Probably just means don’t wear Tabac Vert seven days in a row 😊. I’d keep it and break it out occasionally like you previously did.

People change good sir. I myself am on the start of my olfactory journey. Somewhere along the road I lost my sense of smell a bit. Had a major life saving op and my sense of smell came back so strong. Now everything smells good to me. Perhaps because some scents seems like a distant memory and some made me time travel in the best way. Loving every step along this road though. Yet to find one that lost points.

You’ve had your time with Tabac Vert. Treasure the memories and move on. 😊 it’s happened to me a couple of times - most notably with Rose Essentielle and Pluriel Feminin

Hi Pep! I honestly think that there can be a a lot of things that can change our taste (like/dislike) regarding fragrances and have experienced quite a bit of it myself in the last few years. Some of it is certainly my tastes changing, some are likely the actual fragrances changing due to age on my shelf, etc.. I also know that after a bout of covid a couple of years ago (not really a bad bout, either) certain scents just stopped being attractive, and others that I had previously not cared for - I now like..
I just have to take the attitude of: "It's not you, it's me..." when I find myself falling out of love with a scent that I previously really enjoyed. But it is a bummer when your feelings change about a scent you used to enamored with. Its like breaking up with a lover - bittersweet, but needed.

The Geo F. Trumper comments about not looking forward to wearing it is the same feeling I've recently had with Sergio Tacchini. Every time I get to it in my rotation it's "oh, I'm wearing this today". and then I look at he bottle to see how much juice is left.....LOL. Good fragrance, and I'm not going to toss the 2/3 I have left because I'll eventually get through it, but it's got a "meh factor" about it that Pep is describing with GFT Sandalwood. I've recently replaced GFT Sandalwood with Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood on my want list.

Quite possible that it's a physiological reaction. When I became sensitive to woody ambers, it literally happened over a single night. One day I wasn't, and the next day I was. Maybe there's an invisible adaptation threshold we just aren't aware of consciously, and once we cross it, there's no going back. I'm sure the subconscious could be of more help.

Same thing that happened with you and Tabac Vert happened with me and New York Intense! Selling my 2nd bottle and preferring Pour Monsieur and Heritage for similar vibes.

Well, i guess we have that in common with NYI as well.

I never "got it" with NYI. I much prefer my vintage Heritage which I think is a definite inspiration for the Parfums de Nicolai...

I have the Manuel Cross sample set and I’ve found that they all have something really harsh and overwhelming to my nose. 👃🏼 Perhaps it’s that musky base. I’ve sold about 10 bottles off this year and it feels great!

Meh, I love Tabac Vert! I think you'll come back around to it. 7 consecutive days is a bit much for almost ANY fragrance! Don't unload it, just don't wear it for awhile. Why not set it aside for say 3 months and then reevaluate??
