i have used welding cable for battery cables you can find the ends to fit them you can crimp them on or melt a wheel weight in the cup and stick the cable into it

For the cat pee smell get you a couple boxes baking soda and pour them into an old cake pan and put it in the truck, hopefully it will help absorb the smell.
You crawled under the truck without safety goggles or protective eyewear. Getting debris in your eyes can hurt as much as a getting clawed by a chicken.
