Watched a video that the percentage in USA is in the 30a for the divorce rate. The video was of a Christian. SATAN hates marriage, yes. But the data shows that the divorce rate isn't anywhere near 50%.

This hit me hard because I myself left my husband during a time where i was VERY emotional. We had been going through a lot and one day things just went left and that day out of anger and resentment and being super emotional i chose to leave thinking I was doing the right thing. I regret it so much today but God has been correcting me in this season and showing me that I am not perfect regardless of what my husband has done, I am not perfect and I also need to work on myself and my heart. So it’s a blessing in disguise. Thank God my husband is still willing to work things out during this season, but I truly believe God allowed all of this to happen to not only restore our marriage but to help correct me where I am wrong and He also confirmed to me that He is working on my husband but for no i need to focus on me and my relationship with God and in HIS timing He will bring us back together. I ask for prayers during this time because it is very hard but with God and His strength and peace we are able to go through these times. In Jesus name ♥️

I will say a prayer for you, but please be careful with asking for prayers. God had to show me that if people are not faithfully following Him they maybe praying for your demise. Stick with what the Lord is working out in you. This can be a painful process because we are sometimes so blind to ourselves. Know your Bible so the you will know what and who are of the Lord. You guys have chosen to give your covenant over to the Lord and that is awesome.❤️❤️❤️

When my husband and I talked about marriage we agreed that “divorce” would never be an option. Every person in both our families had been divorced and remarried. We experienced through them how marriage can go downhill when God is not first. It simply was not an option. We will be married 28 years in November and are happier than ever. Praise God! As a consequence, our children have seen us work through tough times and rely on God to get through it. Breaking that generational curse was big. I pray our children will lead by our example and put God first when they are ready for marriage.

😂😂 If she wants to leave, are you not going to let her leave, so you are going to "kill her" to stay? I cry and beg my wife to come back. I know exactly what Tyre's gone through; it's like pulling a donkey up the hill who doesn't want to. What a strain that is. Most women leave you months before in their minds and hearts before leaving physically fighting and begging for someone to stay with them. You would have to do that for the rest of your life. And that's not love.

100% I am so glad before I got married, my husband's brother who is a pastor told me how important a relationship with God is before being in a marriage. Because it's a covenant with God as well. It means nothing without God.
I didn't know God before I got married. He talked to me and had me think through some things and read some things and reason through things before getting married. So I've always known how important my relationship with God is in my marriage, and I KNOW I do things with and for my husband and family FOR GOD too. It's been wonderful and made my marriage so manageable, and loving.

People throw around scriptures here and there when they wanna claim being Christians in the midst of vulgar language and foul behavior thinking it’s ok. I could go sooooo deep with that alone. Tyrese didn't want a saved woman. He wanted a pretty woman with a certain arab look so he can show her off to his Dubai friends. Beauty is deceptive and highly effective. I made the same mistake and married a beautiful Muslim man. I should not have been so easily fooled, but Beauty is intoxicating and deceptive. It glittered and I thought it was Gold so I became unequally yoked. This is why God warned us not do it. If you marry someone that is NOT saved and do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the Devil will use that person to destroy you. Unsaved people are tools of the Devil. Many fall to this ageless trick.

Just wanted to say this. Dr. Charles Stanley said, remember the word HALT, when you have to make life alterning decisions. HALT means, never make decisions when you are hungry, angry, lonely or tired. That acronym has always been my guide when making life altering decisions. Hope this helps someone because it surely has helped me through life! Above all pray and ask God first because father knows best. He is the Alpha and Omega and knows the beginning to the end. Both me and my ex husband of 40 years now regrets our divorce. We should have gotten counseling and asked God if we should divirce but we didn't. Long story short he remarried but he still loves me and said he would divorce his now wife and remarry me but I could not cause another woman that kind of pain I went through when he cheated on me although I had biblical grounds for divorcing him.

You both will find each other.
Don't let , non interest mean that you don't care for a relationship at all.

Lead others and fear and worry not but rejoice in his glory for we are the children of the most High up in heaven and are blessed by him over our past.
Not all know Jesus before marriage, but many have saved themselves or their marriage through Christ. Plant the seeds into your marriage, and God will heal and make all things correct and holy.

You definitely have to put God first in a marriage if you want it to last. The honeymoon period only lasts a short while. There have been days I didn't even want to speak to my husband, due to some foolishness he said or him behaving a certain way. And vice versa! It's not easy. But we owe it to our kids to figure it out. All things are possible in Christ. Put your trust in him, and seek him constantly. Pray with your spouse, and pray over your spouse daily, genuinely, and earnestly, and watch your marriage transform.

