Thanks for the idea. I did same thing but with flexible led strips designed for truck bed lights. I Did inside my cargo enclosure and one on the hatch glass
Saved this video thanks, going to have to look to maybe hard wire to the cargo light. My 2022 Bronco outlet times out as soon as I cut turn off the Bronco. Does not stay on for an hour like your did.
@@shockerracing thanks! I could definitely do one there to light the outside, but will have to look for something shorter to light the inside…maybe mounted on the roll cage.
You should stick the interior one on the plastic cover. Much better interior lighting. Also you can power it off a PD cigarette to USB adapter with a 12V trigger cable.
I like the idea of tapping into the 12v plug. Is there any issue using the 12v plug at the same time as having the lights on? Say a 12v fridge in the plug and lights on? No issues blowing a fuse? Thanks for your vid and help!
@@shockerracing Thanks for the quick reply!!! I may still try hardwiring some light into the back there. Right now I got it by the 12V adapter but seeing as I never remove the light, hardwiring would really clean it up. Thanks for your help!
you should have wired them to the aux switches in the cab, there are circuit wires that lead to the rear from the hood th behind the glove box then finally to the rear trunk space behind one of the panels. This way you can leave it on as long as you want because the auto power doesn't cut out
Would you be able to let me know the dimensions of the plastic panel you put your switch in? How deep is it behind there? Do you think a small 12v computer fan could be cut into that panel and installed on it's own switch? Do you think there would be enough room for airflow behind that panel. Just thinking of a clean way to get some air flow if sleeping in the back. Your video inspired me!
Thank you for this video! Is there a wire you can tap into that will always be on? Thinking of a 2 8 inch red led strips on each end and then 3 8 inch white led strips in the middle. Wired to two lights so depending on what type you want. Do you know is there a wire that you can tap into to always have power? Not just within 1 hour? Thanks again.
I’m not sure about where to find a wire that will stay powered on longer. I haven’t had a chance to play around more. Do you have the auxiliary switches?
Nice installation, but the continuous Amazon referrals kinda bums me out since I know how hard independent retailers work to survive without the extra "advertising" Amazon gets from these videos.
That's a really clean install. My 2021 Badlands is being built right now, and I'll definitely be putting this in. Thanks.

This is really helpful regarding to the lack of light 💡 in the bronco, ordering my light bars right now, thank you 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was Looking forward to your bronco content, sadly you already sold it 😂
@@Monicagellerazz we still have access to my dads Bronco that we will be doing a few things with.

This is awesome. Thank you for taking the time to go into so much detail. I’m doing this for sure.
You’re welcome!
That’s just awesome one of the best mods I’ve seen so far …. thank you for such a good video
I did something like this on our Old Nissan Xterra.. So handy to have light there
Thanks for the how-to. I’ll have to keep an eye out for something that could work with the soft top once I take delivery.
I was thinking you could mount it on the tailgate itself for the soft top.
@@shockerracing thanks! I could definitely do one there to light the outside, but will have to look for something shorter to light the inside…maybe mounted on the roll cage.
Great idea and install video. I have a soft top so I'd probably use the roll bar. Again great video.
Thank you! You could also mount one on the inside of the tailgate
Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome!
great job and explanation
Thank you!
thats dope....I may try this.
It’s really awesome to have!
Turned out great! 😁
Thanks dude!

I’m honestly not sure about having a fridge plugged in. It probably depends on how much power it draws.

I did think about that recently, but I did want to have a switch in the back.
Wrong, aux switches are slave to ignition
Cool setup. Did you happen to use some kind of quick disconnect on the wires, for if you choose to take the rear top off?
Yes, the lights come with a quick disconnect.

Neat idea. So the 12 volt outlet is hot all the time now?
Yes, but it seems to time out after an hour.
Do you have a video of the install on the Mojito?
Yes, here it is: ruclips.net/video/1MHUcaXEU5U/видео.html
So does the limit you when it comes to removing the roof of the bronco?
Not at all, with the way I wired it it’s just a simple quick connector.
Good idea. How long have you had it in your Jeep? How does the 3m tape stand up on the trail?
It’s been on the Jeep for over a year and is super solid. It hasn’t budged, even on the sand dunes.
@@shockerracing awesome thanks man

Huh?
@@shockerracing bronco
Oh haha I was asking which one you like better
@@ethanfleming2187 lol, so far I think we are still liking the Jeeps best. But give it some time for us to make the Bronco ours.
