Saw this and then went on line to the Royal Opera House. DVD purchased. Wow, just beautiful adaptation, direction, stage and of course the balance of performers makes this a gem, in my opinion.

he's a bit strange, though, a bit off, with the murderous rages. I think the not-looking is supposed to say that Poppea can be seduce him without even looking/touching.

Increíbles voces. Me gustaría mirar más teatro. Esta escena encarna otro fuego y aquí se ve muy tibio. Pero las voces e interpretaciones son mágicas!
