Minor correction: Gojo and Sukuna refreshed their burnt out CT using cursed energy to damage the right prefrontal cortex after expanding their domain and THEN using RCT to heal that part of their brain. So yeah, Gojo purposefully gave himself brain damage 5 times to accomplish this domain feat.
This is a very important distinction IMO. The analogy of the engine is perfect in a lot of ways. The part of the brain that allows for domain expansion isn't injured. Its burnt out or over heated and needs time to recover. What Sukuna and Gojo were doing is essentially destroying the "engine" and rebuilding it even though their understanding of that "engine" was on a "black box" level. This means that they did not have a deep enough level of understanding of the structure of that "engine" and could never rebuild it perfectly each time. So every time Gojo disassembled and reassembled that part of his brain it ran the risk of little imperfections piling up until it became too risky to keep doing the domain expansion.
@@Lil_McBigsI wouldn't Totally agree. Yuta did say it best with the engine analogy. But I use this: They over clocked their processors. You can only do that for a certain amount of time before the whole thing breaks down entirely. You have to let it cooldown before you can red line it again. Neither Gojo nor Sukuna let it cool down. They just cranked the fans on high in an attempt to compensate. Which DOES work, for a while. But the board and the processor are still under Intense stress that they just simply aren't built for. They didn't break the rules, they are just so far above everyone else that nobody knew these things could be done. It's like benching 225lbs for the first time and thinking you're finally strong, and then some big black dude sitting down and benching 500lbs for reps
Go ahead, name some rules that were "broken". Rules weren't broken, they just knew more about the rules. It would be like you calling a professional fighting game player a cheater bc he knows about frame data and you don't
Well, to his credit, he did say, verbatim, "will Kenjaku or Sukuna do something to make the fight go longer or cause Gojo to lose? Probably." I'd say it aged like it was supposed to, given that the caveat was correct.
I can't be the only one that thinks they're going to reveal some way that Gojo loses or dies in the end, right. Hearing "yes, he won" just makes me doubt it all the more.
ofc he will try to save megumi and then kenjaku and sukunua will take over his body and suddenly everybody has to fight against a gojo version of sukuna/kenjaku. I would even say that both sukuna and kenjaku always planned to find a six eye gojo clan member to become as strong as possible

