Great Video! What model/year did you get the cluster with the tach out of? Did it come out of an LSi version? Corolla? I'm wondering where I should be looking for this cluster. Thx.
+Tom Stevens I think the LSi did have them, also oddly enough they fixed an issue the Corolla ones had in which the Tach was on the Left side of the cluster. If you notice the Geo Denso part put the Tach on the Right side. Which if you have the MT is helpful as you can see the tach while you're steering. Mind you by the time I found mine years ago I already new where to shift by feel and sound but it was nice to have as I thought it looked better. Also this should be a straight drop in, unplug the wire harness from the old , plug into the new and everything should work.
I have a 1997 Geo Prizm and I found a cluster with a tach on ebay. I installed it and everything on it works except the tach. I've cleaned all the contacts and it still won't work. Is there anything else you might recommend I try to get it to work?
@@Sanzz_zp I bought it in the junk yard for 36 dollars ... if you find it on ebay they run around 100 to 150 dollars .... look at the prizm lsi models on junl yard
I've been trying to find a cluster with tachometer just like the one in the video for my Prizm 93. I need to buy one. I'm in Costa Rica and didn't find it here so far... Where can I get one of those..?
Did the cluster with the tachometer come from a Geo Prizm? If so what year did the cluster come out of? If not out of a Geo what did it come out of? Thanks
+Jay Smart yeah I saw. didn't see anything about a 94. had a 96 with the 5 speed. upgraded the cluster, seats, started saving for a 20v than I spun a rod and with all the dents finally moved on
Thx @killergoalie! Bought one off EBay and installed..plug & play!
Hello, I have the same vehicle and do you know what the tachometer signal cable is? and the color

Keep your eye out on ebay. Althought they are very uncommon. Not a very popular car either so the aftermarket support is small

Its between geo prizm lsi model 93-97 ... toyota same years are similar but wont work on the Prizm... a toyota is the same as a prizm
This is bringing back serious memories. Please tell me you have 20v hiding in the garage.
if you watch the later videos of this car you will know that it met it's maker. however our 94 corolla is kicking strong but will be swapped!

Can i do with this 95 dx just find one with a tach?
Where did you get that cluster?
What car did that happen to come off???
Geo Prizm LSI
Go back to that junkyard & buy a windshield for that car!
Will this also work on a 93 Corolla as well??
the bezel shape is different. but the procedure is the same. same bolts, screws, etc. just take your time, and dont stretch the cluster harness . :)
Jay Smart I wanna change my LED lights
