What if my mechanical seal failed on my KfX700. And oil got into my antifreeze. The seal is already changed and the coolant line has been cleaned but the quad doesn’t run well anymore. Does someone have an idea what it could be??
I have a Honda rincon 650 and I have coolant leaking from my weep hole and have ride coming up before I can replace my seal as long as I keep the weep hole clear and check my coolant often should I be fine
you may get away with it, but once that seal goes all the way, there is no going back, you will be dumping coolant into your crank pretty quick. So it's a 50/50 chance it will last the ride. If it where my choice i would sit this one out and change it so you know you can return back to the trucks without being towed.
Hey I have a 2016 yamaha grizzly 700 and j was riding one day and when I home there was coolant leaking out one of the little tubes from the snorkels but there was no over heating light turned on anyone know what that can be?
From your factory snorkels, like under the fender? or did you or someone else snorkel your bike? If there is coolant way up there you may have pressurization on your overflow bottle, in which case i would check your head gasket condition with a leak down test. It could possibly be just an over filled overflow bottle however.
Its either the mechanical seal is starting to go or is gone already, or you are over pressurizing the cooling system and the seal is bypassing because of it. That could also mean a bad head gasket.
Thanks, I'll be checking ✔ this on my 660.
So if you’re leaking radiator coolant through this weep hole rubber line, the mechanical seal in water pump is gone?

Thank you….mine is bad.
Any video on how to change those mechanical seals.
Yup, it's an old video on a Rhino 700 but the process is the same. ruclips.net/video/px4V8UAMWeo/видео.html&ab_channel=ruyguy8888

@@ruyguy8888 I bought the bike used with snorkels already and I’m pretty sure the previous owner put those one there himself
@@ruyguy8888 where is the overflow bottle located?
@@cdn-barajas7318 Missed this reply. Coolant overflow bottle is on the left hand side under the fender by your leg.
