Obviously, we need more laws restricting the rights of law-abiding citizens that felons will ignore.
He stated violent crime is down- talk about 2 women shot (1 dead) last nite in northside dr., 4 on Ptree & 1 from bus chase. He probably has 55 apd protecting him.
Democrat run Atlanta Fulton county, is a hot mess.
It can happen anywhere, anytime and under any political party.
Republican red states have the highest murder and crime rates and they're even a hotter mess.

@@jrafficAlthough some of what you say might be true. But I’m sorry, it’s just not that simple.
Most big cities are run by Democrats. Blacks vote Democratic, and many live in the big cities. Minorities and poor people in general commit disproportionately high levels of crime.
If a Republican took over in these cities (however unlikely) it might result in a somewhat lower crime level because Republicans are perceived to be tougher on crime. There could be more convictions and more people taken off the street. But crime levels are not isolated phenomena. It would also result in additional costs for more jails, more fatherless children and the myriad societal costs for that, and welfare costs would rise.
This trade off between crime levels and other societal costs is endlessly debatable, and neither political Party has any real answers. And crime is mostly a function of local people and local conditions, not whichever Party is in power. An angry and disadvantaged young person with a gun is unlikely to change his behavior because a Republican is elected.
