seriously... its an eclipse for sure... as for people saying its hardly an eclipse shell... the only thing different about the shell is that its been tubular re-enforced and has a 1 piece front clip now. i love this car, it gives me inspiration for what i will be doing with a certain project i have going on :D
@ringworm7 It's actually so at high speeds the tire diameter expands to act as a higher final drive gear, to allow a lower rear-end gear for better off the line acceleration. So you get better off the line without redlining at top end.
alot of dsm draggers install the 4g inline simply for the reason that they can put bigger turbos and have room to route bigger diameter intercooler piping and of course for rear wheel drive simplicity but alot of it is the extra space it creates
It all depends on where you want to register the car...Here in Alliance Ohio there is NO Emissions check or Test...So this car COULD be street driven daily if you really wanted to!~

I got mad respect for Brent Rau and im a DSM lover but wtf with the altezza tails? Was it maybe a slight against domestic v8's for when their looking at them sexy hips of a 2G as he takes the win to know they got beat by rice? To say this beast is rice is fight worthy but still, them altezza tails sure are!

Actually, I have seen rail cars with the 4g63 engine. So, yeah. Say all you want, but the numbers that these engines come up with are amazing. 1/4 mile time for Brent Rau is 6.94 seconds @ 198.47 MPH. The fastest I have ever been in my life is 186 on a r1. Just think he can do that in a car in under a 1/4 mile. If you don't give him props, or anyone props that can do that, then you have no respect for this hobby.
this is pretty epic but its all the money u put into it its not like any of that engine is stock theres a 4 cyl fox body with 4 digit hp and it gets 30 mpg on the highway

It is a 4g63 (DSM motor). He competes with cars running much more displacement.
It's not just an Evo motor... 4g63's have come in Talons, Lasers, Eclipse's, many cars besides the Evo, some people don't understand that...
He did live in Lakeville, not sure about now but is in the twins still.
