Honestly that's what i always thought! Bigger plunger means more air! I aint really into this hobby, but i think that this is the future for every fps range to get ultra light primes
I did the "buy once cry once" move and bought a Bambu P1S. It's opened up a whole world of blasters and customization and I can't look back. There's also the A1 series which is very inexpensive for what you get.
Definitely harrier if you're wanting something more robust. That's not a dig at Shoeless Historian's designs at all--it's just a fact of life for 3d printed blasters. I can think of only like one 3d printed blaster that might come close to the durability of injection molded blasters like the harrier, and that's the SBL2. However, the SBL2 has a good amount of custom metal pieces to almost make it a hybrid of a sort.
Well I think this blaster shows us clearly that fps ain't everything 😂 also aren't string scar outdated by now? Would've love to see a comparison with the Sabre bcar lol Although the thrust bearing is a great new addition to the springer system, can't argue with that!
@matthewross611 Idk, I do +/-430 with my ultima on 30kg spring 70cm barrel & Sabre bcar, got wayyyyyyy better grouping than this with 1.3g Tdarts at similar distance. 12cm iirc
@ that’s great! It does not change that a string scar is not out of date. It’s a perfectly viable option for a lot of people and still works very well. It’s also very different than a BCAR or PCAR which is why it wasn’t used in the video I assume. The string scar in this video is adjustable (a bcar is typically not and the Saber one is not) so you could do a lot more testing with other settings that might work better for you. It’s also a different material and imparts the spin in a different way than a bearing or printed pcar so due to material differences and physics differences it wouldn’t be included in a video like this. It would however be a great candidate for a deeper dive video and a comparison video with representatives of BCAR and PCARS. It’s also super cheap to make if you want to make one and do a comparison video. I would absolutely watch that and save the video :)
String scars are far superior to both BCARs and PCARs in most of my testing but this is very dependent upon your blaster setup, dart choice, etc. I would definitely not say that they are outdated though.
@@AnastasiaRose.-. These aren't really toys, rather hobby grade blasters meant for pro-level games which are generally adult oriented. It's a hobby that covers a wide variety of people, nothing wrong with people wanting this high performance.
wow, the break was crazy, i knew it was going to be crazy, but not that much, also you should consider reviewing the sbl2, specifically the ex version for higher fps, and i thing crush would be a good one to review
@@BradleyPhillipsYTk31 with 16" of 17/32 brass through a very tight SCAR- the ball detent locking the prime forward is harder to overcome than the spring
A poor showing for the rumblung darts, in spite of their otherwise impressive velocity consistency. Hoping we can see a deep dive from you on them, but I do understand if their accuracy was so poor here youd just bin them.
@BradleyPhillipsYT Chrono isn't really all that important to me. 200 fps with decent spread would absolutely dominate the types of engagements I take with 5 dart shots lol
The reason why the strongest spring had lower fps is bcuz of diminishing return as spring power increase. This is is a problem due to the material of most foam darts which expand against the barrel inducing drag - the greater the pressure the more expansion n until it reaches a point that the drag becomes too much regardless of ur spring power.. This problem can be solved be 2 solutions - using a slightly bigger bore for barrel or using darts of EPP materials like the dragon darts. Using my sabre ultima with 30kg spring as e.g., it does 300 to 400 fps on tdarts heavy, very inconsistant n crazy SD. But using Dragon dart, it does up to 540 fps, ard 525 avg
Designer here- you're wrong. This build has a Roboman skinny pusher installed (standard with the Foamdemic kit). With most Talon Claw style skinny pushers, you perform about 20-30 fps less than the high airflow brass ram, and tend to bottleneck at K14 spring loads. The Roboman ram is slightly wider internally than most TC pushers, and appears to create less of an issue up to K14, but does have more of an airflow restriction than the brass ram. With K12, brass ram, and tight barrel (30" of .509 aluminum or 17/32" brass), I've achieved relatively consistent 450 fps performance on Worker 1g bamboos. Also, dragon darts are unsafe to fire at people and are incredibly lightweight. Results with dragon darts are therefore in no way useful.
The only reason that dragon darts hit any harder in your setup is because they are lighter weight than real darts. Chuck in some dart zone bamboo 2.0's and watch your fps skyrocket by 50-70 fps over standard workers. That is just how physics works. On the other hand, your theory about the foam expanding in the barrel is very interesting and bears looking into.

6 months from now: "Check out THIS new 500+ FPS nerf sniper!"
Lol
More than likely 😂
With a sufficiently strong spring, you can get Caliburns and the Sabre M20-X up to 500 fps
Thanks for taking a look at this one! Gameplay footage coming later when you get a fixed blaster?
For sure! Though our cap is 300fps so I'll need to neuter it with a shorter barrel.
It's awesome 😎😎😎 finally we break through "300 FPS Toyguns" . Im very happy about it. ❤❤❤
I wish all reviews did it like you

Definitely!
Convinced me to build one!

At 3:35 that scratching sound...would sanding that part smooth get rid of that noise?
It would be nice to see maybe a yt short about how accurate it is with the Sabre BCAR
This thing sounds great. Outta my price range. But I’d love to try one.

What song is that?
Does the creator have a parts list, so people can source their own hardware? Bars, tube ,ram, etc?
It's on the Printables page for it, FLP-05, the Springer Perilous
Man I'ma buy this for my first blaster, I was gonna get a caliburn for high fps but this is even better
Definitely a step up from the Caliburn
A magazine on the side of the blaster looks super silly and cool!
@JittiusMaximus also has its benefits
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Seriously! Im seriously considering changing the magwell on my JUAB.
It's practical for going full prone. The harrier and kunlun both have short mags to accomplish this, but sacrifice ammo capacity.
Wonder what the accuracy results would be shooting at 30 m...
Also very strange to see that the darts with the lowest SD are the worst for accuracy.
As a complete newbie to 3D printers. Which one should I buy to print blaster parts on?
Bambu Labs A1
Bambu Lab A1 is an excellent printer for beginners. It practically runs itself.
Thanks @wizardbuilds207
Do a 30 m test to see how it compares to other blasters. You would need spacer which make it look down instead of up even more
Could also just put the sight further forward but I need to get it repaired first
Did you accidentally put the thrust bearing back in in the wrong order?
I don't think so, I had flat washers either side.
So what’s the thrust bearings function exactly? I hear that it’s lightening the prime, but how?
a spring wants to rotate as it's compressed. The thrust bearing allows it to do so with very low friction.
How do you buy these powerful nerf guns? I can’t find anything like the ones you have in your videos.
There's literally links to where you can get the blaster in the video description.

what about worker gen 3's?
@@blendervendor2220 what about them? They're worse than Dart Zone Bamboos and worse than Sabre darts.

This is getting scary 😅, Kunlun around 300-350fps, and now this monster, both at afordable prices for what they are
