Just recently discovered your channel. I have watched a bunch of your videos about the C64 and Amiga computers and the hardware to adapt them to modern displays and storage devices. I have an Amiga 600 in storage (given to me by a relative long ago). Some day soon, I hope to get it out and get it running.
You guys are a cute couple and beautiful family. May The Lord bless you in your journey of life. Keep up the great content. I like your goofy humor and how you are different from the typical nerdy show-and-tell channels for retro tech.
I was 13 when Star Wars came out, so I am a fully qualified member of the X generation that ogled over the computers, toys and gadgets that came out in the 70's, 80's and 90's. One of the most fun times my family ever had was when Dad unboxed an Atari 2600 on Christmas Eve that same year. For several months the four of us played on it in the evenings instead of watching TV.

It's definitely sad to see the 3DS/WiiU servers go down. For what it's worth, there is a group of fans trying to establish fan servers for the 3DS. Modern Vintage Gamer did a video about it recently.

The All Dogs Go to Heaven line got me, we had to put down one of ours very early Thursday morning as she was suffering from heart failure. She was the third one we have lost in a year and a half.
Our hearts ache for you. So sorry for the loss of your family member. Dogs are literal angels sent to watch over us. 💔

There is good news for the 3DS and Wii U servers though. There is a fan project, called Pretendo, which enables online play through the Pretendo Network. It's still work in progress. They are about 75% completed, so very close in actually making it all work again.

for video game systems that had online services and get shut down. there should be an archive server where you haf access to all game updates and DLCs either as webpage or even on the console itself. retro gamers would welcome this because these days games are useless without updates.

I had an Atari Lynx back in the day, actually the only Atari hardware I've ever owned. And as much as I loved it, at the time I was rather envious of Gameboy owners who could take the bus to school without a diesel generator. OMG 6 AA batteries, and 2 hours if you were lucky (and considerably less if dad just bought _el cheapo_ brand batteries).

Maybe entitled "Lady/Lord Twerk-a-lot and the Tight Pants of Destiny", followed by a sequel called the "Great Ass-Cape" where the hero/heroine has to escape from a dark castle utilising his/her super-powered gluteus maximus to achieve freedom.
These shows are an oasis of tranquillity in a chaotic world. Thank you all.

As always a great show and 37 in and they just keep getting better. I hear a lot about most commodore machines so i will say this if you get a chance would or could you do an video for the C16 as you don't see many of the grey bread bins about these days. The TikTok video made me smile so much as i still do most of the things in the video, well as always keep up the great work a long with the jokes. Keep opening them doors with your butt daily, have a great wekend and take care and will catch you all in the next one.

Please let me know how to set up that C64 Wifi Modem. I bought the same exact modem for our C64C and while I can get it to connect to our wifi on the test connection , it fails after that. I'm sure its a settings thing, can you do a video on it Perifractic? PLEASE?! Begging you here. I want to BBS like the old days! P.S. - Your shirt rocked in this episode. SPECCY LOOOOOOOOOVE!!!
I didn't actually do anything special other than run the program on the disk they supplied and follow the prompts. There were some instructions on their website too. I don't think it would warrant another video as it wouldn't be very interesting for most people beyond what I already showed in blurrovision™. Best of luck! If not reach out to them, they're super helpful and engaged as you could tell.

Hi Peri, filming with your old camcorder is for sure a nice retro-idea. But I would like to ask you kindly if you might think over it again... I guess the stuff you're unboxing deserve a crisp and clear picture to send out into the world. Also for the creatores/donators it would be a nice move, I guess.
I appreciate the feedback. We'll probably keep it that way, but maybe mix in more of the overhead camera views. It's important to me to use the old tech we talk about on the show, and not just call it The Retro Show but then not do anything retro to make it 😅
