Aw, that'slovely, thank you Debbie 😊 You'll be delighted to hear my next stitch with me will be a Joan Elliott; I'll be working on The Winter's Gift 🪡😄
I hope your birthday was lovely! I read something when I was in my 30's - a book be an older woman and she said: When I was 30 I thought 50 was really old. Now I'm 48 and 50's looking younger by the minute! I turned 70 this year, and 50 looks really good! Happy stitching!
Oh that's so very true! Along with 'you are only as old as you feel'...a bit trite but some truth to it. My parents are both 73 and still running marathons and even more so it just goes to show. I did have a delightful birthday, thank you 😄
I loved this video Kat, i think you got the technical bit just right as i could see everything clearly. It was amazingly relaxing just watching you stitch! But i got out my Pako Victorian House & stitched along in the garden eventually. I mostly try to avoid leaving gaps to fill in as i agree it never looks as neat, but i doubt i'm quite as purist about this as you! But your Granny always used to say, 'If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well". Love the colours on that gently shaded fabric. Love, Mum x
Thanks Mum 😊 That's very reassuring that you found the tech bit all good...must have been if you were enjoying just watching me stitch 😂 But I'm glad you got some stitching done too 😄 And yes, Granny was right...of course 😄 I love that shading too; it's so beautifully charted 😍
Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great long birthday weekend! I really enjoyed watching you stitch. It would be a lot of fun to watch you continue work on Gaia but would happily watch you stitch on any project. Looking forward to more Stitch with Me's! 😊🥳
Thank you, and I had a fabulous birthday weekend 😄 I'm happy you enjoyed this type of video and I'll definitely be doing more...maybe Gaia...or maybe my next new fancy lady start!!
Thanks so much 😊 Really happy you enjoyed it and I am definitely planning more! You know I am absolutely going to say you should start Gaia...it's a beautiful design and lovely to work on 😄 If you do start and are on Instagram please tag me so I can see!
I would like to see how you do with confetti section since you don’t want to leave gap, and dont park either. Still trying to figure the best method for me.
Ooooh, confetti...everyone's favourite 😂 It's a tricky one and although I don't generally park or leave gaps it's kind of impossible to do confetti without either of those so I will do them when needed! I'll definitely aim to include that in a future video 😄 I do think it's a matter of lots of trial and error to find how you like to stitch best; it definitely won't be the same for everyone.
I really enjoyed your stitch with me, it’s interesting seeing how differently people stitch - I’m a cross country stitcher so very different - I have to complete a colour before going onto the next, no matter how large the project! I’ve been madly stitching the Deadly Aquarium SAL frame while watching/ listening. I’m normally a one project at a time stitcher but have recently ended up with 5 WIPS for various reasons. Then I saw the sneak peeks of the aquarium on your last video and was sold, so now I have 6 WIPS as of yesterday! I hope you had a lovely birthday. I turned 44 last month and don’t feel that old either!
Thank you and I agree...it's so fun to see how others stitch! I would say I'm sorry for enabling you with the Deadly Aquarium and adding to your WIP count...but I'm not really because I think it's going to be awesome! I just need my fabric to arrive so I can at least get a bit of the frame done before the exhibits start dropping 😂 Oh, and I had a wonderful birthday, thank you 😄 Happy birthday to you too 🎂
Thanks for the birthday wishes and so happy you're enjoying my videos 😄 I can highly recommend stitching Gaia...but then I love all the Bella Filipinas 😂
Funnily enough I find this fabric easy to work on...it's not always that way with all evenweaves but this one is gorgeous 😍 Although the counting is always a wee bit harder than Aida!
Happy birthday. I am in love with those magnificent beautiful ladyes, and wanna make one. Some day. While you were stitching, I was spinning on my little wheel, making yarn, to knit a sweater for my daughter :)
Awww, that's so lovely that you were spinning yarn while watching me 😄 Thank you for the birthday wishes! I'm glad you're enjoying the fancy ladies and hope you get to stitch one some day 😄
Loved your stitch along #2! Thank you for showing and talking about how you set yourself up for stitching🙂 I'm finding I'm getting a bit more organized in setting myself up. I have a large plastic tote next to me that I keep everything in, in bags so I can just pull out what I am working on and need. I've had to do this out of necessity to keep my overactive pup from stealing my supplies. I can also just throw everything in there and put the lid on when she decides it's time for me to stop😂
Definitely sounds like the organisation is helpful with a playful pup around! It's always an ongoing process to find what works best for you, and I find it a fun part of cross stitching to organise everything!
