My opinion rq…..Look at these people of color just so beautiful and full of energy just literally glowing from wall to wall with sweat and beautiful black and brown skin tones.
The 70s was just was just such a golden time for African Americans we understood our worth, we understand the importance of being black, even though things weren’t easy in America we still had our secret little outlets like “Soul Train” to let people know we’re black and we’re mf proud!!!! We spoke to each other through soul and funk and continued to show our kids which they passed to theirs we didn’t hide these beautiful things in our cultural, we didn’t cancel anybody out, everybody got a seat at the table and enjoyed it.
This is just so beautiful man no other words to describe it so many smiles so many beautiful black people in one room and Marvin’s voice and amazing dance moves just made it more worth wild I love this nothing brings me joy than soul train. Let’s continue to celebrate us beautiful black people!🫶🏾❤️
P.S. I’m 22 I wish I was born in this era just to experience it!

"Got to Give It Up" is a song by American music artist Marvin Gaye. Written by the singer and produced by Art Stewart as a response to a request from Gaye's record label that he perform disco music, it was released in March 1977.
Upon its release, it topped three different Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, and became a worldwide success. Gaye sometimes used the song to open his concerts. The song has been covered by several acts. Source Wikipedia
