It may not be as wonderful on film, but it’s awesome to me. I’d never see these beautiful places without you and others filming and posting your adventures on RUclips! I can’t thank you enough. I hope your feeling better soon!
Nice chilled one AB… looks like you got some nice colour in the sky. Good to see you back out and at it mate. Hopefully feeling better. Take it easy. Craig
Same here, slow down we fall down 🙃 camping fixes everything. Found this one really interesting and it’s given me some pointers to find the not so well trodden modern paths of Kinder. Stunning spot, and so my fascination with Kinder Scout continues! Thanks, more content like this please 😊
thanks sarah & the more you explore kinder i think you'll find it even more fascinating..its not just the baron moorland plateau that it's reputation has..it has a whole lot more to it than that & it's history is just the start ive loved exploring it's inner depths over the year's & i now feel quite at home up there in all conditions..
@@AndrewBeavers thank you for your reply, I do find Kinder quite intimidating mainly because of its vastness and weather/visibility, your right though, the more exploration, the more confident I’ll become when alone camping. I’m getting there but the beauty is that I’m In no rush and trust the process. Some great adventures to come I think, thank you for your ongoing inspiration, it’s far reaching ✨
I did the NC500 a few years ago between Christmas and New year and it was the exact opposite! But some of the best light I have ever seen. Got some cracking photos. Esp round Tongue and Durness.
Glad you enjoyed Scotland, nc500 has been on my list for ages, so one day hopefully :) Good to hear you are well, not that I knew you were ill of course lol Need to get back in the peaks again as well, its been a few weeks for me as well. Thanks for sharing Atb Mark
I use a rode VMPR pro mic great for outdoor video , love the videos Andrew good luck with the van build I did mine in 2018 never looked back , hope to see you around the peaks sometime 👍
Awesome camp up on Kinder, I know the path you mean, encountered recently on a couple of plateau traverses. Also did the narrowest point traverse just to see how long it took from south side to north! There is certainly more to the Plateau than you initially think and there are a fair few rock formations too. It made me smile when you mentioned the right hand fork at the top of Grindsbrook, I had never done it before but finally did it in June. It was a really nice scramble, some decent size boulders and a few waterfall walls high enough for a little climb. Nothing too bad ( at least when fairly dry) to tackle, but definitely a bit more challenge and fun than the standard Grindsbrook finish. It would be great if you do video it, as it is definitely relatively little tackled by the majority as far as I can tell. Certainly no one else on it that day. I noticed that one of the Cloughs immediately east of Jacobs Ladder looks pretty interesting and definitely has a reasonably sized waterfall wall on it and is very steep indeeed on the top section ( not far off Wilderness Gulley steepness by the look of it) Have you ever tried that Clough? It doesn’t seem to be named. I have seen one person going up it in the past so presume it is passable. Great video Andy, looking forward to the next one 👍
Great to see u back on big bad web, u carnt beet a bit of Edale and kinder to clear them cobwebs. Great video as always keep safe Great to see u and misses try your hand at paddle boarding did make me giggle
Great to see you back out mate and glad you’re recovering from the Lurgy. Was wondering where you were lol. Is that not the preamps of the camera 🤷🏼♂️. Sure it’s a simple fix is there nothing on RUclips about it? Thanks for sharing pal and hopefully catch up with you soon. Steve
I didn't hear any crackling but I've been having the same issues on one of my rode video micro. Maybe check your cable? I have a Rode video mic go 2 on my A6400 and it is a fantastic mic. It really is excellent if you do decide to upgrade it will be worth a look. Looking forward to seeing the van if you introduce it to the channel. Loved the video, hopefully you'll feel better soon. Take her handy 👍
Going up a mountain this evening, this is just the motivational video needed before our trek, glad you're better Andy.. Always a pleasure to watch, much appreciated 👍👍
Good to see you back out mate 👍 Can't underestimate the healing powers of been out in nature. Good for the body , mind and soul. Pressing the reset button 🙏 Nice location😉 🤫
Cracking video, I'd like to hear you talk about the history of the places you go. I think about the people that built those old walls, what a hard life it must be.
Thx for another great video and a fantastic landscape. Looking to get my hands on a Durston tent seems to be the almost perfect one as my Helm compact is a little on the heavy side, but solid as hell in the winds. regarding the sound i say it's perfect in the headphones.
Hi Andy. Great to see you back out mate, it sounds like you had a blast in Scotland. Thanks for sharing your evenings adventure with us as always. All the best Dave
Cracking video Andy. Yes agree great place to explore. I camped up on seal stones couple of weeks back in my durstan 2 (roomy) and located a track on way back which led straight to the top of ford near Grindsbrook great little track. Even though i sometimes go to the same place I always find something new like a track or view. Really enjoyed the video hope your man flu gets better soon 😂
Great vid and great explanation of alternative routes up. Just found out the other week about different sunsets Civil and naughticle. Not sure I fully understand it but may explain the differences you experienced at higher elevation. Please keep vids comming, they are great
That reminded me of a wedding I attended in Glasgow 2010 Andy. We left a pub at midnight to get a kebab and it was still pretty light. I thought someone had spiked my drinks 😂. ATB Jiffy 👍🏻
Andy, any mic will pick up the wind noise even with a "dead cat" on it, you need to separate the audio out of the video and process it in another program with filters, then put it back in the edit once processed, hope this helps?
Hi, In regards to mics. I have reviewed a few Rode mics in my channel but you might just need a decent rycote deadcat. Failing that close mic-ing with a Lav mic makes for a smaller more protected option. The Boya mic sounds fine out of the wind.
Just popped up while I was watching about Sarek. Be good to see some of those alternative routes up, I'm guilty of usng the same ones. Kev'd kill thi for givin that one away 😂 Good to see you back out pal 👍
Great video pal 👌🏼 did the same myself Friday night. Straight up nice chilled camp couple beers n food then straight down in morning 👍 clear the head up. Unfortunately I found a big bag of rubbish hidden in the rocks so had to cart that back down into Edale for the lazy bastards who left it 😂 didn’t let it spoil my peace tho. Glad ya feeling better 👍 looking forward to the next en ⛺️
all too common up there in some spots unfortunately bits of rubbish strewn about etc boils my p***....never understand the logic behind it..they carry it up which is the harder part then dont take it back..
@@AndrewBeavers 100% some people don’t deserve to use the beautiful outdoors when they can’t treat it with the respect it deserves. Keep up the great work pal 👍

Great to see you back out, great video Andy, typical English summer.
Looks like you had a really good time in the beautiful outdoor.
Andy it’s really nice to know that I’m not the only one who finds things like that extremely interesting. The history of our ancestors is beautiful
im fascinated with it tbh i love reading about it & exploring old places & routes.
Great trip - thanks for sharing.
Ger 'um gobbed! Brilliant. 👌 Great vid from a great place Andy.
Great video as always. It was nice to meet you and say hello as you set off. Glad you had a good camp.

Good watch as always pal mic sounded ok to me in the wind you must just be after a new gadget lol
Got to agree with your thoughts on Scotland and Skye. At John O'Groats camping, it had a sunset all night.
Loved this. Thank you.
Loved that video mate. My favourite view in the Peak District at the top of Grindsbrook.
