+Johnny McKnight Yeah. I also hate videos where people beat around the bush endlessly. Especially having to explain what the video is about for half a minute when it's already clearly mentioned on the link they clicked on.
Lmao. Me too. I am going today to a driving school and mad worried I couldn't operate a handbrake because I've tried pushing and I can't. I thought I'm too weak.
You're literally a life saver. I've been struggling for months and driving on its own is scary. Imagine having to worry about deactivating the handbrake 😖 Thank you so much.
with my car my hand brake sticks. so when i need to pull it i have to press the button. when i took my test the guy started getting mad at me and yelled when i pressed the button to pull it up. i told him to get out of my car if he was going to act like a child. and thats how i failed my first drivers test XD
Lol some old guys used to old cars instead of modern once..... trust I got yelled at alot on my test but I didnt really care and ignored about the yelling and start what hes tallking is right and follows it
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. My husband yells at me when I can’t figured out instead of teaching me. Again thank you and God Bless
Actually had an issue today my daughter was in front seat While we waiting on my wife at the doctors office, she pulled it up and when I tried to put it down the button was super tight and I almost panicked 😂 thanks for the help !!
Omg I was freaking out this morning cause my mechanic used it and left it parked like that and I had to go to work and your first tip did it! Thank you so much
Thank you for this video. Was sat in my car for a good half hour before stumbling on this video and finding out how to put the hand brake down if it’s too high. Direct and to the point.
Can you make a video on how to change lane properly, how to merge into traffic with or without a stop sign, how to park uphill or downhill, emergency parking and how to safely drive at night. :) I hope I'm not asking for too much lol
+sallystar1992 Lane changes is coming soon. Uphill or downhill parking this spring. How to drive safely at night is the same thing as in the day except visibility is reduced. Maybe I could do something on that too. Haven't thought about it yet. As for emergency parking and merging with/without a stop, I'm not sure I get what you mean by that.
+Conduite Facile emergency parking meaning in an event were your car brakes down, how and where would you pull over. in my area there are places where there are stop sign right before you merge into traffic, I'm unsure on where to stop. should I stop before the stop sign or pull up near the sidewalk so that I can see oncoming traffic better? I hope you understand what I mean lol. I'm looking forward to watching some new video you plan on uploading soon. thanks again
Ok. I get it. I do talk about that stop thing in one of my videos. I don't remember exactly which one. It's one of those "7 Tips for the Driving Exam". Basically, when the stop is for everybody (every corner) it's whoever came first has priority. If it's an individual stop (just for you), you have to stop at the stop line first (if there's no line, at the stop post or just behind the sidewalk line), then you have to move far enough so that you can see well on both sides. Then if there's nobody, you can go. Hope this helps. I have a video specifically on stops planned, but it won't be until next spring. Too much snow here. By the way, where are you driving?
I just got a new car and it has a hand brake. I'm used to older car styles so when I first saw that and the dual-clutch automatic, I got scared lmao but turned out to be easy to use in one go. upgraded from a 1997 dodge caravan to a 2019 Ford Fiesta SE
Very good video! Could you please low the volume for each new tip? If I set to the volume such that I can hear your voice clearly, the tip music/sound effect is too loud and may be damaging to the ears in the long-term. I don't know if you fixed this in your recent videos already, but if you did, sorry
CreativiTimothy so in driving test do you do the kgb method which is key the car on, gear to drive , then deactivate the parking brake ? Or does it matter what order ?
Thank you. I had my dads car handbrake up after a... "not agreed upon night" and didn't know how to put it back down because it was stuck .... Freaked out abit not gonna lie. But your first tip helped.
Basic bt life time helpful tips ,I really appreciate ur struggle to understand the new drivers abt this v important control which is misused mostly by experienced drivers too . I love the way u explained the all. Thanks n HAppy new Year 2016.
U are Always on point, i wish you can go on on large vehicles like trucks. I think you u need to write a book about driving ,some people dont have access to youtube thank you
Ya my mk3 gti e break stick was all the way up cause I was cleaning it and it would go down and I was freaking out, so thanks this really helped and it’s good now
