Had been discharged out of the air Force in September 1973. Had a few bucks and a wonderful, red 1971 CB350 , to trade on a brand new, green 1973 CB750 Honda! Took delivery at the dealership, swung my leg over the flat seat, and pointed my new treasure down the street! Shaking with anticipation, I eased the throttle open! What a rush!! I learned what a magic carpet must feel like. Nothing before or since have I felt the same excitement this moment, and this perfection delivered! You never forget your first true love, and this charmer was my first.
Hey, that's my bike! I had one exactly like that; bought it new; it was an unsold '73 bought new in '74 same color and all. I recognize everything on that beauty. I still have the pictures. Damn, why did I sell that.
I grew up in a neighborhood full of mostly lower ranking Air Force officers in the 1970's, and the CB750 seemed to be their bike of choice. I grew very familiar to their looks and sound as a kid. These were what became the quintessential "big" motorcycle to me, not Harley Davidson. And I'm thankful for that, I've been happily riding Honda quality for 30+ years.
Hi, I am writing from Italy to congratulate you on your bike which is really very beautiful. I am also restoring a cb 750 four k1 from 1971 that belonged to my grandfather and I hope it will be as beautiful as hers. Greetings from Rome.
I had one in 74 a powder blue one, sold it and when i saw it a month later it was a wreck, drop bars four in to one marvin exhaust shame i did not have the cash to buy it back.
Yea, Honda should build this exact model again... they would sell a lot... around the World. Maybe build them for 2 years, and cut off production again... Then wait 3 years and left some more out of the barn.
lol I just bought one of these I'm fixing up...I didn't even realize there's supposed to be a buzzer for the blinkers....but now that I think about it I did see it mentioned in one of the wiring schematics I was using, but I just figured it was for a different year or something.
Remember seeing the first one in kens MC Westgate Road Newcastle and being star struck. I stood for a while just taking it in. BSA's final coffin nail.
I had one exactly like it in 1982 I was 18 years old lived in Florida great bikes I never had a problem with mine after I sold it about five years later I bought a 75 550. Four it was nice too I currently own a Honda VTX 1800 love Honda's
Thanks for your kind words...sorry about the "nice, nice, nice" commentary but we're short on adjectives these days. Just remember those old commercials "You meet the nicest people on a Honda!"
This bike was my first "four" machine: a Honda CB 750 K6. It was mine for half a year, then a stupid car driver did not give way to me and we crashed, the bike was total loss! That was 1977.
Aquirred one used honda cb750 from the police dept tenderlist, bought it in 2000 and keeping it until today, very nice machine, powerfull.best regard fr m'sia.

The older they get the better they look, just fantastic.
Honda..everything they build exudes quality..and form with fantastic function..bet there are a few folks would love to have this iconic bike..
Love the sound of those old bikes.

Such a nice bike. I would love to get one of those. So slid, so simple, best clutch, best ever engine that can run forever.....period.
The bike was the first to incorporate the changes in the construction of the brakes from asbestos and the powder.
Haven’t seen this good even here in Japan.
The sound talks!
That's a real nice bike! I have a 1980 cb750 & I love it.
Awesome bike still after all these years, boy i want one too😂hi from Holland

What a beauty!
Very nice bike indeed, but it sounds kinda different to how a CB750 four would normally sound.
Didn't mention the blued exhaust down pipes!!
Is it for sale ?
If it is would you please provide contact info .
Thx
Other motorcycles are manufactured....Hondas are engineered!
Musta said "nice" around 500 times. Exhaust pipes should not discolour like that.
Video dosent reproduce the awesome 750 / 4 sound I remember when I was a kid
Randy Treadway maybe it’s because we took the baffles out.

This street is in front of my house and we take liberties based on residency.
