Once again superbly read by the brilliant Mark Nelson. An entertaining story, well reflecting mankind’s ability to mess up the World and itself, published in the year I was born in 1958. Wonderful now for my old age bedtime listening!
Redcoat‘s Return I was hatched in ‘61, and I LOVE these audiobooks! X minus 1, Dimension X & the like are GREAT for bedtime.,.and they make for wonderful, fun dreams, too!!! 😁
Lisa Pope i am amazed so many ppl that enjoy these stories dont recognize the librivox.org narrators project gutenberg as well tho i think the narrated versions are first posted on librivox... dunno about the posting order just guessing
A clever dystopian story. The air of whimsy in the writing is beautifully delivered by the narrator. Really, a hip updating of the Eloy society of "The Time Machine." Wonderful to come across this.
It took me a minute to absorb what was done to that poor man. They used his love for the way things are and turned it into a tool. Because he tried to stop them, he helped them. Because he helped them, he had to carry the load of what he done. Eve's deceit was nothing compared to the woman in the story. She must have looked good to have kept her for 30 years. She wouldn't have lasted that long if it were me, not after what she and her friends did. They would have paid a price too. Really clever book, that has a lot of hidden meanings. I'm proud to put it in my audio library.

Thank you! I adore this narrator.
It’s amazing how well this story has aged!!! Thanks so much for the read!!!
His voice has an aura of the Original Star Trek that I watched in the 1960's as a kid.
It makes me feel nostalgic.
I love this channel and am sooo glad I found it! This is a wonderful narrator too. Such great stories! Thank you!!

Expendable at large! I like the way it ended, knowing that he knew what she did.

Great story well read . The ending is quite funny 😂
How predictable humanity can be. Absolutely love the ending 👽
Yet another symbolically/ subliminally hilarious piece of art, is it a magazine cover?
It's a painting of a city on Jupiter , probably painted while on vacation there.
totally
It would be nice if we could search for books by reader/narrater.
If Mark Nelson reads it, i’ll listen to it!