I am so happy I found this video. I stopped embroidering for over 20 years ago because I didn’t think it was fun. For some reason I began watching flosstube videos a couple of days ago and now I have bought three kits. One of them is Bella Filipino but the Cinderella one. While I wait for the pattern and everything else to arrive I searched for RUclips videos and found this. I am learning so much by watching it. Thank you!
Thank you 😊I'm so happy you found your way back to cross stitch...it clearly popped up at just the right time and I hope you will love it! The Bella Filipna patterns are gorgeous and Cinderalla is such a fab choice. I hope you'll enjoy more of my videos; there are lots of tips and tutorials as well as the flosstubes, and I'm always happy to help answer queries here in the comments or you can email me at catkinandlillie@gmail.com 😄
Kat happy birthday (belated)! ❤ Congratulations on your first stitch with me. Yes I stitched with you on my Guardian of the magical forest(my dragon project). I would look up occasionally and see how you were doing too! 😂I love listening to you talk so if you enjoyed making the stitch with me. I will keep watching. I also loved seeing how you held your fabric for stitching in hand. I am fairly new to that method this I started doing in 2022. 😊
Oh, I'm so happy you were stitching along with me and with such a lovely project 😄 I am so blown away by how much you and others have enjoyed this type of video so I'll definitely make more! I'm glad it was helpful to you to see how I stitch in hand...it's much easier to show rather than try to explain it!
Happy Birthday, Caitlin! I don't usually watch stitch with me videos because most of them go well over an hour and I have to interrupt my viewing at least once. Yours seems like an ideal length for me, and your voice is so cheerful yet calming, even when the Frog dipped his toe in, that I kept up easily with my own stitching. And I liked the camera angle. Your work never strayed off-camera. So yes, please do show us more as you work on Gaia. I have a HAED pdf chart of Anu that totally intimidates me. I look at it every now and then. Today I'm working on a CM Designs chart, Sunflower Symphony. I should finish before the end of May. It had to have a little rest over the winter and I picked it up in early April.
Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad this was enjoyable for you 😊 That Sunflower design looks beautiful; a really uplifting sunny stitch and perfect for Spring 🪡😄
Happy Birthday, loved the stitch along, I was working on my Quaker Union flag by Vivsters, part of the #quakerflagsal. I don’t stitch reproduction samplers or fancy ladies, but still enjoy seeing others that do. Room for all of us in this craft. My birthday is the last bank holiday in May and I’m a fair bit older, some days I don’t feel it, others I feel double my age 😂. I’d love to share more time in another stitch along. Thanks for sharing time on your birthday 🎂
Thank you 😊 I totally agree that it's much more fun that we all stitch different things and, like you, I enjoy seeing other things being stitched that I just wouldn't do...maybe even more so?! That way I get to stitch what I love and enjoy the other projects through other stitchers! I am loving all the Vivsters flags I'm seeing around and they look like a really lovely project. I am tempted to do the rainbow Quaker rather than a flag...but it's basically the same design I think. So glad you enjoyed this and I'll definitely do more videos like this 😄
I really enjoyed this. I work alone and It’s nice and relaxing just having a video like this on in the background whilst I work. It feels like I’m not all on my own and having a little natter about anything and everything. Hope you enjoyed your birthday and BH weekend. I live in Cheshire and it was beautiful all weekend up here. Very blessed - usually BHs guarantee rain 😂
Thank you and it's lovely to know I could keep you company while you worked 😄 I had a lovely birthday weekend...I got sooooo much Gaia stitching done!? That's great that you had good weather for the bank holiday weekend - hurrah!! 😄
Loved watching you stitch! I hope you plan on doing more. I really enjoyed listening to you and learning more about you and some stitching tips. You inspire me to be more organized so I have more time to stitch 😁 I'm working on a picture of the United Kingdom map for my son and daughter in law who are currently living in England!
