I wonder if you chose a size to fit your bust. I’m finding that exasperates my gaping neck. I’m going to keep that inverted pleat in mind for future garments. I love that fabric!
Love your saved top with your pants. You're right; the colors are perfect. The inverted pleat looks great too. I'd try measuring the pattern against your top to figure out what you did when you originally cut your dress out. You should be able to measure the neckline of your top and add in the amount of your pleat. The top is so cute, it'd be great to recreate it. That pleat is a great alternative to darts and is so stylish. I don't think you were doing FBAs back then. I'm thinking you may have cut a larger size than you are to get the room you needed through the bust. This would be a great fix for those ladies that enlarged bodices to accommodate the bust line only to have the same problem you did. I've seen several RUclipsrs sewing up dresses with the same problem. So, so cute.
Hi Joann! Yes, I'm going to try measuring the pattern against my top to try and recreate the pattern so that I can make the top again. I really appreciate your comments!
Oh. Miss Carol! You weren't kidding . . . your top is so dang cute! Love it with the trousers. Btw, please accept my apology for calling you Miss Polly all this time. I didn't realize your name is Carol. Again, your top is too cute, love.
Thanks Lorraine! No worries calling me Polly; it's what my husband calls me, hence the name of my channel. So feel free to call me Polly or Carol (but you don't have to call me Johnson - hehe)

It turned out really cute!!!
Thank you! I was surprised how well it turned out.
Looks fabulous! The pleat idea was genius and the finished product is perfect. ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi Carol! Great video ending 👏👏👏👏. Your floral top is perfect with the pants 🙌🏻🙌🏻.
Oh thank you, Karen!
You’re right, your new remade top is definitely a winner. And it goes so well with the trousers. 👍👍. Love your hair curly❤️
Thanks Gloria. It's too hot to turn on the blow dryer in the morning, so curly it is until the temperature drops below 92 degrees 🤣🤣🤣
This type of save is super motivating. Looks great!
Thanks, Kim.

I love your wearable muslins. That pink wool is going to look live with your cami. And I love that green!
Oh thank you! I appreciate you're positive support!
Love the top with the pleat
Thank you!
What a great save! Love the top with the pants. Oh and what a way to tease us!! 🤣
Thanks Izzy! I was really surprised how nice the top turned out. I thought it would be just ok, but I really like it!
Nice save! Perfect outfit!
I think so too, Emily! I was quite surprised but pleased.
Very nice!
Thank you, Andrea!! 😊 💐
Great video !! Love the ending ❤
Glad you liked it, Renee!! 😃
Your hair is so pretty!
Thanks, Annie. It's so hot these days I'm just letting it dry naturally rather than using the blow dryer!
