Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness, Part 1

It is often claimed that Conrad’s Heart of Darkness is a ‘colonialist’ text. But the particular features of the scramble for Africa are as much pathological as they are domineering, as Conrad makes in comparison with the Roman Empire’s colonization of Britain.
The differenxs lies in the modern commitment to ‘efficiency’, the amoral ideal expressed by the machine. I discuss part one in light of that.

I agree that it's not only a strong argument for Christians against what is bad actors human nature but its even a 3rd avenue just as it was in the separatist / catholic/ King James Anglican tripartite nature playing out. Maybe even a silent fringe 4th who is foreign few but has a strong voice at times.
Just How we constantly see many modern humanist & socialist trying to claim links to the wrong heritage . They are very separate from classical American christian & payfare passengers and early immigration into America. Somehow in early 1900s they must migrate into usa on the heels of feedback links of political mixing connections where we see it showing ideological familiar ties here and there in position of authority. these are not the missionaries, but would've been more in common with the bad actors domestic and abroad. You can read letters of wives seeing ideas like care taking turn into less than Darwinism husbandry animals ti be tamed . Horses to be broken and domesticated.

If anything a late emerging parasitic feedback loop is emerging on the heels of missionaries and in the back drop of 1840s Civil War as Charles k works is already sounding Darwin like cosmogony useing platos spiritual essence as it is absolutely definable by teddy Roosevelt.

It's primary is European and is vaguely present in only American elites who associate with them making usa a perfect measure of its development on the fringe but Harvard to the Smithsonian has had some major agencies or institutional swipe across many of the works of this era that's not directly tied to the main article of the times.
