Super camp Dan and what a pitch ⛺️ you where right to stay for the views and take the suboptimal tent pitch rocks drop offs ect 👍
It definitely was busy but there plenty of space up there 😊🙏🏼⛰
Cracking video
Best wishes Simon 😊🙏🏼⛰
Glad you enjoyed it, I was well happy with the spot and I knew the weather was decent enough to not affect the tent in a bad way. Whilst I could see a fair few other campers, it didn't seem busy, which is a great thing about there being so many nice spots up there
Thanks for watching Simon, all the best pal 👍
@@1982Noddin cheers Dan all the best m8t 😊👍⛰
Enjoyed watching this Dan. I was this way on myself not too long ago but bivvied on that occasion just below Dovestone Tor.
I could empathise with you regarding pitching the Anaris. It's got quite a large footprint and can be a bit difficult at times to squeeze into places were something like the Enan would be a breeze. Lovely airy, spacious tent though. Mine had its first taste of really strong winds in the Lake District recently and I was really impressed with how it stood up.
Dark Peak is one of my favourite areas.
ATB.
Yeah, other than it needing a bit more room, it's literally perfect. The Dark Peak is on my doorstep, so I love it. Thankyou for watching 👍
@@1982Noddin 🙂👍
I was there last Tuesday night after work but got there a little late and there was a couple already there so I went half an hour further and camped up in the dark. Not so well known area but worth it as your video clearly showed. Pitching for me is quite easy most times as my footprint is rather small (Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1) Liked and Subscribe.
Somehow missed this comment, it had been put into the "held for review" for some reason! Did you vlog your adventure up here, I love watching other peoples adventures, especially in area's I know. A smaller footprint tent would definately work better, but, I make it work where I can,
Thankyou for watching bud, cheers 👍
@@1982Noddin Yeah I think you found the video. It is more fun when you have been there yourself. We all encourage one another to go on that next adventure lol
Hi Dan, I hope your keeping well. Nice start to a hike with a nice cold drink. Lovely weather, sunny 😎 does sound a bit windy. You got a cracking sunshine! Great spot to pitch up. Fab video Dan. 😍
It was all round perfect. Thanks for watching 👌
Brilliant vlog Dan. I was planning it this week but it will be too hot I think. One question, can you see the Dam Buster's Dam from there or not? Just thought I might get the shot from up there. Really loving these longer Ethels. At least you aren't like me claiming I'd done Back Tor but I was by Lose Hill. Who would have thought there were two Back Tors? Thanks for sharing.
You can't really see the Dams from this high up, but if you drop further down the edge you can mate.
On this second round of Ethel's I'm trying to take different, more leisurely routes compared to what I took the first time round, good to see the landscape from different angles and explore different ways up! There seems to be a few names repeated within the National Parks, it never helps! My mate camped at Angle Tarn in the Lake District and I was shocked when he told me there are 2 of them!
Thanks for watching pal! 👍
Nice one, awesome looking spot. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! I think its probably the best spot i've ever had on a Wild Camp!
Cracking pitch, another great vid 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the video brother
No problem 👍 Thankyou for watching
Great vid mate, loved that 👌🏻
Cheers dude, thanks for watching 👍
Great looking tent! Lovely pitch too.
Treat yourself to a wind proof microphone and you’ve got a corker 👌🏼
It didn't seem that windy whilst I was out but the audio came out really quite bad. Thankyou for watching 👍
@@1982Noddin never does mate, happened to us loads but didn’t ruin the video 👍🏼
@@Professionalmoochers very kind
There's no holding you back dan now on your second Ethel round. I think you are right about being your best pitch yet. what a great spot and of course stunning weather.
as ever a great watch.
cheers Dan.
Thankyou for such a kind comment, means alot from a top man like your self! Hope you are well 👍
@@1982Noddin all's well Dan 🍻
Great vid Dan, this is what has always put me off from buying a non freestanding tent, even though they are more lightweight x my friend Charlotte has also been left with limited options for pitching … some gorgeous views up there though! Great vid I enjoyed watching
Hi, and thankyou for watching! I think I do tend to be a tad picky on where I pitch it though I do appreciate how great the freestanding and semi freestanding tents are. I'm always after the "perfect" ground to pitch on, but this time I opted for sub-optimal ground to get the best spot. It'd have been much easier in a freestander, but I managed! Thanks for the views and comment, very much appreciated! 👍
