The Hung Kuen Academy Hong Kong (洪拳學社) is a branch of the Chiu Wai Family Style of Hung Gar (趙威洪家拳), established by Gam Bok Yin (金博賢), a student of the Chiu Wai Family Style of Hung Gar (趙威洪家拳) in Hong Kong since the 1980's. The video performances shown here are by students of the Hung Kuen Academy Hong Kong (洪拳學社), and are examples of traditional Hung Gar from the Chiu Wai (趙威) lineage.

劉家良武館教頭都係白人，老蕃練武認真刻苦，腦根靈活變通，華人多数死板板、衹學招式唔練基本功，懶，墨守成規，學咗套路唔識運用，一條撚咁唔成大器。老實講啊，中國功夫雖然係華人創立，卻唔适合現代中國人練，中國人适合練簡單化的拳擊或散打。中國傳武太復雜了。
tat lei 不是华人不适合练习，而是华人没有去变通。我以前练习传统武术，武术团有很多有氧运动和体能训练，加上有把套路拆开练习单项攻防技术用于散手训练，不是开玩笑，像我这么胆小懦弱的人，学了三年之后，虽然不像街头架王的朋友那样厉害，不过也起到了防身作用，平平安安度过校园霸凌的时期

In Hong Kong, schools are often small spaces due to high rent and there's often no air conditioning. Try shutting down the AC for five minutes in a typical school in the US and you'll understand.
