I love this guy! His whole family pretty much is in movies and they are all really talented and good kind humble people who just happen to be famous. Come to think of it all the Swedish people I've known personally were really kind people. I don't personally know any of the Scarsgard family but what I have gleaned from interviews they have participated in they are just as humble and nice as the Swedish friends I have known. God bless and stay safe.

I’m sure he’s more famous in Sweden but he’s well known here and I was always intrigued by his accent bc I just couldn’t figure out where he was from... his accent is very mild in movies.

TRT NEWS Lucky Swedes, we Germans usually get triggered really quickly.
Nudity used to be a lot more chill in Scandinavia when I was a kid, but now with the heavy American pop culture influence people are getting a lot more awkward about nudity. It isn't really about prudishness but that American culture sexualize nudity so much that what we used to think as something natural in the 80s has sort of become a bit dirty.
I mean it has actually gotten bad enough that the old generation is complaining about people covering up their kids on the beach and stuff. When I was a kid we ran around naked on the beach or in the yard. It still happens but people cover up a lot more now. You hardly ever see girls topless anymore which was the normal thing in the 80s.
It actually worries me a bit. I see teenagers on the subway and stuff now and they are so noticeably more American acting. It has all happened so fast. In 50 years we will all be American.

I come from México, and we have a conservative culture when it comes to nudity, but you have no idea how much I admire swedes for their laid-back and relaxed attitude tpwards something as natural as our body without clothes on. I ADMIRE that and millons of people around the wprld do too. That is something special and unique about scandinavian culture. DONT LOSE IT

Wambli Padilla I am Norwegian btw, but we are very much like Swedes, at least as seen from a foreigner. The culture in Norway, Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia is changing whether we like it or not. It is impossible to isolate oneself from the huge cultural influences that happen to the much more globalized world where children now get the majority of the entertainment from American sources e.g. RUclips, social media etc means we are all much more connected.
It does concern me a great deal because I do value a lot of things about Scandinavia: humbleness, honesty, natural relation to nature and the body, a willingness to seek compromise, gender equality.
There are plenty of things I don't like about Scandinavia too. I wish we had some of that personal warmness you have in Mexico and much of South America. I've felt really good being around South Americans before. Scandinavians are much more reserved and socially clumsy. We have a South American man at my youngest child's pre-school and he is really beloved by all the children. They all shout his name and want him to come to them ;-) He is a warm and fun personality.
Povel Vieregg Sorry for the mistake. But very well said. Scandinavians strenghts are a relaxed attitude to nudity (instead of freaking out) and a great relationship with nature. Mexicans strenghts are personal and social warmness, among many others. Thank you globalization for letting us know other cultures and learn from their strenghts.
+Povel Vieregg It's funny how Finns don't have a problem with being naked in a sauna, even in a mixed group when it's a group of students or friends and especially a family, but being topless or completely naked at home has never really been a thing. Though most people won't care if they see naked people, unless they are in the middle of a town, at day time...
Also I would be uncomfortable if I had to talk about it in interviews all the time. There is nudity in Finnish movies but it's not really talked about because no one really cares. You would probably sound juvenile.

We Swedes live in a cold climate, so whenever the sun peaks through the cloud we throw away our caps and shirts. "No shoes, no shirt no service" does not apply here.
Can't talk for everyone living here... but I would have no problem stripping down to my underwear and change clothes if I have to, and I have done that bunch of times.
Heavy/fat/big boned people without a shirt during summer is nor a rare sight. Most people in Sweden are not that fat anyways. We can get fat, but not "American fat".
Among men (Europe generally?) we are eager to drop our pants, it's a comfort thing.

I'm Swedish and my parents always used to stroll around nude or partially nude on leisure days. Personally I'm not at all comfortable being nude, I always wear long sleeves and pants even in the middle of summer. But I don't mind other people being nude :3

You said that _he_ was from the East, though. Zlatan Ibrahimovic origins are from Croatia, that is not "the East", it's in Southern Europe, close to Italy. Take a look at a map, and draw a line from Stockholm (where Alexander Skarsgård was born) to Croatia (where Zlatan Ibrahimovic's parents are from) and you will see that Stockholm is as, or more, to the East than Croatia is. If you had just said "Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn't as handsome as Alexander Skarsgård" and "Alexanders origins are from the North while Zlatans are from the South.", I would totally agreed with you though.

I´m swede and it´s the same in our home. Me, daughter and husband have no problem with nudity. BUT, not when we have guests. We don´t go around all day naked, but we don´t lock the door to the bathroom and have no problem walking nude from bathroom to bedroom for an example.
