What if it can't be pulled up any further? This happened to me twice in rental cars where the previous user pulled up the parking brake way too hard, causing it get jammed in the process.

Hi, and thanks for watching! In most cases, there are always at least a couple of millimeters left to pull. This should be enough to release the handle, but more force is needed.
