    Gojo only has one cursed technique. Limitless just has mutliple ways it can be used. At base neutral (infinity barrier) and blue (the ability to pull things). Red is just blue but with reversed cursed energy(positive energy) instead of regular cursed energy, so instead of pulling it pushes. Purple is just blye and red at the same time.

    Another thing that supports Sukuna potentially having poison is Yuji having poison resistance in the fight against the two cursed wombs. The one where the iconic line “if it’s just pain, Yuji Itadori won’t stop” came from.

    Damn two minutes in and already two corrections:
    -All of Gojos techniques fall under limitless. Blue, red, and purple are just different forms of the same thing. The 6 eyes isn’t a technique, it’s more of a super OP divine feature. Hence why he can’t just turn it off.
    - Sukuna didn’t reveal his technique because in universe you get a power increase by doing so. Clever writing by Gege honestly.
    Edit: 5 and a half minutes and another relatively minor inaccuracy,
    - Dismantle, from what I understand, is the basic attack that does damage. It can attack things with cursed energy. Cleave is just better because it adjusts itself (or can be adjusted) to an opponents durability and cursed energy level.

    I mean Yuta and Kenjaku have multiple cursed techniques, Gojo only has one his application of it gives him versatility. While consumption is definitely a fitting technique for Sukuna I think it might be understanding. Cleave and dismantle maybe serve as appliances of him taking apart someone's technique so he can fully utilize his cursed energy to beat them at their own game. "Black Square" being opened might not even relate directly to his curse technique. It may be something similar to Domain amplification.
    Because what stands out to me is when Sukuna is fighting Jogo and he pulls out the fire, the expression that Sukuna gives to jogos own confusion is basically being shocked. With him stating something along the lines of 'That's right. I thought you would know about this' so for some reason Sukuna half expected Jogo to know what he was doing.
    So perhaps whatever he did was actually common back in the past. Perhaps a lost art that is shunned by jujutsu high and been long since forgotten to time. The other thought may be he might just have expected Jogo to know his technique because Jogo is working with Kenjaku, but that thought falls apart because the next line is 'I suppose a cursed spirit wouldnt'. Which leads me to think of techniques likes Domain amplification, The disaster curses had to be taught that technique because they never considered something like that existing.
    It is fully possible "black Square" falls into this territory as well. Perhaps it being fire is directly related to Sukuna, and that each person who uses the technique gets different results based on their soul or something, or what i think is more likely its a technique that has a fully pliable nature.

    His domain is malevolent shrine, shrines are place of worship but inside the shrine are mouths and a bunch of skeletons(presumably eaten people). Wouldnt this mean Malevolent Shrine is a place worshipping consumption? Cutting and dismantling things sounds normal if you’re going to eat something. Supposedly Sukuna in real life was a cannibal, so I think it’s definitely consumption and maybe being a vessel for multiple techniques. It’s also super interesting as we keep finding out more about Yuji’s growth with his technique and powers, that Yuji states “to kill him, I’ll eat anything”. I dont think thats a coincidence

    I think instead of being the true disaster curse, he's just an upgraded version, like how hanami is the fear of nature, jogo is the fear of fire, etc. Sukuna is simply fear of death. Moreover, jogo has every ability to eliminate someone using anything fire based, hanami has every ability to defeat someone with nature, sukuna has the ability to eliminate someone using any means of death. Cutting, fire, poison, blunt force trauma, decapitation, falling, plague, etc.

    im still gonna go with the fact its a kitchen, cutting, fire and poison all can relate back to the kitchen and sukuna being a cannibal would make sense that his curse technique would manifest as a way to prep his food. as for the poisoning aspect, it simple goes to the fact that there are a lot of deadly ingredients in the world. food poisoning is also a thing and people usually poisons food to kill someone. but again that is just my guess. also one of the anime translations for his domain is malevolent kitchen (but that might just be a miss translation but could also be a hint)

    I think that everybody is thinking about cursed techniques in the wrong way. Cursed techniques are probably somehow tied to the soul and because the soul and your body are also linked there might be a way to add a technique by altering (tattooing) your body. I also highly agree with the one where sukuna has a CT or cursed tool in his tattoos but i think he seals them and not eats them. I think that the black boxes arent individual techniques but all one which is the fire arrow. Because, if you look closley the shapes that the tattoos on his chest and shoulders make is sort of a bow like shape and the one on his forehead is the spear he uses and the slash on his nose is the dagger weapon he used in the previous chapters. And in the heian era those two tattoos were not there but now that he doesnt have those weapons they are. But when he summons the weapons or the CT the mark doesn’t disappear but rather “opens”. And I do think that there is a drawback to opening these marks to get CT or weapons because he used it three times in the show, to get the fire arrow against jogo, a second time using it against mahoraga and to get the dagger.

