    Worker's bamboo heavyweights are some of the best darts ive ever used, but more importantly they're not a pain in the ass to buy like saber darts are. I really wanted some of XYL's epp darts but no one wants to restock them except for a couple of very suspicious vendors. Worker's darts continue to be the baseline as far as i can see, but they can do better with their foam, and they have yet to do an epp entry so far.

    Would have liked to see the rumbling darts FPS tested with the BCAR removed when you got that unexpected lower performance, just in case the bamboo ridges were being affected by the BCAR. It still wouldn't make a difference in the overall testing, but would have been handy to understand if it was a rifling issue rather than a barrel contact issue. Good work on your detailed review as always!

    Absolutely useful, as always. Thanks giving us 'just the facts', with no silly 'open mouthed' image of you grinning at a toy. thumbnail. I guess most of the others have different audiences of varied ages and interests, that only want to see the new blaster. It's fair to say from your sub number, a little over 30k worldwide ( understanding English ) are interested in the 'Stats' of how a blaster performs.

  • @User-dc6sm
    @User-dc6sm 9 дней назад

    I think the rumbling darts might perform better in rapid fire flywheel blasters, enabling a high rate of fire with more consistent fps.

  • @michaellee4276
    @michaellee4276 9 дней назад

    You could easily do a time to target test. Measure the beginning of the spring/trigger sound to the beginning of the sound of dart hitting the target. So you could see how long it takes to go 30 meters. I think that is more meaningful than distance or initial muzzle velocity. You could synch it up with a 240 frames per second camera (or better) easily and cheaply.

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT

    Kinda want to see a lower fps test as well because since these are slower they might give an advantage if we were limited by fps to like 220 or even 100.

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT  9 дней назад +3

      Pretty sure a Sabre dart at 220fps will still marginally beat these adjusted to also hit 220fps.

  • @kittenclaws5775

    I think the Rumbling head destruction test may be slightly flawed, }pulling the head didn't show how much force it would take to destroy the dart because the post of the head didn't fully detach like it would from the inside. Maybe testing how much force it would take to push the head out from the back would be a better test?

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT  8 дней назад

      Good suggestion, I'll have a think about a way you could measure that.

    • @kittenclaws5775
      @kittenclaws5775 8 дней назад

      @BradleyPhillipsYT my thought was perhaps some sort of base with a post on top that you could mount the dart on and pull down of the middle of the foam body to measure the downward force need to either pop the head off or tear the foam.

    We all appreciate that you are the one youtuber who does consistent range and accuracy tests. Most "reviews" from other youtubers are more their impressions and are not particularly helpful for competitive play. The one other youtuber, (and the one I'm guessing you're referring to) that does accuracy tests in a similar format to yours is backyard foam, his reviews are helpful for blasters that are only sold in the US.
    Also, have you ever played airsoft (I know it's illegal in Australia), and would you play it instead of nerf if you lived in the US?

      @@BradleyPhillipsYT Interesting, I honestly find airsoft quite dull compared to my normal 250 fps nerf wars. There's a lot less movement because everybody has full auto high-capacity accurate AEG and more sitting behind cover trying to take shots when possible. I don't have a better idea of a strength/durability test, but I do think that because the rubber ripped that it was NOT a indicator of what might fail with high use. Maybe you could use a microscope and check out the difference in foam 😅

    30 meters is too short for a large number of youtubers, as they just don't have that much yard size. Most also don't shoot with the power you do, most of them sit down closer to 150 FPS, probably because many do Nerf instead of airsoft because they DON'T want bruises and welts.
