What started as a live stream at Moscow’s Mutabor on 3rd May 2020, has morphed into the first instalment of a new digital compilation series on трип: Hot Steel.
The concept is simple: trip head Nina Kraviz announces the stream date and sends out a call to artists for their unreleased work to [e-mail], all genres are welcome. After the stream takes place, the favourite tracks are signed and a few weeks later Hot Steel is released.
To kick off the series, Hot Steel features newcomers, fresh talent and already established artists from all over the world: from New Zealand to Spain, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland to the US and Canada, but also Russia, France, the Netherlands and Georgia.
Hot Steel will be released on 19th June to join Bandcamp in their commitment on that day and give 100% of the sales from the compilation to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
