- Indigenous hip hop artist Frank Waln performs on stage in front of thousands at the final day of action for the Reject and Protect gathering in Washington DC. Frank's performance captures the spirit of the strength and resistance of the many Indigenous land defenders who will not allow pipelines or tar sands on their sacred ground. #OcetiRising #HonorTheTreaties #NoKXL #NoTarSands #IdleNoMore

Frank Waln isn’t this Nathan Phillips in your video? I was at the protest and theyI was talking to an elder name Nathan who sang the AIM song at the action at the Lincoln memorial. I was talking to Nathan right before you performance. A photographer told me to move out of the way so they could take his picture. A lot of media wanted photos and interviews. This seemed different. They weren’t very nice about it. Nathan looked at me with an uncomfortable look. It seemed like the photographer though he was entitled to take his photo.