Thanks so much 😊 Oooh, that map project sounds lovely and what a wonderful gift it will be 😄 I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and got some tips. I definitely do like to be organised 😂 I will be doing more of these videos for sure 😄
absolutely as great stitch with me i was glued as i work on a hoop and could never do stitch in hand, very lovely please do more of these. lovely work too
I really enjoyed stitching along with you. I was working on King Neptune’s tail from a Mystery Stitch along. I found the camera angle, distance and focus very good. I’d love to do more stitching with you, even though I wasn’t able to be with you live.
Happy Birthday! I enjoyed watching you stitch. I’m a new cross stitcher and am thankful for your channel, I’ve learned a lot! I’m also turning 45 this month! I don’t feel closer to 50 either 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you and Happy Birthday to you too 🎂😄 It's lovely to know you are enjoying my videos and finding them helpful as you start your cross stitch journey 😄🪡
This was wonderful, please do more!! I zoomed in on the stitching part ☺️ If you run out things to talk about maybe more about what it’s like where you are as that is interesting to those of us not in the UK. Stitched on a tiny unicorn while listening/watching.. well done 🙌🏻🪡
I also stitch in hand. I like doing the sewing method when I have a block of the same color. I was stitching along on a Prairie Schooler “August”. Gaia is going to be beautiful once completed!
Happy belated birthday! I hope you’ll do more videos like this!! I love the idea of pulling this up and working alongside you! I also think that if you find it distracting to talk a lot, that a silent stitch-a-long or less talking would be something people could enjoy too! 🩷
Happy birthday! Hope you enjoyed your curry Love these stitchalongs as none of my friends stitch so this is the only way I have company to stitch with I don’t know how you manage to count talk & stitch! I definitely couldn’t do that! It would be nice if you could do a stitch along with your mum next time she visit I really enjoyed that episode with her I’m stitching dragons Not as wonderful as your dragon as I’m still a newbie but I can only get better!
Thank you, and I had a really lovely curry and fab evening with my friends. I'm so glad I could keep you company while you stitched 😄 Now a stitch along with my Mum would be a technical challenge but would be fun for sure...so maybe it could happen! That's fab that you have a dragon stitch too...I love dragons 🐉😄
Happy Birthday! I’m actually working an Aimee Stewart HAED right now that I just started literally yesterday. I’ve also got her Grand Library to stitch and a few bookshelves. I’m sort of a fan 🤣
Aimee Stewart designs really are just awesome! I definitely hope to have time to stitch at least one more but choosing is so hard! I hope you have a great time stitching your Aimee Stewart 🪡😄
Happy Birthday! Loved the video, I'm currently working on the Tiny Modernist Sweet Summer SAL Also love jigsaws, I recently did Aimee Stewart Family Vacation and would definitely like to do more with Aimee's artwork on them
Thank you 😊 That Tiny Modernist SAL looks sooooo cute! Love the pretty Summer motifs 😍 I am definitely going to get more Aimee Stewart jigsaws...and they are a lot quicker to do than a cross stitch version 😂
Thanks so much...that's just brilliant to hear how much you enjoyed this 😊 I'm sorry your first bigger project didn't have the best start but go you for getting it back on track and you will love watching it grow for sure 🪡😄
Happy belated birthday! I really enjoyed stitching along with you and learned quite a bit so I do hope you’ll do more stitch with me videos. Where do you get the acrylic floss drops and, most importantly, the numbered stickers? As to what I was stitching I recently pulled out an ancient UFO of 20 + years. A John Clayton circle by Heritage Crafts. I have other WIPS but thought I’d revisit this as I loved it once and didn’t want it to end up in a charity shop for someone else to wonder what happened that the stitcher never finished it. Happy stitching on your beautiful fancy lady, Margaret
Thanks so much and I'm glad you enjoyed this video...I'll definitely be making more of them! The acrylic floss drops are Annie's Keepers and I bought mine from Lakeside Needlecraft in the UK. The stickers are from Sirithre on Etsy... www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1198357598/dmc-thread-drop-labels-organize-your I hope you had fun stitching along on your John Clayton piece...sometimes it's lovely to go back to an older piece and rediscover it so I hope that was how it was for you 😄
Happy Birthday! Your first stitch with me was great. I wasn't stitching because I always lose count when I look up. Lol. I was crocheting a scarf. You don't look 45. I thought you were in your early 30's. 😃
Thank you and you are so kind regarding my age...I certainly don't feel 45 😂 Lovely to hear you were crocheting while watching...my 2 sister-in-laws are fabulous crocheters and I'd love to learn but I just give all my time to cross stitch 😂
Loved this video. Please please do more. This helped me to see what and how my stitching should look. Mine looks nothing as neat as yours but a learning process. I feel when I work on higher counts my stitching doesn’t line up or look so neat. Not sure about this but willing to hear any suggestions on the matter.