    What if Sukana doesn't have an Innate Technique and is using an advanced application/technique reversal of barrier techniques to split his enemies in half? Dismantle is a "normal" barrier and Cleave is a barrier imbued with cursed energy. His Domain Expansion doesn't use a barrier because thats what hes using to attack with. He makes fire by turning the air into plasma through the cavitations created by splitting the air itself. He doesn't explain his technique because its something someone with enough cursed energy could also do.

    Honestly, even as a manga reader, I wasn’t even thinking about that finger consumption panel. Granted I read that chapter over a year ago, I will say that I salute you for that theory. That’s one that I actually haven’t seen, even after watching multiple JJK RUclipsrs have theories about Sukuna. It will all somehow be connected to his “black box” ability/technique. It’s most likely a reference to Gege’s previous story where the MC has a box full of weapons, so it’s somewhat possible that Sukuna is able to use the abilities of those whose souls he has touched, at the very least, cursed spirits or elemental cursed techniques, as other CT’s evolve from some base ones. Which would also somewhat explain why Kenjaku didn’t see the hype behind Yuta, or it could be that sense Kenjaku knows Yuta’s CT and Yuta as a fighter, he already has a plan of countering him

    Crunchyroll just changed the name from “Malevolent Kitchen” back to “Malevolent Shrine” 1 day later.
    Was this a purposefully hidden way the Animators and Editors proved that they don’t get enough time to properly review the episodes before releasing?

    I think another reason people think Sukuna has poison powers is because... Kugisaki calls him "the king of curses and deadly poisons". And Sukuna being within Yuji is the explanation for why Yuji is immune to poison.

    • @lildeathwish6055

      Yuji is also immune because of him being a cursed womb/death painting. The others had innate blood techniques and/or poison

  • @Funaks89
    @Funaks89 10 месяцев назад +1

    I think you just didn’t interpret anything correctly, he didn’t reveal his technique cause it’ll strengthen it hence in the anime he says, “I won’t do something petty and reveal my technique”. In the Manga he just says he won’t cheat and reveal my technique. He also fought Kashimo not Hakari. He was able to use fire or Jogos technique because he knows how to “copy” after seeing how it works. He explains this in the Manga when he’s fighting Gojo. Of course there are limits but he even used a rendition of Blood manipulation with water around them because he saw it once and understood the basics of how the curse technique works. The limits might just be he can’t copy an innate ability like six eyes and something like Limitless as it takes a more complicated approach to master.

  • @nameisdan6877
    @nameisdan6877 10 месяцев назад +2

    My theory is that instead of sukuna gaining power as a cursed spirit from the fear of natural disasters/calamities, he get his strength or his inherent infamy from being the embodiment of war or violence. I think between the ability to manipulate fire (the most destructive element) with a distinct mastery over it, a mastery over numerous weapons, and just having his usual go to technique in fights being basic slashing attacks, he's essentially the god of war in JJK, not limited to being able to cut through or destroy space and time itself, as seen in the fight with Gojo.

  • @ericcire5766
    @ericcire5766 10 месяцев назад +1

    What if his technique is reflect. Or copy. In the anime when fighting Jogo, Jogo sorrounds the room with Lava and Sukuna has a manazone/ Gojo like barrier around him where lava seems to be pushed away. It could be Sukuna using cursed energy to push lava away, but and it kinda makes sense because he wouldnt use his cursed technique for someone so small. However, it may just be his ability

    one theory I have is that sukunas ability is his emotions manifesting into an ability. cleave and dismantle being his separation from the world and humanity, fire being hate and rage ect. this would fit the theme of curse energy well in the sense that your emotions both positive and negative give you a power both through reverse curse technique and regular curse technique. the open could be him letting his emotion flow out and manifesting. that would make sense because he told kashimo that he was an unwanted child so from the start he could have been emotionally scarred and forced himself to never display his emotions or maybe even seal them off. love being an emotion he hates and has no use for because of the fact that he had to fight to survive and love never having a place in his life to make him feel welcome to be there.

