Why do professional installers like to install the lights pointing up or pointing out? I bought some universal shingle clips that clip onto C9 bulbs and allow me to have them either pointing up or down, not pointing out. When I have the bulbs pointing up, the light dissipates into the sky and they do not seem that bright. Pointing them down, the light reflects off of the fascia and it is bright but it looks like every other home on the block and not necessarily professional. Any tips here?
Thanks for taking the time to explain every step thoroughly along the way! It is helpful to see the thought process of a professional. Do you have another video or segment about hanging cords on wood surfaces? I plan on doing the arches only above my windows, mostly cedar surfaces, one brick. Thanks again and subbed!
I'm just trying to get my nerves about climbing to my second story to hang lights. For someone who works in IT being on a roof isn't all that common for me.
How much do the lights cost you per foot? I’m in Canada but I the ones I get cost me around 3$ a foot just wondering how much I should charge to run a business as I’m just getting into my first year.
@@jackdawson7108 Yes so far Big Star has great service. I'm also in Ottawa area. On top of houses I have a few requests for trees but i'd rather do houses. Maybe i could refer you one or two. By the way I'm starting out as well.
Those cheetos are gonna do a number on the gut in the off season lol trust me . Good stuff man and yes safety is always important. Going home at the end of the day is more important than the money you made that day. Keep up the good work

Justin Frederick No I don’t. I don’t think it would be worth the labor, some houses are to dangerous as it is, so I don’t like the risk of chancing it multiple times. I would maybe consider selling them changing color remote control bulbs. Then they can change the colors for Halloween and Christmas.
Hey Freddy, I liked&subbed, you are awesome bro. Really valuable information. I'd like to know, where do you get the end cap? definitely give it a super pro finish. Thank you
$760? That's insane! That's only a few hours of work, tops. I could start with nothing, buy all my own equipment, including ladders and still do it for half the price.
Bet he has insurance, workman's comp, and gas in his gas tank thats why he'll be the one they call when your number disconnected bc you can't get what your worth. 100.00 an hour when I stand on my ladder period!
I slap them up "rustically" for little money. It is funny though the people who pay $250 for a big job and then complain their lights don't look professional. Well, first of all let's talk about your budget...
Safety moment reminder at the end. Excellent!

@@LawnThumbs if Im trying to make an extension cord out of spt-1 wire could I put a male plug at both ends or does it have to be female to male?
@@tylerdurden6186 you can do both. But the general rule is you want a male/female. But it should be fine.

If I remember right it’s 161 ft.
If I came out and saw you leaning your ladder on my gutters I’d lose my shit.