Thank you Janice 😊 So glad you enjoyed it...and there is another Stitch With Me if you haven't seen it already: ruclips.net/video/6d5n6pTuSmI/видео.html I also have another one scheduled for 17th October which will be my full coverage piece, Chromatic Dragon. I'm planning to do a Stitch With Me video every 4-6 weeks so do watch out for them...subscribe if you want to make sure you don't miss them! And as for the neatness of your stitching...I bet you are your own worst critic and I am sure it's lovely. My best advice is really just to practice and try different approaches to see what works for you because we are all different 🩷
Absolutely loved this video. I’ve never watched someone else stitch, so was fascinated by your technique. AND… I’ve been wanting to ask how you hold your fabric for large pieces as I stitch in hand also. I’ve noticed when you show your WIPs that they look like they’ve been pressed…not so wrinkled-so your ideas on holding large pieces of material helped me a lot. Current working on a 24x36 inch 16 count Aida piece so a lot to deal with. You are such a delight, Kat…..belated Happy Birthday…I figured you early 30’s😍 Dianne….your friend in Texas
Thank you Dianne for your sweet comments and for always making me smile 😄 I'm glad you enjoyed it and that ug was helpful to see how I hold the fabric. I have worked on my holding technique over the years to reduce any creases as I work because I just find them annoying! It does depend on the size of the project but rolling fabric one way or another is definitely my 'go to' technique.
Kat, this was GREAT! 👍 I have zero criticisms (kind or otherwise 😁) I especially liked that you colour-coordinated your first threads with your jumper. 😉 (Btw, I'm one of those weirdos glued to the screen, NOT stitching along - I wouldn't be able to watch, listen AND count my own stitching - I'd look down and find that the bird I was meant to be stitching had turned into a poorly-shaped fancy lady.) Definitely do more of these. I enjoy the variety that you're including on your channel - tutorials, FlossTubes, special guests (mum!), and now this. You put a lot of work into quality content for your viewers. Thanks. Hope you enjoyed your G&T. 🍸
Aw, your words are always kind and brighten my day 😄 I totally missed my colour coordination of my jumper and thread...I am not sure I can keep that up for future videos 😂 I'm glad you enjoyed it even whilst not stitching...and no one wants a poorly fancy shaped lady 😂 I absolutely did enjoy my G&T on my birthday...and a few more with my neighbours the next night too 🤪
Very much enjoyed, had to chuckle.. I am watching and listening while at work. However I do have a Christmas Advent Calendar by UlyssesBlueStitching Etsy.. that I will be starting soon. I am changing out a few colors and have all the supplies and ready to start 😊
Great video! Keen to see more. Would have loved to see how you track your pattern when not able to use an app. Understand you can't show the paid for pattern, maybe you can show an example with a free or fake mock up version? Also, would love to know how you use the variegated thread 😊 Great job! 🎉
Thank you 😊 It's so great to know you enjoyed this and I am definitely planning more now I know everyone is enjoying them 😄 I'll make a note of those things you mentioned to talk about in a future video. I can definitely use a free pattern to show my tracking although I do have a quick video that talks about this too ruclips.net/video/xXvzJ5lgnRA/видео.htmlsi=JmF8VvdftX3VbTdb I have tackled the variegated thread now and pretty pleased with it so yup, I can show that in another video 😄
Thank you ☺ That's awesome to know my videos are helping you gain confidence. I'm going to share more about how I track my pattern in my next stitch with me...but I don't know when that will be! Until then this video might help; ruclips.net/video/xXvzJ5lgnRA/видео.html