My guy. The fight is done. Sukuna was never going to die in this fight. Gojo has his last finger and you can't truly kill him unless all 20 fingers are incarnated in a vessel. Yuji will probably end up using his souls swap ability to evict Sukuna. That's when we'll get the Yuji vs Sukuna fight.
This was by far one of the BEST fights ever illustrated in the history of Manga. The sheer genius of in lore concepts being used in intuitive ways by both parties..then those concepts being reacted to in verse by the onlookers, the same way the readers did… CHEF FKIN KISS! I honestly think about this fight all day. I haven’t felt this way since SSJ2 Goku fought Majin Vageta…
With Maharaja being destroyed you'd expect it's powers would be combined with the other shadows. So all the remaining shadows could be immune to limitless.
Honestly I feel like maharaja might be an exception to this due to his adaptation abilities I could be wrong though, it may also make the adaptation take much longer which versus someone like gojo even worse. Also he has lost 5 out of the 10 shadows if I remember correctly
There’s a misunderstanding on 9:08. In a domain battle, the primary determination in a domain clash is the person’s refinement of their domain, while strength and other factors are consider secondary. What it means is that even if a person was weaker than the other, if that person has a much refined domain than the other, than that person would win the domain clash despite being weaker. This fact is confirmed by many domain explanation videos and quote from Jojo himself when he was explaining domain to Yuji.
This is the kind of fight I wanted out of Naruto when they talked about “Kage level combat”. The highest level of already established techniques and tactics.
My only gripe is that these 2 didn't actually break any rules within JJK they just had a better understand of the rules and applied them in theorized ways in which they were actually successful
How is it a bad thing to have a well written system that the characters don’t break for the sake of a cool fight? If you start breaking rules then that generally means your power system is badly written
Loved this fight, even though Sukuna did take over Megumi’s body with his own power- this showed that with his one power he wouldn’t have pushed Gojo as far as he did. Heck, it was a 3v1 fight with Gojo against King of Curses, OP Majoraga and a somewhat immortal Shinigami mix with Gojo wiping the floor against all 3. Now, Sukuna might have a trump card but wow was Sukuna humbled heavily agajnt GoJoat (Gojo and Goat lol)!!!! Gojo did spend an innumerable about of time in a pocket dimension of a probably hellish realm- I think a number of people thought he’d come back buffed as hell after all that time training. This fight animated will be epic, but I don’t think this fight is really over.
Definitely not over even tho Goatjo slammed sukuna, sukuna is going to get his true four armed form plus he’s in megumi, who has the ten shadows which is the technique that beat the last six eyes infinity user. Especially how gojo has stated that he can’t really sense poison attacks with infinity, (sukuna isn’t really the king of poisons techniques he himself is a poison.) which that plus ten shadows could be wraps in a upcoming chapter. A lot of this is info I’ve scattered found so I may be wrong or inconsistent but this is what I believe is the lead up to gojo losing to sukuna, and sukuna entering gojos body…😬
I have a feeling of whats going to happen. It seems Sukuna has been adopting the 10s techniques for himself. With him acquiring the powers instead of having them as Shikigami. What i mean by this is with the 10 shadows dying, instead of the power being passed onto to another shikigami, its passed onto him. Hes able to use it. Hence why he was able to use max elephant water and make a "piercing blood" without summoning the max elephant shikigami. This could also be the reason why HE was able to adopt the mahoraga wheel on himself beacuse hes slowly applying the 10s powers onto himself with his final goal being him having all the powers of the 10s AND mahoraga adaptability. We also see mahoraga use cleave which is HIS technique which is suspicious. Almost as if sukuna is able to exchange or swap techniques. With all the shikigami dead including mahoraga sukuna may adopt ALL their powers making him almost invincible which is what could be happening right now with mahoraga presumably dead via purple.
All this talk about 3 v 1 😂😂...that's literally how 10 shadows is supposed to be used its a numbers type CT that's like saying Kenjaku and yuki fight was a 50 v 1 cause Kenjaku uses cursed spirit manipulation stop the Gojo glazing
@@mahugilumire5387 there’s a difference between a Deer that stands near you constantly healing, an owl flying around and whatever else the fusion has in itself- and a fusion of most of the shadows plus Mahoraga and Sukuna. If Kenjaku had summoned 100 cursed spirits, then it would have been a 101v1(somewhat 2).
"No bitches no family no money" lmao I actually laughed out with that good video explaining the fight. I read it over and over and definitely missed some things you pointed out. Especially when they were doing the whole dueling domains thing. Goddamn that was confusing but entertaining.
One minor mistake at the beginning was the need for a chant for Hollow Purple. HP doesn't need a chant to function, the same way Red and Blue don't, but by adding the chant it increases the output of purple. Jujutsu sorcery is addition by subtraction, and by adding in a chant(subtracting the ability to quickly and quietly use a technique) you gain increased output. Most likely Utahime's ability works the same way, where she doesn't NEED to do the dance, but its so much more worth it for her to use it in a supporting role

