I remember the first time, I heard Ms Whitney Houston. I was working late nights. The song, You Give Good Love came on I stopped working and got really quiet, I feel in love with that song just like that. I would hear it at least once a night while working.. Finally, one evening while in the kitchen. My TV was on MTV channel and I could hear the song and I saw Ms Whitney Houston singing thinking that's the song I hear at work.. I travel her musical journey with her until the end.. I watched her funeral and could not believe she was gone.. it felt like family, I miss Ms Whitney Houston
I had the same feeling like Jennifer Hudson. First time I heard Whitney's voice, I was 2 years old. 1987 and her single, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" had just come out before the Whitney album. When I heard her voice, it changed something in me. When I started singing at age 6, I knew without a doubt, I wanted to be a singer like Whitney Houston. In 30 years since I started singing (making me 36 now), she was ALWAYS my biggest influence. Like JHUD, I can talk about Whitney all day, and I can't pick just 1 song by her to call a favorite. Whitney Houston was and IS one of the greatest voices in the HISTORY OF MUSIC. #ForeverWhitney
Who ever met the one and only Whitney Houston & also heard her live I'm so jealous I so much wished I had that to talk about omg her music will forever live on it's funny because I used to wait for Whitney to perform on anything on TV but when she didn't I was fine with that to because her presence was everything as well 💜
Wow. Me & J-Hud have the same favorite Whitney performance. Her Merv Griffin debut is NUTS. She sung the FOOL out of home (and the silhouette of Cissy Houston conducting the orchestra is HILARIOUS).
