It's great how this orchestra put out a helping hand to the less fortunate, this lady faced with the unfortunate hardships of having Tourette's syndrome can pick up a violin and play something that is musically sound. Bravo, bravo I salute your young soul.
I'm not sure who the violinist is but this was recorded at the Salzburg Music festival 2007 - it's a piece of "music" (!) by Giacinto Scelsi - he composes music entirely on one tone!!
Actually, I take that back now that I've watched it several times. If you note the camera movements, you can see that if it were sped up then the camera would be shaking more than it was. That's really crazy!
I think people should leave her alone. Music is all about emotion and feeling, and she's embracing it. She is sitting in that chair (1st) for a reason. She is an excellent musician, one we should all strive to be. People are so pompous that they think they could judge her because they think they're better than her. How immature.
If you look, I think the first second or so is sped up considerably, then it slows down after that. You can speed up video without changing the pitch of the note.
no i think it was sped up, but slowed just before he puts it down. I say that because if you look at the conductors left hand, its doing an actual beat (ie 4/4 or wahtevr not just random things.) and he is doing it exactly in time with her crazy bowing. So that leads me to think that he couldnt conduct like that that fast (nor would he for that matter) and have it exactly in time with her.
If you watch the movements of the other people in the frame you should see that it is not sped up at all. See comments of person below - camera would be shaking a lot more if it was sped up! Accept this is just purely crazy violin playing!!
OMG! She's flipping beastly on the violin (Modern piece or something?!) But I couldn't help to find myself laughing at the way she moved with that insane piece.
@gec1994 No thats how the conductor moves because he needs to keep it up with the song, if you dont believe me look at the guy BEHIND the lady putting down his flute. He's moving naturally.
Can it be that the recording was intentionally pushed forward a wee bit what tempo concerns? When I look at the speed of the director passing the scores, for instance, I don't find it natural. What do you think? Is it only my perception?
incorrect - look at the conductors hand. No conductor would ever do that, especially not at the Salzburg Festival. it is sped up, then slowed down just before the guy puts his flute down.
In her defense it sounds like she's playing Concerto #2 for Violin and Rush Hour Traffic! Trying to be heard over all of that I'm surprised she didn't stand.
Hi, I posted the video! I can assure you the recording hasn't been sped up at all - this is a piece of music by Giacinto Scelsi which is basically music composed on a single tone. It ranges from just a continuous tone to this crazy stuff! Amazing to watch though very scary!
The Maestro says- I want you to release your emotion into the instrument! The Woman says- I will do my best. The Violin says- Yes give it your all :) (After the performance) The Violin says- DO I LOOK LIKE A DRUM TO YOU!? STOP BEATING ME!! >:O!
"The scariest violin playing in the world!" DAT BEES ONE WILD ASS BIOTCH, DAWG - BUT DE TITLE BEES WRONG, YOU AIN'T SEEN ME PLAYS YET, AND YOU NEVER WILL! :^)
Holy Crap someone give that woman a helmet before she gets hurt! Seriously, I wonder if she ever pulls her back out doing that. It's like she's possessed by one very pissed off Vivaldi.
@roguemofo8 LOL thank you soooo much! Your comment wa the first thing I saw after seeing her bang her head and I cried of laughter. My mother even stared at me while I was crying and laughing. Thanks again for a good moment.

I have been looking for this video!!!!! Such Intensity and Focus... IS Scary!! Thumbs Up :)
o boy...all those sudden movements keep making my heart jump...
I'm not sure who the violinist is but this was recorded at the Salzburg Music festival 2007 - it's a piece of "music" (!) by Giacinto Scelsi - he composes music entirely on one tone!!
She has an epileptic seizure for seven seconds, then has a sneezing fit for the rest of the video.
That violin must be flinching under the onslaught!
Actually, I take that back now that I've watched it several times. If you note the camera movements, you can see that if it were sped up then the camera would be shaking more than it was. That's really crazy!
Thank you for putting "music" in quotations

I love her passion.
If you look, I think the first second or so is sped up considerably, then it slows down after that. You can speed up video without changing the pitch of the note.
she is feeling the music, its like how we express in voice or in drawings, well she uses her Violen to do the talking!
This is what you would call a classical headbang. :D ROTFL!!!! My mother told me to shut up from laughing so much. I am crying!
Coolcat607, my theory is that she's got an earbud in one ear and is listening to some metal head-banging music throughout the concert.
It's just... incredibly beautiful music)))
You'd think that she was in a head banging band the way she was going at it.
Who knew a seizure could sound that good!
She's feeling the music, man. *takes a puff*
She's going to get whiplash if she keeps that up.
when i see violin playing like this...i just dont understand the world anymore.
@gnatural It's not sped up at all, conductor often conduct the micro pulse at difficult sections to help the orch stay together
I think it's funny how as she calms down, the red tint leaves the screen.
This made me laugh harder than I have in my life lmao

Wow that was a good way to 'hide' an epileptic attack xD
the conductor's just as good
the score says "violin I solo: molto epileptic seizure. then, play like you are shaking off a spider in your hair without using your hands."
OMG.. wtf... whoa she's extremely into her music.
If you watch the movements of the other people in the frame you should see that it is not sped up at all. See comments of person below - camera would be shaking a lot more if it was sped up! Accept this is just purely crazy violin playing!!
"No No No... Do it again but with feeling this time alright?" ahahahahaha
Bless you. There are tissues on the table.
looks like she sneezing everytime she trys to play
it looked like she was sneezing with the sound of the violin being the sneezes at one point....
Just warming up the ol' violin. You gotta make sure who's boss 'round 'ere.
this is what hell must feel like.
The person on the right side is trying to battle her!
theres a contra bass clarinet in there too
OMG! She's flipping beastly on the violin (Modern piece or something?!)
But I couldn't help to find myself laughing at the way she moved with that insane piece.
In the first 3 seconds I watched this, I thought I accidently clicked on a video of a schizophrennic having a fit or something
@gec1994 No thats how the conductor moves because he needs to keep it up with the song, if you dont believe me look at the guy BEHIND the lady putting down his flute. He's moving naturally.