A bit confused as video just posted but was birthday on 2nd May so last week? You said something about it being the 2nd 'today' and Bank Holiday 'this' weekend which I think was the 6th. (In Australia too so trying to work out times....) So HAPPY BIRTHDAY whenever it was! A very Taurean thing to do, stitching 😊😊 I am an absolute beginner so I watched it all...... I have a bookmark kit as a starter but it isn't going very well. The fabric is very stiff. Hard to see. I am finding it quite hard to do. I think I will get something bigger next time. I have seen the Bella Filipino ones before and these lovely ladies and would like to try one of them one day. You make it look so easy. QUESTION: what do you count on the fabric? I thought it was the holes but obviously you need four holes for each stitch. But when I counted the holes on the bookmark I have, it was the only thing that worked and not the whole cross. FEEDBACK: The camera was a bit off especially at the start. The work was in the lower part of the screen not the middle. Got better as you went along. I am sure it must be tricky to get it right though. It is better if you can get it angled to get the work closer to the middle 😊 I am learning a lot from your videos and your wonderful website 👍👍🥰🥰
Thank you for your comment and feedback. Sorry for any confusion with the dates...I filmed it on my birthday which was 2nd May but didn't upload it until 8th May just because Weds is my usual day for posting a video! It's lovely to hear you are starting out on your cross stitch journey and a bookmark sounds like a great choice although it's a shame the fabric is not so great for you. Regarding the counting, if using Aida then you can just count holes...or it's maybe easier to consider them as blocks, and you would stitch over just 1 thread/block. If it's linen or evenweave then usually you make each stitch over 2 threads, so each cross fills a little 3x3 set of holes. I have a video that might help explain this further ruclips.net/video/bZ6_VitFUS0/видео.htmlsi=zYzbPahqzOrEy-LC Thanks also for the feedback on the video itself and you are right that it's quite tricky to get it right but I did feel I was improving as I went!
I stitch in a few places around the house! For this particular video I was in an upstairs spare room that has a sofa bed; it's the same room I use for pretty much all my videos.
Happy birthday from Canada 🎉🎉🎉🎉!! Are you using 1 piece of floss or 2? The railroad stitching do you need to have an even number or floss or can you do it on an odd number?
Thanks for the birthday wishes; I had a lovely day 😄 I am using 2 strands of floss and since this was evenweave I was stitching over 2 threads. You can only really railroad the way I was doing it with 2 strands. If you have more than 2 strands then you can do essentially the same thing if you use a laying tool. I show this in my video on railroading...just check the timestamps for the section on this; ruclips.net/video/anHZs1SIeTY/видео.htmlsi=pDd-V20ZIuey4YgP
No, it’s just the Storykeep. I’m generally a monogamous stitcher but I’m actually doing supersized max color once upon a fairytale for now so it, obviously to big to stitch on the so I started a smaller one just for on the go. So now I’m a bi- stitcher. Lol
Ah, ok...I guess the Storykeep makes more sense on the go! Once upon a fairytale is soooo pretty...that's on my list of ones I'd love to do. For now I've only done the jigsaw version 😂
We love, love, love your stitch with me videos. The Joan Elliot videos are wonderful. wishing you would do more!!!!!
Aw, that'slovely, thank you Debbie 😊 You'll be delighted to hear my next stitch with me will be a Joan Elliott; I'll be working on The Winter's Gift 🪡😄
Happy birthday to you I hope your weekend gets to better weather
Thank you and the weather did get better, and I had a fabulous birthday weekend with cake and lost of stitching 😄

I hope the op goes well and wishing you a speedy recovery 🩷

Great video and happy birthday. Would love to watch more. Quietly relaxing to watch and listen so thankyou.😊
Thank so much 😊 I'm so happy to know you enjoyed it and I'll be making more for sure 😄
I can't wait to see your progress on Gaia. Have an amazing birthday weekend. Happy Birthday!