@@artypyrec4186 Maybe because Sakuna has to observe abilities in use and then effectively reverse engineers said ability. I think its tied to whatever ability allows him to use the flame arrow. People call it Black Box but its obviously censor bar because the mangaka doesnt want to give away what it actually is yet. Lots of mangaka will censor things in different ways. I dont think Cleave/Dismantle are his technique. Im betting his actual technique is the Black Box which allows him to Observe, recreate, and store said techniques for later use depending on how complex they are. Some might be impossible for him to comprehend like Gojo's Infinity because (if im not mistaken) it requires the Six Eyes.
@@omegacloud222 The six eyes aren't required for limitless (Anyone in gojo's family can technically use it), it just lets him basically use his CE with 100% control which is kind of needed to literally say fuck you to physics to such a degree that people just nope the fuck out of situations involving you. There is a pretty good theory about the tattoos on Sukuna being stored cursed tools or techniques and the "Open" brings them out. The picture we have of Sukuna, with his four arms, holding a trident and a knife/bell thing in his hands is thought to represent the tattoos on his forehead and nose, as he does not have these on his face when he has them out. These two items also represents some important divine items in hinduism (the trident being the trishula). The tattoo on his forehead being the trident. This could also explain his "Black box" that brings out the fire arrow. As the black box is actually just a black square tattoo on his body (which Sukuna is shown to have on his shoulder area - But we could not see this when he used the arrow, because of his clothes. So the clothes was able to hide that this "open" made one of these tattoos disappear while being used. If this is true, it is possible Sukuna has a cursed tool or technique stored that just straight up heals him and perhaps another that can actually bypass Infinity. This could also be a reason for why we have Gojo seemingly winning with his cursed energy now restored, it is to have Sukuna do a twist and then make that win be more impactful with his revealed technique, by showing that this new trump can beat Gojo, even when he is not drained from cursed energy. It could also explain that his title as "King of Curses" actually might have come from him having a vast mastery of different techniques and cursed tools. It would weird that Sukuna made such a legend of himself in the Heian Era by only using Cleave/dismantle and his Shrine. This is just a theory of what could happen, but I think there are good arguments for it being possible.
I know deep in my heart that the reason that Gojo was decisively declared the winner is because something terrible is about to happen. This was just to show that Gojo can win against Sukuna, but he's going to get taken out in some schemey bullshit way.
I mostly appreciate the fact that it was a pure 1 on 1. Jjk justifiably known as jumpjutsu kaisen, involves multiple many vs 1 fights. Threats are treated as actual threats and therefore must be neutralized as quickly as possible. But in a fight with two people proclaimed as the strongest, having it be a 1 v 1 with the title on the line was nice. It helps to quell any outcries of outward intereference which as kashimo put it, would be lame.
Gojo vs sukuna is the prime example of a level no one else can reach in the past and in the present, these two are the real anomalies among anomalies the rules of jutsu don’t apply to them. Not just because the brute force their ways through everything but because gojo and sukuna are also geniuses that could learn extremely insane techniques only after seeing them once. I don’t think the will ever be sorcerers on their level, I think kenjaku is trying to get to that level but he needs to do something and that’s why I think kenjaku telling choso he wants to merge tengen with everyone is a lie. He probably wants to merge himslef with Tengen as well and become a monster that transcends all because kenjaku and sukuna have two different goals the are just helping each other for the time being as Kenny stated in shibuya sukuna is nothing more than a tool to use in case prison realm doesn’t work after gojos death kenjaku doesn’t need sukuna anymore.
the best way to describe red i can think of is pretty much just the opposite of blue. where blue creates negative space for positive space to go into, thus creating a well that pulls everything towards the center of it, red does the opposite, inputting positive space into the world, effectively doing the same as spawning two objects inside one another, except the space goes out just as fast as blue would crush things together, so it just kind of explodes that positive distance outwards.
Between this and the Cluelesss Gambler Fight, Gege must be speaking to Togashi and Araki on fights that have you looking up things like Mobius Strip, etc. Great work on breakdown the fight!
I feel like the absolute worst thing that could come out of all of this would be the death of either gojo, or sukuna. The reason I say or is because with everything we know about kenjaku, not only does he get access to the curse technique and cursed energy reserves of the body he’s inhabiting, but he can also take a select number of past cursed techniques from past bodies that he’s inhabited with him to future bodies. We don’t understand the mechanisms of kenjaku’s technique in terms of conditions that allow him to body swap, or how long it takes for him to do so, but if he is able to take the body of gojo, or sukuna, he would then have the techniques of either of the strongest sorcerers in history, along with access to cursed spirit manipulation, the anti grav technique, and whatever else that dirty brain kun has in store for us. Assuming gojo did actually win, and kenjaku doesn’t try and pull the sukuna switch, he should also have the capacity to use reversed curse technique on sukuna, and in the event that gojo does end up losing, I’d assume there’s no chance on gods green earth kenjaku is passing up the chance to take his body. Also the fact that we know he’s a body swapper, yet we haven’t actually seen him do so once in the series, and he’s a main antagonist and all, it would shock me if we don’t see him take someone else’s body before the series ends.
NICK!! I fell asleep during this video 5 times trying to at least somewhat understand it. But that's not on you, the concept is so difficult and complex. When I listened while intentionally staying conscious, it made complete sense. This is genuinely one of my favorite videos of yours because it perfectly encapsulates why you have become such an important figure in the anime community. The concepts are getting more elaborate, and when the world needed a hero, we got you homie
Don't ask me why I led the comment with your name fully capitalized in exclamation points. It was the immediate response I had when you told me to go to the comment section idk I was enthused
Nice analysis mate! Really like it. I have doubt tho. In 12:13 you say cleace and dismantle go through infinity cause its a guaranteed hit within the domain. If that's true, how come Jōgo couldn't hit Gojô when he used domain expansion?
This video was almost perfect. The only thing worth mentioning, is that Agito was also made from a Shikigami called "Mourn Tiger". Gojo confirmed that too.
21:37 ok so how this actually worked, you have to go back to the details about sukuna and gojo's domain expansion. Gojo's sure hit attack covered (hit) everything inside the barrier, sukuna's covered everything except himself. Megumi soul is still in the domain expansion and across all 5 domain expansion, megumi was getting hit by gojo's surehit, since sukuna didnt protect megumi from gojo's surehit and gojo's surehit hits everything inside his domain. Sukuna put the darmachraka on megumi's soul so he can bare the burden of adaptation so mahoraga can be summon already adapted and protected from gojo's domain.
I know what you have written here is true, but this is the most bullshit thing that Gege wrote in this fight. How can UV attack the soul, where was it ever established? How can Sukuna both protect his own soul and not protect the soul of the body that he inhabits? Is it not that the soul is the body and the body is the soul? How can Sukuna transfer the damage from the brain attacking type of technique to the soul of the body that he inhabits in hopes of getting Mahoraga adapted to it, in which he succeeds but still the damage from UV backfires. How did he summon Mahoraga when he was hit by UV, how is it that when Mahito attacks the soul of Yuji, he touched both souls of Yuji and Sukuna, but Gojo's seemingly brain/soul attacking domain attacks only one soul at a time? A did not like this part of the fight. A lot of inconcistent stuff which has led to some questionable deus ex machinas for Gege to write.
@@WearyExile_yea the UV part is what I really dislike in this fight. It's such an asspull. How did the sure hit only target megumis soul when its said that it hits everything. Like did sukuna somehow make it so his soul is covered by his domain but not megumis? like how tf does that even work, they are within the same vessel, the same location. And assuming megumis soul did take the burden. How tf would that even work its not like megumis soul has a seperate brain, the info dump to the brain should still be targetted towards the body. I mean its literally stated when incarnations get into someones body they take their memories too, so its not like they have a seperate brain everytime they switch.
@@WearyExile_ yea tbh is extremely confusing and while writing that comment I even the right explanation just doesn't make sense. Because gojo seems to be aware of souls since shibuya (when be interacted with Geto's soul) ig he can attack them subconsciously like yuji can. And because sukuna didnt protect megumi from gojo's UV, gojo was unconsciously striking megumi with his UV throughout all those domain expansions. Only really way i can explain it. Idk how sukuna put the darmachakra on megumi's soul and idk how sukuna is able to protect his own soul and the megumi's body but not megumi soul

