I still can't play the game on my pc. Client fails to launch properly all the time and stutters are everywhere so... I just quit after the first 2 weeks.
I do agree they still have work to do with mobile optimization as well as needing a console release, but I do believe most of it has to do with this patch just being down time in the game. The past few banners before the patch actually earned pretty decent amount of revenue (even though sensor tower didn't reflect the first few crucial days of Changli's banner), so they're not flat out "consistently failing", but rather, it's an expected downturn in revenue due to filler patch. I'm pretty sure we're going to see an increase in revenue again once Blackshores comes out.
I imagine a lot of people who play WW also play Genshin. So I don't think it's much of a stretch to assume that people finished WW's current event and then swapped over to playing through Genshin's new region.
What you and all the gacha CCs are missing is the fact that Black Myth Wukong launched on Aug 20 and sold over 15 million units in its first five days, grossing more than the entirety of all the Mihoyo games combined. The majority of players were Chinese. PlayStation 5s sold out in China, demand was so high. Unlike gacha game CCs, gacha games themselves do not exist in a vacuum.
@@uchennaobi5985a lot of Chinese players did not have consoles since console gaming is something relatively new to them(only really got popularbin the last 5 years), so they had to buy the console too, sony even increased the price of the PS5 in some Asian territories to cash in on this opportunity. You also need to take into account that for a lot of players the new characters in the current zzz,Genshin and HSR banners aren't that appealing to people. ZZZ was not going to keep the momentum of launch sales(and quingyi is not that appealing to a lot of people) in Genshin most people skipped pulling in the last 2 patches in order to save for natlan release so they had F2P resources and did not need to spend in 5.0(and a lot are still saving for the pyro archon in 5.3) Same thing for hrs, most people skipped Yunli, and a lot of people are skipping jiaoqiu because there are good enough F2P options to replace them.
is this really classified as a drama video? I don’t trash talk a single game and take an analytical approach… if feeling upset for FGO players ‘cause I think they’re getting shafted is drama then so be it
Especially for hoyo games, something like half of the playerbase is in PC. For Wuwa it should be even more skewed towards PC since mobile optimization is a mess
What you don't know is that the android mobile revenue is guessed at a 1.75 modifier based on ios revenue in china, so the numbers can actually be way different even under the "Mobile Only" category.
Lace! You gotta make some Sword of Convallaria videos! Volkin & TimaeuSS from HSR have been making a lot of content videos on it, and the community is doing well :)
One thing I think contributes to rates and pulls is that devs will try to match their banners to major market holidays. China is having their 1 week (Golden Week) holiday in early Oct. We can expect higher pull revenue during that period. Just look at the cast (banners released) during that period (1 week before to 1 week after the golden week)... Genshin: Xilonen HSR: Lingsha ZZZ: Caesar King, Burnice White Wuwa: Shorekeeper
Pretty much, people skipped Emile and due to that they probably had enough resources to get the 5.0 characters with minimal spending, Genshin revenue is probably going to plateu untill Mavuika and capitano comes out
Even if Emelie was better looking people would have saved for Natlan, and with ZZZ most players are just waiting for Jane, while I'm struggling to get Qingyi before she's gone...
Not surprised wuthering is dropping off. I mean it's dropped every month since release. first fanboys said because it released near the end of the month it's not fair despite 95% of gacha sales coming from days 1-2 of a new banner, then fanboys said it was because they gave free 5*.... Because a 5* standard banner will really stop whales from rolling for limited. Now the next month fanboys will say its low because they gave away the new male character for free... Spoiler they gave him out for free because they knew no one would roll for him. There are some very professional excuses being made for wuthering continued decline when the game just doesn't have it. Absolutely zero end game the new game exploration is ran out even for people playing casually. The games story is just horrible feels like AI wrote it. I really think people underestimate story in these games. The fact star rail beats genshin a lot of months shows how far story carries a gacha even if its lacking in other areas. I think wuwa will probably settle around a 5m per month income apart from when they release some huge tit 90% naked character to boost it up a bit which to be fair is far from a dead or failed game it's just also far far from the "its going to be the most popular game in gacha you are all wrong best devs in the world" yappers lol
I'm pretty sure Hina is more popular than Ako, she's was even the main character of the event and you were able to walk around as her chibi model, she could even wear pijamas and look at her mirror (which has reflection enabled) to get ready to sleep, I tried to get her, but no luck, got Dress Ako tho, altho I wanted to get both of them since they have special interactions with their chibis.
So true about FGO man. So frustrating. I played it for about 4 years and whaled quite a bit, finally managed to quit a year ago. Seriously the game peaked at LB6 and has become a cash cow ever since. The story, its best selling point, has stalled for so long now, the only logical explanation is they dont wanna pull the plug and stop the cash flow. But people are so trapped by sunk cost fallacy now in its 9 years of existence they will just keep rolling no matter what.
Emilie's banner was the one before 5.0. What's the smart thing to do when you know a new region is coming out in Genshin? Save, obviously. So I assume that's what a lot of people did.
Imo, the only reason why emilie didn't pop off because of the natlan drip. This is common practice in genshin for years now. Majority are always saving for the archon or new upcoming characters. But emilie is a very good unit overall. But yeah i agree. I think mualani carry the manority revenue in that 3 days alone.
I think Arknights is gonna have back-to-back higher numbers than normal. Since it's placement on the list includes both global and CN numbers, and both servers are having a collaboration this month. Delicious in Dungeon for CN, and Rainbow 6 Siege got Global. Limited banners, especially collaboration banners, tend to do pretty well for Arknights. Could be wrong though.
As an FGO Global player since day one while many people would love an updated game the problem is how to transfer their roster to said new game, and if that’s not a thing then people who have been playing for 7 years (9 in JP) are gonna be PISSED. They are in a lose lose situation
about the pity system in FGO they already implement since 5th year anniversary if my memory not wrong. they only make some slightly upgrade on pity system from this year anniversary.
is it worth going back to I stopped playing half way through season 1 never even finished the story my server was dying and got put with a bunch of super whales so pvp was impossible which made progression a pain
you're so cool and respectful about lads i hope you get your swimsuit lumine
Wuwa is consistently falling because the mobile optimizations are absolutely trash.
And no controller support on mobile (unless they have added to Android)
