    Just had to do this when my andis ceramic blade had a slight high point in the middle of the blade. Now I’m just using the stock blade with this mod, thanks bro. 👍

    Out of all the videos I watched to perform this zero gap operation, this was by far the best! Please consider doing a video to replace the metal moving cutter blade with a ceramic blade.

    What would happened if the two screws holding the metal plate that you cut got loose from usages? Would the metal plate move up with the cutting blade and cut you?

    • @cuppabeans
      @cuppabeans  7 лет назад +3

      kyanledesign it'd be pretty bad if they went loose but they haven't for me and it's been almost 2 years! Just make sure you really tighten the screws.

    • @InfamousPlatoon
      @InfamousPlatoon 2 года назад

      Put some lock tight on the thread of the screws before you tighten them to have it even less likely that the screws will become lose

  • @strinity511

    Better way is to use some good round gun files and just file back the screw holes instead of cutting the backs out.

    Can you use this methods with a ceramic blade? It's longer than the standard blade.

    • @cuppabeans
      @cuppabeans  7 лет назад +9

      I believe you wouldn't have to do this if you get the ceramic blade, it'll be long enough to zero gap it from what I've seen in other videos

  • @rayd408
    @rayd408 4 года назад +3

    I should have done this instead of getting the Andis ceramic blade. The andis blade is wider and you will not be able to use your oster guards. The blade will hit the guards making them loud and unable to cut as good. No one tells you this in all the zero gap videos. Fast feeds with the andis ceramic blade is good if you plan to just use it to fade and not use any guards.

    • @graves3000
      @graves3000 4 года назад +1

      If you zero gap with an Andis Course Ceramic Blade, you should pick up a set of Andis Master DUAL Magnetic Comb Set. They are better comb set, in my opinion. Just make sure they are the purple, DUAL magnet jawns. Andis does also sell purple, SINGLE magnet combs. I have zero gapped Oster Fast Feeds both ways and both ways work great, it comes down to preference.

    Just buy a ceramic bottom blade. It takes less than 5 minutes to do, you can potentially mess your blades up with this mod.

    • @Deon0026yickadee

      Matthew Richardson So you think just adding the Ceramic blade is enough. So have you done this?

    • @Hopewe1l
      @Hopewe1l 4 года назад

      Deon 0026 He’s saying, you DON’T need to do this. Just buy a ceramic blade. Then, there is no need to do all the stuff you just watched in the video. Good luck though.

      It saves you the labor of doing the mod and in my opinion the blends come out much more smoother with the ceramic, especially with the Andis Medium Cutter blade

    The Oster Fast Feed has been around forever. It's hard to believe that Oster doesn't sell a piece that is already channeled and relies on the user to fabricate it themselves. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the tutorial video but Oster Inc. has to do a better job here.

      They do, this tutorial is a huge waste. Just use a number 1 blade from a classic 76.