Awesome video (: Side note: at 23:30, Mahoraga wasn’t summoned during this hand to hand fight, he was summoned after red wrapped the building & black flash hit Sukuna. Sorry for the nitpick lol
Gojo and sukuna are true rivals I think the both have errors the individually shine in but still could copy each other regardless, the are on a complete different level and I think this fight had to happen so the could get rid of each other by one possibly dying and one being too injured. Kenjaku will soon make his move and I wouldn’t be shocked if helps kill sukuna while he is weak
TLDR; Rituals are not necessary for casting techniques, but they make your technique stronger the better you are as a sorcerer. Side note on how techniques work, since MC explained it a little incorrectly. Solo Forbidden Area and Hollow Purple do not require a ritual to be cast. However, verbal or semantic casting is not the only way to cast a technique. As explained in the same chapter, a sorcerers skill is determined by how effectively they can cast a technique without actions. Meaning if a sorcerer can cast a their technique by simply saying the name, as opposed to another sorcerer casting theirs by using hand signs, then the first sorcerer is more skilled. However, you can cast a domain or a technique with gestures and symbols as well. We see this in Volume 0 when Gojo sends Panda and Inumaki to JJK high through a circular seal on the ground. So, with that being said, when that happens, suddenly the opposite becomes true. The better you are at casting a technique without using gestures or music or actions, the stronger your technique becomes when you DO use gestures and actions. Which is why Utahime’s technique was so strong in Gojo. Because she turned it into a ritual using gestures, music, and dancing. Which boosted the effectiveness of her technique to 120%. Similarly, Gojo using gestures and a chant, combined with Utahime’s 120% technique, brought his output up to 200%
I think it’s more of ppl knew the power system and now that it’s been broken they feel like this fight makes no sense to them. Just gotta reread the fight all the way thru and just peep that gojo and sukuna are pushin each other to do the impossible which to me isn’t breaking the power system more of finessing in a way nobody thought of and doing it all on the fly and re adjusting to each other adjustments
The most insane feat in my opinion, was Goju using his RCT to RECOVER his Cursed Techniques. HOW!?!?! That's some Ash Ketchum using a counter against a counter type of anime bullshit, but it was *amazing!* And the fact that Sukuna learned how to do this just by *watching Gojo do this,* also blew my mind! But let's face it, Sukuna would have been smoked had Sukuna and Gojo fought at full power without any pre-fight battle tactics. Sukuna took Megumi hostage in the hopes that if he lost, Gojo wouldn't want to kill his basically adopted son. Which also gave Sukuna access to the Ten Shadows technique. Sukuna essentially had an entire page full of pre-game preparation ready to go against Gojo and he still lost while Gojo used most of his own strength and intellect, aside from using his friends in the beginning to give him a 200% buff to purple. And that was only to set the stage, which meant Gojo just walked up to Sukuna, slapped him in the face and told Sukuna that he was the challenger to Gojo's title of "The Strongest."
he didn't recover his cursed techniques. RCT cannot do that, it only heals. What he did was destroy the burnt out part of his brain, then regenerated it with RCT healing, which as a side effect created a bodypart that didn't have its cursed technique burnt out. It's a completely lunatic and reckless way to do it, but perfectly within rules
Why is Nick refering to Sukuna as Fraudkuna if it was Gojo who brought like 3 People and started with an suprise attack in this 'Duel' ? Seems like Gojo is the greater fraud here.
he didnt use 3 people to fight fraudkuna, it was an opening statement as any anime top tier fight would start with somewhat of a test or worthyness from 1 character to the other, just as he said to him right after. "to make things clear, you are the challenger here" but instead your "GOAT" clearly relied on "daddy-raga" to guide him to victory. he required a borrowed/stolen CT to win this fight, Gojo didnt he just used those 3 to make a heavy opening statement. its not like he had his curse energy amplified throughout the whole battle like the way sukuna was relying on the shikigami majority of the fight.
@@not.acronym Well Gojo brought 3 people to up his output and get a sneakattack in. Cheapshot Just before the first round. Well we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions just yet. So long as I don’t see sukuna’s death, I know for sure he’ll make a comeback somehow someway. I want Gojo to win but let’s be real, the story would suck if he does and his death would serve the story a lot better.

