For those who are curious, Tarek listed the house at $599,900 but didn't get any offers. So he dropped the price to $575,000 and got a full price offer. After closing costs and commission, the profit was $72,700.

That busy wallpaper and busy backsplash running up to the ceiling is something Christina would have put the brakes on...it's WAY too busy for a lot of buyers. Although I'm sure the home sold just fine, you lose more bidding war contestants when 1/2 they buyers will be automatically turned off by how busy the walls are.

It looks so much better. I wouldn't have run the "backsplash" tile all the way to the ceiling, though. It looks too busy especially given the wallpaper feature wall.

Its shocking this house cost $400k! Shocking! Any other place in the Continental US beside NY, NJ or Mass. this plain, run down Ranch would cost maybe $130k. California housing is out of control!

My guess is that it was a foreclosure. I’ve heard those get trashed.
Unfortunately, some people are truly disgusting, quite a few years ago we moved because of a job, so we rented out our house, less than a year later they moved (and didn't tell us). The house was disgusting, the carpets were soaked in dog urine and had to be taken out. Their kid's bedroom had words carved into the drywall. We had to do all the work, once we were done we were lucky enough to sell it and broke even. But yeah there are disgusting people out there, here is the kicker, the women cleaned houses for a living.

In my part of America, this house in its original condition, even in the beginning of 2024, wouldn't be more than 75 grand. It's a dump! The neighborhood is a big drawback for me. I lived in an industrial area for 3 years. Didn't hate it, but I wouldn't choose to do it again.

This house was not left like it was portrayed in this scripted fake show. The crew trashed the house for the drama. How insulting and humiliating to be used by these people for a profit. The rich get richer on the backs of hard working people. Smiling at you the whole time.