She Fuckin loves it!
And she's suppposed to play on G string and some point but the sound is clearly higher than a G string note. So it was intentionally speeded up.
i want to see the full thing!
I wonder if the sudden outbursts and swaying effects the sound? ;P
i swore it looked like her hair was gonna fly off her head
LMFAO.
You don't have a right to headbang while playing a single note on a violin. Now if you were pulling a batshit insane solo, then do what ever you want.
thought the violin was gonna shatter
you're right, I wouldn't want to cross her in a dark alley! lol
Ahahahaha!! That is hilarious. Though I have no idea how she manages to move so much if she expects it to sound good.
she was eating rice with chopsticks, very quickly
She's yelling at her sheet music.
@Jadefg Have you ever listened to the band Cacophony?
Look at voldemort at the back there, chillun~
It's all expression! I used to play like that my variations on Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
incorrect - look at the conductors hand. No conductor would ever do that, especially not at the Salzburg Festival.
it is sped up, then slowed down just before the guy puts his flute down.
omfg qwdkjhj i swear to god im about to pee my pants cause it's just so funny... LMFAO
No, this is sped up ever so slightly. The conductor and the other players move a bit to quickly at the beginning
If you whip your head back and forth, you lose 24 brain cells per whip.
In her defense it sounds like she's playing Concerto #2 for Violin and Rush Hour Traffic! Trying to be heard over all of that I'm surprised she didn't stand.
Someone needs to give her a guitar.
You would think that with so much convulsing seizure attack you would hear at least a note. all i heard was a scratchy G sharp once in a while
i wonder what the sheet music looks like!
Hi,
I posted the video! I can assure you the recording hasn't been sped up at all - this is a piece of music by Giacinto Scelsi which is basically music composed on a single tone. It ranges from just a continuous tone to this crazy stuff! Amazing to watch though very scary!
Do you happen to know the title of the piece? Thanks in advance!
I didn't know Cannibal Corpse had written a violin concerto
I know its kind of cruel but she reminds me of someone in a mental home.
I'm gonna have a fun time trying to sleep now lmfao
she may be having constipation! LOL Imagine being there in the crowd and trying to hold a straight face...!!!
really FEELS the music
Lool she went to town on those strings hahah
how does she keep her eyes on the music?!
Thats my jam session right there xD
Wow O_o I noticed this video on the list of "related videos" to mine, and I hafta say- that's one head-rockin' concertmistress!
I bet she owns alot of cats.
The Maestro says- I want you to release your emotion into the instrument!
The Woman says- I will do my best.
The Violin says- Yes give it your all :)
(After the performance)
The Violin says- DO I LOOK LIKE A DRUM TO YOU!? STOP BEATING ME!! >:O!
Who's the composer and what's the name of this piece? Anyone? Thanks in Advance!
"The scariest violin playing in the world!"
DAT BEES ONE WILD ASS BIOTCH, DAWG - BUT DE TITLE BEES WRONG, YOU AIN'T SEEN ME PLAYS YET, AND YOU NEVER WILL!
:^)
Who wants to tell her ? Any volunteers ?
shower stabbing scene psycho
i thought she was having a seizure at first...
Nice to see her move but would be nicer if we could actually hear her from that mass of sound !
LOL!!! I wonder if anyone noticed,it is very subtle, but the video is sped up big time. watch the conductors movements.
scariest? gimme a break, this piece CALLS for this kind of playing...she's NOT being maniacal, the piece just IS like that.
It looks and sounds like she is having a major sneezing fit while trying to play, lol.
POSESSED
CALL AN EXCOSIST
RIGHT
NOW
Is this maybe "Désintégrations" by Tristan Murail?
She's trying to saw the violin in 2 xD
Holy Crap someone give that woman a helmet before she gets hurt! Seriously, I wonder if she ever pulls her back out doing that. It's like she's possessed by one very pissed off Vivaldi.
@CrystalVampire987 Actually, she does it pretty nicely. And symphonic metal that would be.
LOL, the title says it all ... :DD
What the hell are they even rehearsing? I have no idea what piece that was.... O_o
Watch out for your life playing by her, haha, this is insane!
holy crap! she looks like she's trying to snack on her violin!
how that person ever got into an orchestra....nobody knows
Ahhhh the violin lady is gonna attack me in my sleep!!! D:
I concur. His clothes move unnaturally, the conductor's, I mean.
oxbubblymintyox, screw the bow, I'm surprised the person sitting next to her is still intact.
@roguemofo8 LOL thank you soooo much! Your comment wa the first thing I saw after seeing her bang her head and I cried of laughter. My mother even stared at me while I was crying and laughing. Thanks again for a good moment.
she doesnt have tourettes o_e shes just really into the music :T