With Maharaja being destroyed you'd expect it's powers would be combined with the other shadows. So all the remaining shadows could be immune to limitless.
Nope because the wheel got destroyed
That’s not the power of mahoraga it is the wheel’s power. This means even if all Shikigami were to combine they still need to re-adapt
@@1sosukeaizen1 I think sukuna adapted it !? What you think
this isn't instantaneous... it takes time

Had to pause it at 28:42 because of your list of things Sukuna no longer had. He lost everything and more
For real
This is the kind of fight I wanted out of Naruto when they talked about “Kage level combat”.
The highest level of already established techniques and tactics.
Why don't you like Dragonball with ninja themed clothes?
Hiruzen vs. Orochimaru and Naruto vs. Pain were a lot like this.
Next chapter: “I took this personally”
My only gripe is that these 2 didn't actually break any rules within JJK they just had a better understand of the rules and applied them in theorized ways in which they were actually successful
How is it a bad thing to have a well written system that the characters don’t break for the sake of a cool fight? If you start breaking rules then that generally means your power system is badly written
That’s a bad thing?
That's just excellent writing, how is it a gripe?
Guys I think he meant the video analysis
gripe about his video not the manga the manga is amazing
You’re chatting rubbish my guy
It was a 3v1, not bunnies running around you while a boar charges you. Yes we haven’t seen this from Megumi but 10 shadows can tie with 6eyes/unlimited.
For real. In Gojo vs Sukuna fight/battle.
So you're saying, Kenjaku gave Gojo a training arc? 17:02
I have a feeling of whats going to happen. It seems Sukuna has been adopting the 10s techniques for himself. With him acquiring the powers instead of having them as Shikigami.

