My 2000 jeep grand Cherokee laredo will be running perfect then all of a sudden id dies. It sits about 2 minutes and starts right back up and runs fine
How do u know which pin hole is number 2 and 22…. Is it on the plug or do you count from the top left to right? Thanks in advance for any info sent my way
Hi nice video! I have a 2001 grand cherokee crank no start fuse for 02 sensor has no power at all as well as two more if i shoot 12 v with power probe it starts any ideas i have a feeling my friend may have jump started it backwards is there a fuseible link all fueses in and out are good thanks for your help😃
My dad has a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 4.0 it starts but only for about 30 seconds then backfires through the throttle body & then shuts off ?
Hi I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler 2.4. Car sometimes doesn’t start or engine cranks at all …I checked all wires ..I replaced key ignition switch as well. And I also checked if there’s signal to starter but nothing. Would u think it’s the pcm
.9 ohm is absolutely fine. If you are testing across more that 1 foot of wire you will have more than 0 ohm longer the wire higher the resistance. When you are reading more that 1-1.3 ohm across a wire then I would be concerned.
What meter is that yellow one? Thanks for the video! I'm troubleshooting a bad pcm on a 97 Cherokee and it's dead on A17. Looking for a reputable pcm source to replace it now.
+12v at pin 2 but 0v at pin 22, i don't have comunication with the ecm and no spark but i have unplugged the fuel line and the fuel pump is pushing fuel nonstop...
@@jeffryan9575 it was a big fuse in the pdc box (if i remember it correctly, it was the fuse for the Automatic Shut Down Relay/Powertrain Control Module) pin 22 is a fused 12+ comming from the battery
Using a power probe to check power is not a good idea man…. You have to load the circuit.. use an incandescent test light. You can have 12 volts and wire can still be bad. Start of the video and already misleading
@@TestDontguess you have got to be kidding… a power probe doesn’t load the circuit. Sounds like you have never heard of load testing a wire before. Unbelievable…. The power probe is an LED and tells you it has 12 volts present, that does by no means mean the wire is good.
@@mikesabin8568 did it look like I was trying to load the circuit ? And power probe has a tool for load testing and for 5v where your stupid light can’t do crap
@@BackCountryWrenching no it didn’t look like you were trying to load test the wire… and there lies the problem… Just touching the power probe to the power wire and saying well we got 12 volts we are good is false.. So, if a power wire has a bunch of strands and corrosion or rust cut through 95% of the wire and you are left with one stinking strand left, guess what the probe is going to say? You have 12 volts!!! Yay!!! Except, the wire isn’t good is it? Now if you put a test light there, it wont light because not enough amperage. Yet, your space age power probe (which i also have by the way) will tell you 12 volts. Come on man…
Ok you checked the wires, but how does that show the if the pcms working? Thanks
Thanks! Too many folks out there don't know how to use a meter to check voltage or resistance and even more don't understand current.
That is so very true
I'm one of those peeps. =/
Still wanna learn tho!
Omg it’s Wolfman Jack!
Short and sweet and the PP does a great job too.
The PP is the best tool known to Real Men not Gillette commercial pansies
So is there another video you have made concerning the other fault

Is there a follow up video for the resistance on pin 31 and 32, I'm getting 10 ohms on both ?

I have the same reading. But, no fuel or spark. No bus on the dash. Did you get this figured out? Where is pin 22 coming from?

Big help!
I went to test the part with 5 volts and it had 3 volts going in and .5 volts going out????
i have 2005 no power at pin 22 any ideas
😂😂how do I program my multimeter to say ouch
Hey hey, 1st comment...... good trouble shooting

If you want to be stuck in the 70’s that’s your own problem not mine

Check all the fuses....lol...
Voltage at Orange and violet orange are 1.8 volts? What does that mean? How do I trace that
he didnt know the answer lol

I got a 1992 cranks but no spark. Can I just convert it to points distributor? And bypass the stupid pcm