Thanks so much 😄 Progress update after 5 days of stitching Gaia is on Instagram if you want to see...😄
Love it. Please make more stitch with me videos.
Thank you and I definitely will make more 😄
I really enjoyed this.
Thank you and it's lovely to know I could keep you company while you worked 😄
I had a lovely birthday weekend...I got sooooo much Gaia stitching done!?
That's great that you had good weather for the bank holiday weekend - hurrah!! 😄
Loved watching you stitch! I hope you plan on doing more. I really enjoyed listening to you and learning more about you and some stitching tips. You inspire me to be more organized so I have more time to stitch 😁 I'm working on a picture of the United Kingdom map for my son and daughter in law who are currently living in England!
Thanks so much 😊 Oooh, that map project sounds lovely and what a wonderful gift it will be 😄 I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and got some tips. I definitely do like to be organised 😂 I will be doing more of these videos for sure 😄
absolutely as great stitch with me i was glued as i work on a hoop and could never do stitch in hand, very lovely please do more of these.
lovely work too
Thank you for your lovely comment and it's so nice to know you enjoyed this video 😊
Happy birthday Cat.
Thank you 😄
She is an absolute stunner! Amazing birthday gift 🎁 xx
Thanks so much...might be my best birthday present ever!
I really enjoyed stitching along with you. I was working on King Neptune’s tail from a Mystery Stitch along. I found the camera angle, distance and focus very good. I’d love to do more stitching with you, even though I wasn’t able to be with you live.
Thanks so much 😊 That SAL sounds lovely and I'm glad you enjoyed stitching along with me. Don't worry...you didn't miss me live; it was pre-recorded!
Happy birthday xx
Thank you 😄
Happy Birthday!
@@catkinandlillie thank you!
I love watching you stitch. I also stitch in hand.
Thank you and hello fellow in hand stitcher! 😄
Thank you...and stitching a tiny unicorn sounds super cute 🦄😄 I'm glad you enjoyed this and thanks for the great idea to talk about where I live 👍😄
I also stitch in hand. I like doing the sewing method when I have a block of the same color. I was stitching along on a Prairie Schooler “August”. Gaia is going to be beautiful once completed!
Thank you for stitching with me and I hope you made some good progress 😄
I'm stitching My Big Toe 23rd Psalm. It's massive. Enjoyed your start.
I took a look at that one and yup, it's massive! Glad you enjoyed seeing my small start! Happy stitching 🪡😄
I enjoyed your tutorial. Looking forward to more❤
Yay! Thanks so much 😊 Good to know you'd enjoy more of this 😄
Happy belated birthday! I hope you’ll do more videos like this!! I love the idea of pulling this up and working alongside you! I also think that if you find it distracting to talk a lot, that a silent stitch-a-long or less talking would be something people could enjoy too! 🩷
Thank you 😄 So glad you enjoyed me keeping you company and yes, I probably don't need to worry about filling all the 'air time' with talk!
Watching u stitching and listen u chaating its just so fantastic absolutely stunning
Thanks so much...that's just brilliant to hear how much you enjoyed this 😊 I'm sorry your first bigger project didn't have the best start but go you for getting it back on track and you will love watching it grow for sure 🪡😄
Happy birthday! I’m stitching Afternoon Nap by Wrendale Designs/Bothy Threads 🦊
Thank you! Oh, Afternoon Nap is soooo delightful...it's on my list of Wrendales I'd love to stitch one day. Happy stitching 🪡😄
Happy stitching on your beautiful fancy lady,
Margaret
Thanks so much and I'm glad you enjoyed this video...I'll definitely be making more of them!
The acrylic floss drops are Annie's Keepers and I bought mine from Lakeside Needlecraft in the UK.
The stickers are from Sirithre on Etsy... www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1198357598/dmc-thread-drop-labels-organize-your
I hope you had fun stitching along on your John Clayton piece...sometimes it's lovely to go back to an older piece and rediscover it so I hope that was how it was for you 😄
Happy Birthday!
Thank you Janice 😊 So glad you enjoyed it...and there is another Stitch With Me if you haven't seen it already: ruclips.net/video/6d5n6pTuSmI/видео.html
I also have another one scheduled for 17th October which will be my full coverage piece, Chromatic Dragon.
