I expected Oba of Lagos to tell the federal government representatives- including the Buhari Chief of Staff and the IG, that they must decentralise the Nigerian Police Force with the immediate effect. If there had been states police, the damages and destructions of properties in Lagos would have been controlled to minimal as most of the criminals, hoodlums and miscreants would have been known to the police or be in Lagos state police file and watch.
No civilised country practises centralised police again as it's very cumbersome and awkward. So, why is the federal government keeping it? What is President Buhari and the North afraid of by not allowing the southern states to have their own states police? All the southern states governors should be bold to confront the federal government that they want states police as practices in America federal system.