I understand your fear. Based on the slim pickings out there, your fears make perfect sense. Don’t let people quote Bible verses to you without validating your concerns. People love to spew forth Scriptures as bandaids without thinking things through. It’s very insensitive and invalidating.
God does not condemn you for your fears. He understands even better than you do, the underlying cause of your fears. He will gently lead you through your fears. That is why he allowed David to write so many Psalms about his emotional and spiritual struggles. In a world of sinners, emotional life is hard. Our emotions are often tormented from our own flesh and it’s craziness, and from the craziness of the world and the devil. The world, the flesh, and the devil, do a work on us. THAT is why we need the comfort and instruction of God’s word and the Holy Spirit.

Hi Nick. I’ve watched a few of your videos and I agree with your biblical standpoints. This video in particular. I’m 42 and never been married, not because I have never been asked but because I couldn’t enter into that covenant with someone who didn’t feel the same. One thing you said about the husband needs to fight for his marriage. I think from a woman’s perspective that she should also fight to keep her marriage in troubled times.

  • @ares3914
    @ares3914 Год назад +22

Brother you hit it right on the head saying the husband has to be submitted to God.
The wife be submissive to your husband and the husband be submissive to your wife. For the husband's body does not belong to himself but to ther wife and same for the wife.
Emotions can be an excuse for temptation. When temptation enters then you aren't thinking anymore your just emotional.
When temptation creeps in for me, i submit that to God and all my feelings with it And seek him to tell me if it is for me or not. God tells me "no" meaning its not good for me and i ask for forgiveness and move away from that temptation or by the time I've submitted to God that temptation as fled. The devil flees when you submit to God.

    Brother Nick,
I am grateful beyond words how truthful your words were concerning this matter. The Holy Spirit was truly with you. Let me just say this: if every black man thought the way you do, and practiced this, our communities, would be RADICALLY VIBRANT and SAFE! The rest of the world would be coming to black men to find out, “how do y’all do it?!?!”
Your words did my heart so much good, and they simultaneously broke my heart. It did my heart good, because finally a black man is taking a STAND and speaking the truth! THIS is what we need!!! To hear truth does something to the heart that is really indescribably life-infusing. To hear truth about how the husband needs to submit to God, before his wife can comfortably submit to him from her heart with confidently, was so beautiful. To hear how Tyrese should have kept his thoughts private and not spoken so harshly about the mother of his daughter was so comforting! To hear how a man should not just let his wife leave without fighting for the marriage was so gratifying! This is how ALL men need to be, regardless of their color, but it is ESPECIALLY needed in so many black communities!
Hearing your words broke my heart, because I’ve never heard anyone publically speak out about this so accurately from a Holy Spirit perspective. The LACK of black men saying what you have said breaks my heart! 😪 I cannot even articulate the sadness I carry about this.
I compared your truth with all the lies that the majority of black male leaders speak to black people. It is profoundly depressing to see such men get air time, time after time, and they speak zero truth. They are clouds without water as the book of Jude says.

Hurt people hurt people. When marriages start from body, soul, to Spirit vs Spirit, soul, to body this is what you get faulty foundations. They speak on the word of God when it’s befitting to make them feel good about the situation and point fingers to say I am right, but don’t honor the word of God fully. Both of them are wrong and immature.
Great words of wisdom you shared NJ.

I thank God for giving me a great 40 year marriage with a man that was a gift from God. Unfortunately, he died 2 years ago, 5 days after our 40th wedding anniversary. He died of covid. We were friends since I was 8 and he was 10.

I’m not gonna lie, everything you said is true. This was a message for me. Every time I feel my wife disrespects me with her mouth or smart attitude, I always think about the possibility of a divorce later down the road. I also say, “ if she was a dude, she would definitely get slapped” but just for the record I have never laid my hand on any woman I never intend to. But I’m not too patient and I know all of this is happening because of a lack of closeness to the savior. If anybody has any tips on anything, I would love to hear them in regards to handling your wife and also how to get closer to God/to hear from him.

So sweet . You are being brutally honest. Other than knowing Jesus, I don’t have a good solid advice. I just thought of something. Do you have any friends or family that you feel are a good example in this area? Spend time with them, especially the man. Go to a men’s Bible study and be around godly men . God bless you!

Cast down all pride bro, because that’s all it is. When your wife says something you don’t like pray that God brings correction to her and he will do it. Me and my wife have been getting deliverance from this type of pride of always wanting to have the last word or just having to say I told you so. It’s all rooted in pride and the devil is trying to cause division in y’all’s marriage. Y’all need to both remember vengeance is not yours pray for one another that God brings correction. keep your moths closed and watch God work. Every time y’all argue and pride gets in the way the devil is sitting back laughing.

He right about parents. Sometimes parents are an enemy to your marriage even if it's unintentional. Oh and believe me it's not always about single parents. My dad was just as vocal about being independent as my mom and they are married.

I agree with you. I think this marriage was doomed from the beginning. There is a level of dishonesty that I’m picking up here from both of them. If she was as simple as she said she was, why get into a relationship with a superstar? If you believed she was a simple woman, why have an iron clad prenup?
