are excluded, the dish can become bland.
@@fmcm7715I'm not the author of the video, but my understanding is that adding 10-20 grams of honey/sugar to desserts adds tenderness to them. Everyone has the right to cook to their own taste, but my experience is that if you don't add honey/sugar to such desserts, the taste will be very different and unfortunately, not for the better.
Coconut flour is the best, in terms of carbs and starch, it doesn't spike glucose levels, would love to see you do a recipe like this with cocnut flour, it's allot more absorbent than almond flour. So would need less flour maybe, hope to see a cocnut flour version 🙏👍
Thanks. This recipe is a great idea and wonderfully easy. Sadly my peanut butter is too oily and runny so I will need to increase the amount of almond flour to make it firm enough. I have 100% peanut butter but it's too runny and I have to eat these with a spoon as they didn't firm up in the fridge overnight.