It helps to quell any outcries of outward intereference which as kashimo put it, would be lame.

the best way to describe red i can think of is pretty much just the opposite of blue. where blue creates negative space for positive space to go into, thus creating a well that pulls everything towards the center of it, red does the opposite, inputting positive space into the world, effectively doing the same as spawning two objects inside one another, except the space goes out just as fast as blue would crush things together, so it just kind of explodes that positive distance outwards.

Bro this fight is easy to understand. All I have to do is watch 5 chapter breakdowns for each chapter 😅
Then you understand everything 🧠

Sure 😅
This video was almost perfect. The only thing worth mentioning, is that Agito was also made from a Shikigami called "Mourn Tiger". Gojo confirmed that too.
Deer+ nue + and mourn tiger= Agito.
@@WearyExile_sakuna was not able to transfer the brain damage the shared brain fried that was the misjudgement from his part.

And because sukuna didnt protect megumi from gojo's UV, gojo was unconsciously striking megumi with his UV throughout all those domain expansions. Only really way i can explain it.
Similarly, Gojo using gestures and a chant, combined with Utahime’s 120% technique, brought his output up to 200%
Explained amazingly, by an outstanding individual.

The most insane feat in my opinion, was Goju using his RCT to RECOVER his Cursed Techniques. HOW!?!?! That's some Ash Ketchum using a counter against a counter type of anime bullshit, but it was *amazing!*
And the fact that Sukuna learned how to do this just by *watching Gojo do this,* also blew my mind!
It wasn't his whole cursed technique that he was healing just his domain expansion.
he didn't recover his cursed techniques. RCT cannot do that, it only heals. What he did was destroy the burnt out part of his brain, then regenerated it with RCT healing, which as a side effect created a bodypart that didn't have its cursed technique burnt out. It's a completely lunatic and reckless way to do it, but perfectly within rules
@@GiRR007than how was he able to use Red before cooldown
@@itsjustvin7630 Because it was only his domain expansion that needed the cool down not red or blue or infinity.

Sukuna using another persons Body is the most basic thing we knew about him from the very beginning. And yes Sukuna took the 10 shadows for himself but Gojo was just handed most of His power with good genes, not his archivement. So one could argue Suk did more to earn the CT than the off-brand-kakashi ;)
Oh and to be clear I don't particularly Like sukuna. He's one of the less interesting Antagonists in JJK imo. I just think calling him a fraud when Gojo opend by "playing dirty" was strange.
Oh and for the record:
The GOAT is my Boy Aoi To-Do and His 350.000 IQ mental CPU.
@@KeacePeeper you havent been reading manga long enough if you cant grasp a simple concept of testing the worth of an opponent with a mximum output attack as a starter. youre making it seems like he fought with that manner throughout the whole 12 chapters
arguing with you would be pointless still, so yea whatever helps you sleep at night lil bro
@@KeacePeeper and your point of on being born into greatness while one working his way to it is so irrelevant cause essantially its the reason why gojo lost since unlike sukuna he never had a reason to become stronger/hone his abilities since no one was near his level/challenging him as much as the competition was back in sukuna's time forcing him to have to constantly improve it doesnt make him a fraud. he cant do anything about what he was born with so its crazy to say his a fraud cause he got good genes 💀
Great video 🖤
welp that aged poorly in exactly one chapter
As always a splendid description

Nicely explained. You earned my undying loyalty

Even knowing how it ended up the next issue, this video did help me understand things better. It was a confusing fight and I appreciate this.

Well we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions just yet. So long as I don’t see sukuna’s death, I know for sure he’ll make a comeback somehow someway. I want Gojo to win but let’s be real, the story would suck if he does and his death would serve the story a lot better.

I can honestly say that trying to keep up with this anime/manga became annoying & stressful, even the breakdowns are exhausting to the point that people are still wondering if Gojo actually won LMAO & SMFH! 12 chapters & I don't think any of you wanted the battle to end.
Reminder that “Gojo Wins” was said in the conversation between Kusekabe and Yuji
Its a quote from a character, not a statement from a narrator, that is important