Loved this! Definitely do more stitch with me's in the future 🙂 I thought the zoom level was great. Happy birthday!
Thanks so much 😊 Great to know you enjoyed it and the zoom level worked for you. I am definitely up for doing more 😄
Absolutely loved this video.
You are such a delight, Kat…..belated Happy Birthday…I figured you early 30’s😍
Dianne….your friend in Texas
Thank you Dianne for your sweet comments and for always making me smile 😄
I'm glad you enjoyed it and that ug was helpful to see how I hold the fabric. I have worked on my holding technique over the years to reduce any creases as I work because I just find them annoying!
It does depend on the size of the project but rolling fabric one way or another is definitely my 'go to' technique.
Kat, this was GREAT! 👍
I have zero criticisms (kind or otherwise 😁)
I especially liked that you colour-coordinated your first threads with your jumper. 😉
(Btw, I'm one of those weirdos glued to the screen, NOT stitching along - I wouldn't be able to watch, listen AND count my own stitching - I'd look down and find that the bird I was meant to be stitching had turned into a poorly-shaped fancy lady.)
Definitely do more of these. I enjoy the variety that you're including on your channel - tutorials, FlossTubes, special guests (mum!), and now this. You put a lot of work into quality content for your viewers. Thanks.
Hope you enjoyed your G&T. 🍸
Aw, your words are always kind and brighten my day 😄
I totally missed my colour coordination of my jumper and thread...I am not sure I can keep that up for future videos 😂
I'm glad you enjoyed it even whilst not stitching...and no one wants a poorly fancy shaped lady 😂
I absolutely did enjoy my G&T on my birthday...and a few more with my neighbours the next night too 🤪
Very much enjoyed, had to chuckle.. I am watching and listening while at work.
However I do have a Christmas Advent Calendar by UlyssesBlueStitching Etsy.. that I will be starting soon. I am changing out a few colors and have all the supplies and ready to start 😊
Yay, so glad you enjoyed this and I made you chuckle 😄Those Christmas Advent Calendar designs look super cute...happy stitching!
Happy birthday. I'm 44 this year, but summer holidays baby, so I flatly refuse to do anything strenuous on my birthday.
Well that sounds entirely reasonable! Thanks for the birthday wishes...I did enjoy a G&T after filming this 😄
Great video!
I can definitely use a free pattern to show my tracking although I do have a quick video that talks about this too ruclips.net/video/xXvzJ5lgnRA/видео.htmlsi=JmF8VvdftX3VbTdb
I have tackled the variegated thread now and pretty pleased with it so yup, I can show that in another video 😄
@@catkinandlillie thank you!!! 😊
Not looking 45. Happy Birthday! Tracking the pattern is of interest to me as well. May present a challenge to present.
@@heatherheider3290 Thank you! I'll find a way to talk about pattern tracking 😄
Loving the video. Your really helping me get more confident as a beginner. How do you keep track of where you are on a large piece xx
Thank you ☺ That's awesome to know my videos are helping you gain confidence. I'm going to share more about how I track my pattern in my next stitch with me...but I don't know when that will be! Until then this video might help; ruclips.net/video/xXvzJ5lgnRA/видео.html
@@catkinandlillie I'll check out your link. The stitch along was brilliant 👏. Looking forward to the next one x
It is better if you can get it angled to get the work closer to the middle 😊
I am learning a lot from your videos and your wonderful website 👍👍🥰🥰
I have a video that might help explain this further ruclips.net/video/bZ6_VitFUS0/видео.htmlsi=zYzbPahqzOrEy-LC
Thanks also for the feedback on the video itself and you are right that it's quite tricky to get it right but I did feel I was improving as I went!
I want to see some back stitch and beads
Oooh yes, will add that to my list to show when I get to those bits 👍😄
Where it is you stitch upstairs? A sewing room?
@@catkinandlillie thank you very much!!
Stitching sk simply meant to be from HEAD, while waiting for my kids in the car.
Ooh, that sounds like a big project to be working on...and good use of the wait time! 😄