Awesome video! I got two questions! If I'm going to park, should I FIRST move the gearshift lever to Park (P) and then engage the parking brake? If I'm going to set the vehicle in motion, should I disengage the parking brake after moving the gearshift lever in drive (D)?
The hand brake is jammed high with almost no room to lift.I pull up then press button, but nothing happens. It ususally went down when pressed previously, but last time i clicked it up,then went to release. Its jammed high. The cars still moves though. Its about 10-15yrs old.Can you suggest any more things to get it to go down without further jamming it?Thanks
Right genuine question, I've always wondered why some peoples hand breaks make that loud crunchy noise when they put them on. Is it because they don't press the button in and just pull it up? Sounds awful but I was always under the impression and was taught to always press the button in when putting on or taking off the hand break. Thanks in advance, I know its random just wondered 😊😊
Question 🙋♀️. My husband put me in his car, yelled at me that he wasn’t going to tell me anything. That I would have to see what does what in the car. I’m afraid to ask him, how far up do I pull up the parking brake? With all my strength? Or just till it goes up? Thank You for your time.
Pull it with a bit less than "almost all your strength". Try it a few times in a row. You should then get a feel for how hard you need to pull it so that you'll still be able to take it off without too much of a hassle.
Once I pulled the lever so tight that it seemed impossible to push back. After fidgeting for a while, I gave the button a hard whack with my hand, and the lever instantly went down.
Could you please explain about how many kilometers in hour, we can use the number ( 1,2,3,4,5 ) examples: 40km, 50 km, 60km, 70km, 80km, so which number is the right for those number? ( sorry my English not so good 😊)
I have a a question. I have a foot (emergency) brake. In what sequence should you apply the emergency brake? 1. Brake 2. Shift to park with brake still pressed 3. Apply foot brake Would this effect my car negatively? If so, what's the better sequence for it? 3. P
I love the way this guy gets to the point. Other people play around too much for me.
+Johnny McKnight Yeah. I also hate videos where people beat around the bush endlessly. Especially having to explain what the video is about for half a minute when it's already clearly mentioned on the link they clicked on.
Ditto
+Conduite Facile I love your voice.
Johnny McKnight DASWUSHESAYD
So true.
I really thought I was just crazy weak cause couldn’t push the button in lol
same omg
Same here.. I will definitely have to go back n practice pulling that hand brake.... especially since I have a standard transmission car.
No no
Yeah, I just started driving again after a long break and omg, I was struggling. It's because I've been pulling it up too far.
Lmao. Me too. I am going today to a driving school and mad worried I couldn't operate a handbrake because I've tried pushing and I can't. I thought I'm too weak.
pro tip: use it around turns to get some mad angles.
Pro tip #2: That's a 1254$ fine here in Quebec.
worth it
You have to be joking. THAT MUCH??? You can buy second hand car where I live for that money.
How
Conduite Facile that's OK I'll pay it
I'm a newbie driver and still learning a lot from my car. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you so much for this I thought I was incompetent and just didn't have enough power to press the button on the hand brake to pull it down
Yes I felt the same, I used a glove cuz my weak thumb was hurting 😆
@@marcgroetsch2216 same here..omg... i thought i'm the only one... 🤣🤣🤣
I feel the same way..and this video really help
Lol same here🤪

Thank you for this. I honestly had no idea how to use the emergency brake at all but was too embarrassed to ask. 😔 This video helped me alot
Emergency braking, thank you for glossing over it, I have a fear that my brakes will give out or hardly work when I drive. So this helped.
You're literally a life saver. I've been struggling for months and driving on its own is scary. Imagine having to worry about deactivating the handbrake 😖
Thank you so much.
Just 45 seconds into this video, I was able to resolve the issue with my cars hand break. Thanks👍🙏
Imagine that: approaching a busy roundabout, stopping, engaging the handbrake, and then being unable to disengage it. Absolutely horrifying.
During my practicals in school today, I wasn't able to use the hand brake properly but now I have gotten it. Thanks alot
always to the point, clear and short videos. What can one expect more? Thank you for sharing'em.
I just bought a car, I'm a new driver and you're the most knowledgeable guy. Thank you :)

Literally just made use of this.
Thank you. I believe new drives can use this type of video to learn, cause they may not like asking.
In my case no one who have owned cars for decades uses the parking brake so when I asked for help they just told me the war was ruined
Thanks a lot bro it really helped me in my toughest times

1. Brake
2. Shift to park with brake still pressed

That's the right sequence. Same as for hand brake.
