Introducing, The Movable Wither Cage

- What is this? A movable wither cage! Well, it's a bit more complicated than that. But still and awesome idea and technical challenge to potentially use movable wither cages in slimestone contraptions. I'm not much of a slimestone engineer myself so instead I show off how this new wither cage concept can be used to make a survival friendly obsidian end platform farm capable of producing up to 129 thousand obsidian per hour!

This is really impressive. I've been dreaming with movable wither cages since 1.4 release. This is trully a huge innovation for technical Minecraft. Had a blast watching the video, great job!!!

Well people tried making wither based quarries since withers/slime got added to the game. Sadly early designs by Myren (i0A5EZLd71U), as well as later designs by me using end crystals (lUEPmxsYwKo), all show that it's basically impossible to have a stable set up, wither can always glitch through blocks and escape. I'm afraid best you can do is bearly stable tunnel bores like the one Jing RS Lin showed (u7EW7wUmWWc)
I spoke with Oreo about this and apparently the entities phasing through blocks was an issue in 1.12 which does not seem to be present in the latest version of the game. This might have something to do with an attempted fix of MC-2025. As far as I can tell I have never had a wither phase through one of these setups while they were moving, all breakouts I have observed were due to the machine itself flying into a wither skull and exploding, which can happen if the skulls are being fired at certain trajectories.

Hello, I've been developing wireless redstone tech, and I have a 2 wide tillable version that's a little cleaner. Thought you might be interested.
Woah I've been trying to do this for some months! I was talking to my friends on how a wither based tunnel bore could help a lot because coupled with some rng machine (not invented yet lol), you could make the wither shoot purple skulls every time and break literally every block, including fluids!
Do you mean blue skulls? Are we talking about the same thing?

Really glad you linked to the wither archive, I find it really funny that you pretty much discovered exactly what Scorpio and jjl21 did a while ago. A wither based tunnel bore has been planned but lots of issues come with it
Of course we would like a build tutorial!!! Any video on this channel is always worth watching. Plus it would be very useful for some players without litematica or any technical redstone knowledge.

I can't wait to see you wireless redstone video! Not that many people have covered the topic since 2No2Name discovered it. Currently, the main innovator is The Redstone Warper on RUclips. I highly suggest you check his videos and get in touch, if you have not done so already. Wireless Redstone still has so much potential and it feels like there is much more yet to be innovated.

This "concept" was shown in Dugged Progress Update #3 by TT almost 5 years ago, also crediting another video that is now sadly deleted.

Or just use shulkercraft's item duper you you build this obsidian farm north-south for example build the duper facing east-west meaning the items woudnt collide with the obsidian at the side or with the wither

Could you turn off the farm from the overworld side by adding a filter to the hoppers that detect a named item which you can send through the portal? Or do the withers destroy the items sent to the end?
While the farm is running the player must be present as there is no way to automatically perma load chunks in the end dimension. So the best option to turn the farm off is to simply have the player flip a switch.
@@cubicmetre If it's possible it might be useful in case the person in the end somehow dies, can't reconnect, etc.

If you can get the wither skulls to travel dead flat so that they hit a wall straight in front of them, you can make a tunnel bore with this.
A build tutorial would be insane
Maybe you can use the blocks that you want to mine in the primiter and just make water stream.
Let me explain
Basicly you can have a line of wither who shoot straight and then have a moveable water using armor stand with froat walker then move the akull fowerd and mine like so

I’ve actually been working on this tech for 8 or 9 months on and off, just haven’t said much about it. Obviously not claiming cubic stole it from me or anything. But I got this moveable cage working and was pretty close to a movable tunnel bore, it was pretty crazy

Love watching these new discoveries of any kind of minecraft tech and seeing what applications or innovations it could entail
U can also use a system with a wolf, detecting your presence in the end dimension, entering it the wolf will stand up which is detectable and your system can automatically shut down, leaving the end will make it sit down and give a seconf signal enabeling the system again.
but if you leave the end how do the withers get up ?
@@fifi7354 if U leave the dogs dimension it will get sad and sit down, detectingthis is done with a contraption that uses a tripwire to pick up a signal if the dog is jumping, this can be done by putting a sheep 2 blocks infront of him and preventing him from getting to it by blocking of one half of the block. Incase the dog does not jump at all over a "longer" perdiod of time, which is detectable using a comperator-timer, it most likely means that he sat down causing the shutdown-signal to be turned off and the farm to be turned on again.
Incase you ar wondering how this would work if the end is not loaded, it doesn't. You would have to build a contraption in the overworld to load the end constantly.

can I implement a duper for gravity blocks?
If you prevent the main head from targeting anything, you won't get any blue skulls, so you don't need a cobble wall.
Scorpio has a concept like this which incorporates the use of a chunk loading detector to automatically toggle the withers attention when loading it.
So the withers break out immediately in the world download...
10:45 does it use shadow blocks, the shared inventory thing by fallen breath

I've heard that withers are both overpowered and underpowered on bedrock edition, I think the wither boss itself is heaps strong, has more health and spawns a pack of wither skeletons at half health. But they also apparently can't even break obsidian so they are easy to trap. I think they make really broken farms on bedrock edition.

What if i load the end portal with a chunk loader and add a clock for the activation of the platform generation. That pretty much solves the first part.
But the problem is turning off... but it is simply solved by adding a clock that deactivates the platform generation

What is it with the snow golems? They only attack the zombie nearest to them. How can I fix it?
just replace blocks underneath the zombies and golems for enchanting tables. Seems to work for me

Another method of wither skulls shielding involves armour stands, if you figured it out, please don't tell Mojang...
since the overworld is already being chunk loaded, wouldn't it be possible to just make a 2 or so minute timer to turn on the overworld side instead of a huge wireless redstone setup
A player named Ianxofour designed an obsidian farm using the end platform that uses items despawning on pressure plates, and a 5 minute grace period of a single item despawning before the farm starts up. you could use that method instead of wireless redstone I believe

This is an big gamechanger, if mojang ever nerf TNT dupers, this will be used instead of blast chambers for sure.
the coplexity of an obsidian farm makes me not want to build any, but this farm si managabel, so I can't wait for the tutorial to build it on my multiplayer server

does the wireless redstone thing need to be chunk alligned? and could you build this thing on a random seed, to show that anybody can build this because not every endportal is in the most ideal position to be chunk alligned
The wireless redstone telemetry modules I showed here can be built anywhere, I need to make a video to go into more detail about them.
