And that is what the Career Politicians and their lap dog media are the most afraid of.
For YEARS, they have been playing off of the tribal mentality of Americans, setting us against one other.
Telling people who to hate and who hates them.
There are some "mindless tools" that buy in, but people are beginning to see (I hope).
Globalists, on both "sides" do not care about America(ns).
They want the WEF in contro, and sadly, we are almost there.
      This song.......
A simple song by a hillbilly gives me the most hope I have had in a LONNNNGGGG time.

My grandfather played this as a backup musician, even playing at the Grand Ole Oprey in Nashville TN. I miss him terribly and he would have LOVED this song! He was NOT a religious man, but he would always say “I’ll let the missus pray for our souls, but I swear to GOD I hate politicians! The only time they care about the working man is when they want our vote!” I love the fact that Oliver came out and said this song wasn’t for the left or the right, it was about ALL the politicians north of Richmond!! This song sings to EVERYONE and tells them that we need to look at those in power who have prioritized profits and power over the common good of us all!

Its a great line. I love that it was put in right after a jokey line (but still real). It sounds silly to type but I think it makes a strong contrast and really hits the point home going from we are joking about the bs our government spends money on, next scene, men killing themselves. Sledgehammer hit. And shout to @ruanniemann2604 comment about how applicable this line can be to youth violence in different settings. I have no idea if Oliver was intending that, but that line is very applicable to young deaths that are violence and not suicide as well. I've seen plenty of both, and I think there are similar roots to the problem that this song touches on.

The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are.
The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, it's very brightly colored, it's very loud, and it's fun for a while.
Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?"
And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride."

They haven't recorded a song this powerful in 50 years. Yes, I know Crosby is deceased. Oliver Anthony is cutting through to all religions, cultures and political affiliations. Tough to do, but he's doing it...

It's the most powerful song I've heard in so long i can't remember. It's authentic, raw and heartfelt. I've never seen a song resonate with so many different people at a soul level. It's American folk music, out of the mountains in Appalachia. It proves that we have everything in common that matters. We're not divided like they want us to be
Not too long ago he was struggling with alcohol and depression. Contemplating suicide. He fell to his knees and prayed to God to take them away and for him to go forward with his music. God answered his prayers. Maybe it's God's energy in his voice that's got the ability to penetrate the soul of anyone who hears it.
A local radio station that scouts talent throughout Appalachia approached him and asked if they could record him at their expense. They posted it just days ago and the rest is history. It's the only song that's been professionally recorded. There's others that are so good too, in the top 10, but they were recorded on his iPhone and are on his personal channel. He has an introductory video that he posted the day before the song was posted. It tells a little of his story.
He's so surprised at the reaction and outpouring of love. He played a farmers market Sunday and there was standing room only. 25 acres of parked cars. He said in June he played for 20 people. Lol.
Before his performance he didn't plug him, his songs or his social media. He read a verse from psalms about how the wicked will not prevail. Everyone was singing along and knew all the words despite it being released only a few days prior. Its been a week. 16 million views on RUclips alone.
He stayed 4 hours after talking to every person who wanted to talk with him and he listened to their stories.
An inspirational young man with an inspirational story and an angelic voice that everybody feels.
He quit his job as a factory worker to pursue his music. He bought land and lives on that with his dogs off grid. This song is recorded on his land in Virginia
I like that he addressed the high suicide rate of young men in our country. He was there, contemplating it.
Hawley said on fox last night that this administration will use force on anyone who tries to ursurp their authority in any way. Trump put out a video on RUclips early yesterday evening warning us that our current president is compromised. A Manchurian candidate. That foreign leaders are in control and we're at risk.

READ: The Creature From Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffin. LYRICS of "RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND" by Oliver Anthony
      [Verse 1]
I've been sellin' my soul, workin' all day
      Overtime hours for bullshit pay
So I can sit out here and waste my life away
Drag back home and drown my troubles away
      [Pre-Chorus]
It's a damn shame what the world's gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is

These rich men north of Richmond
Lord knows they all just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do
And they don't think you know, but I know that you do
'Cause your dollar ain't shit and it's taxed to no end
'Cause of rich men north of Richmond
      [Verse 2]
I wish politicians would look out for miners
And not just minors on an island somewhere
Lord, we got folks in the street, ain't got nothin' to eat
      And the obese milkin' welfare
      Well, God, if you're five-foot-three and you're three-hundred pounds
Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of Fudge Rounds
Young men are puttin' themselves six feet in the ground
'Cause all this damn country does is keep on kickin' them down
      [Pre-Chorus]
Lord, it's a damn shame what the world's gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true

Everyone ought to send an email to your congressmen and senators with a link to Oliver Anthony signing this song; then remind those rich men north of Richmond that YOU sent THEM to DC to address the very things Oliver is singing about so soulfully. It won't fix everything, but it's getting this man in front of the rich men to say what we all are saying, have all be screaming for a long time; every single exposure to truth makes a difference, evil cannot stand in the face of truth over the long haul, and not when people confront evil T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R. I am well aware of how imperfect this country is and especially how corrupt our government can be (I'm US Navy Ret Vet/Disabled; 20 years honorable service) but it's what we've got and there ARE ways to bring about changes to the system. If people just let this song touch their hearts and DO NOTHING than you've already had a nice experience with Oliver and that's where it will end. Change does happen and the most powerful shifts do NOT come from top down, they come from bottom up. Speak up and use your voice for something beyond "wow, this is a great song"; there's a saying in 12 step circles amongst addicts, and it goes like this "If nothing changes, nothing changes". Be the change you are looking for; use your own gifts to say your truth, and say it to the right people, in the right places....don't just bitch to your neighbor and think you've accomplished something. Write, vote, organize a peaceful protest, contact your reps in DC regularly to let them know here you stand. Our democracy and form of government is to be interacted with, not simply observed. Nothing that is worth anything is free, nothing.

This song blew up faster than anything I've ever seen. That's how much it speaks to the average "blue collar" worker. Basically anyone in the lower class to what used to be known as average middle class people. Everyone in that cross section of life. He's written an anthem that will resonate for a century and from what I've seen, he's very humble about it which is good as long as he holds on to that no matter what the elites and labels throw at him. I have had a passion for music my whole life and even spent 15 years working in a local scene that mingled alot with the national stage and this song is one of those types that rarely comes around. It speaks to people of all tastes in music and from everywhere. I understand that in the modern time it's easy for a song to become "viral" but this touched so many people so fast and actually resonated so hard with their own feelings. Best part is he didn't actually call out either side of the aisle but rather all of the "Rich men North of Richmond".
P.S. I have a reaction I would like to see you guys do. There is a band from India called Bloodywood. I would say listen to either Aaj or Machi Bhasad though you cannot go wrong with any of their stuff.

It is so great to watch peoples reaction to this video/song. Everyone kind of goes into it and has the idea "oh this looks like a Bud Light commercial or something...". Then Christian's voice hits and everyone is like whoa. Then he drops the line about miners and minors on an island and the people that know are like, damn. Good for this young man and the spark he has ignited.

as a former soldier and a patriot and religious man it has broken my heart for years having seen where this country has gone. but after hearing this song and seeing how it has blown up not just across america but also GLOBALLY in other countries where it has been unifying people in such a profound way. it gives me encouragement that the spirit of americans has not died out yet. And it reminds me that i may not be in the army anymore i still have an oath to keep. Time to get to work people.

You took the words right out of my mouth about the politicians sending Billions to Ukraine and we get shit.. You guys might of missed the part about young men putting themselves 6 feet in the ground because all this damn country does is keep on kicking them down.. Best line in the song to me