  • @MonoSDXC
    @MonoSDXC 6 месяцев назад

    My theory is that Sukuna's CT is the Black Box itself, but with limitations placed upon it via binding vows,
    so that the main things that he actually uses it for are strengthened in exchange for the loss of functionality.
    The "Black Box" as a CT would be the ability to manipulate CE to have the properties that he chooses.
    For eg. He could manipulate the shape of CE to form a blade (similar to what you said at 5:48) and reinforce it by increasing it's density.
    Dismantle is essentially the same thing as cleave fundamentally,
    but it being weaker may be caused by yet another binding vow,
    with this binding vow potentially strengthening Cleave even more.
    As for the flame arrow, that's pretty self explanatory.
    By manipulating the properties of cursed energy, he can turn it into fire and further manipulate it's shape,
    after that he can propel it forward with whatever amount of speed and force that he chooses to do so with.
    The "loss of functionality" that I referred to before would be that maybe he can only do these three things with the Black Box.
    The Black Box CT would allow him to do *A LOT,* therefore, a lot would be lost via this binding vow,
    and because of how binding vows work, the more you lose, the more you gain.
    He may potentially be able to do more things with this (hypothetical) CT, but this all still remains applicable either way.
    There's also a chance that his CT is the Black Box without any limitations, and that he's just manually restricting himself for...
    Entertainment(?), but I think that that probably isn't the case.
    Also, on top of the increased strength for the things that he uses the Black Box for,
    him being able to simply use them the same way that one can use CTs (via an incantation) could also be thanks to this binding vow.

  • @Kidna
    @Kidna 10 месяцев назад +1

    The possibility of him being a cursed cook was heavily hinted at in one of his memories. The "cooking" theory is the most plausible: Sukuna cannot break down techniques. If that was the case, no one could have been able to even scratch him, not even Gojo. Mahito could manipulate souls, that's why he was so dangerous. That's also why he needed Mahoraga so much in his fight against Gojo: he needed to figure a way to see beyond his own limitations. Gojo has only his own mind as a limit since anything technique he decides to implement, he will instantly succeeds at. That is basically an interpretation of the concept of "infinity"? Infinite potential! Using reverse cursed energy to heal his brain, thus recovering curse energy? "infinite" curse energy! Sukuna tapped into that idea through Mahoraga's adapation that allowed him to find a technique he could instantly master AND would give him a counter against "infinity". That's how his new technique became basically an in(de)finite slash.
    Sukuna is an unstoppable force that has not yet met an unstoppable wall.

    Watching this video triggered a thought. In every Sakuna kill where he killed somebody he respected there was this one-on-one spiritual send off from him to them. Why didn't this happen with Gojo? Im not coping just making an observation. When Gojo died he saw his friends, he didn't see Sakuna, Instead Sakina said all he had to say in this world. This makes me think that somehow Gojo will have some type of return or tie into the ultimate resolution of this story.

    My take is that Sukuna's ability might not be Cleave/Dismantle at all. Against Good he exhibited the ability to learn traits and techniques through muscle memory. Maybe, by learning Jogo's technique allowed him to use it as well by being close to the core of cursed energy.

    I like the theory that Sukuna is the embodiment ( or definitely an inspiration) of Shiva of the hindu trinity. This can also tie into Sukuna being the true calamity curse. Shiva has a third eye (his trident carries it and in one of the chapter covers Sukuna holds a trident). It can turn anything into ash, even other gods, and only needs to open it like how sukuna turned jogo into ash. Often depicted with 8 arms which could be the buddhist wheel for Mahoraga and Girish which is special sword with unique properties like the one in Mahoraga's wrist. Also the two share similar bodies when sukuna is in his true form. There's also the idea that Tengen and Angel are Brahma and Vishnu respectively and Sukuna makes the third since in the later chapters it was revealed that they all knew each other.

    Here is something to think about. What if Sukana’s is the cursed spirit of humanity’s fear of death itself and going to the afterlife and entering hell. His fire is stronger because it is Hell Fire which burns stronger then regular fire like Amataratsu. And Fuga is open for open the gate way to hell fire. And I’m sure there is a fear of being in hell where people get cleve or dismantled. 🤔

    Curse application: curse reinforcement.
    Also Sukuna uses curse tools but since he didn't want to reveal how he did it("revealing ones hand" amps up you technique) , it implies a curse technique. He used a cursed tool to become an resistant and use lightning techniques

    Or maybe the real ability is a little bit of everything.
    1. Sukuna is not a curse spirit (or maybe just not when he is in a vessel) since positive curse energy did not kill him in 1 hit and he can use reverse curse technique (granted, he was in Yuji at that time, but still). So he is likely something very different from a curse spirit. He might even be, or at least is close to becoming, something divine.
    2. His ability might not be cooking specifically, but could just be related to food, and this would technically give all manners of control over the elements (such as growing food which involves earth and plant, or cooking, which involves not just fire but water as well). Add to that, he has an obsession with food - his association with Uraume is due to food with Uraume being his personal chef plus scenes here and there are peppered with him eating.
    3. If his powers are indeed related to food, it could also have famine under its belt (or famine is the RCT version of his technique), and famine can be caused by all manners of natural disasters, including toxic or rot and illness. After all, if plants get burnt or sickened, or if there is drought or flooding, they die and we loss crops.
