I had the honor of meeting Emily and Jimmy on the airplane headed to Mexico, City from Houston, Texas, 11/18/2023, I then, later, saw them outside the Mexico City International airport as they were getting ready to leave the airport in their travel van, I asked them if I could have a photo taken with them, they were so nice about it and said yes. The photo turned out to be a short video instead because the video button was depressed by mistake. I now have such a keepsake, a recorded memory I certainly treasure. Both Emily and Jimmy were such a very nice, down to Earth, lovely couple, I will never forget this day. I flew into Mexico City from San Antonio, Texas to see their show with my daughter in Mexico City, tomorrow, 11/21/2023. I absolutely love this band. Jimmy and Emily are such wonderful folks, a class act.
My favorite thing the world, a live Metric concert. Emily's incredible stage presence & toned legs are a better visual accompanyment than any light show, though James, Joshua, and Joules' stage presence ain't too shabby either, and also pretty damn fun too!
I'm a big metric fan! It's strange I can't explain... I don't have any friends who are into them, i never had... I'm an introvert anyway and their music gave me so much, I experienced so many emotions. I did communicate with Emily in the past through social media and i always got so excited when that happened! I've been a fan since Fantasies album came out. Never had the opportunity to see them live - I live in a small island in Europe (like formentera 😉) so this time I thought of traveling to Paris to live this experience but I don't know anyone there, I'll go on my own and that holds me back a little but then I feel that this is my chance... 3 months till the concert...still thinking about it..
I absolutely love Metric and saw this tour in Halifax in September. I lean toward more reckless music by nature (punk rock/hardcore) so i can appreciate your comment. As well, none of my friends even know who they are. Doomscroller is a great listen for the gym.

I finally met all of them, 15 yrs after hearing Help Im Alive in Tower Records, and having a moment to say the least. Everyone of them were so gractious amd down to earth. Si much respect!
saw them in Wichita last Friday. They opened with Artificial Nocturne. Jimmy's solo melted my face. watching the rest of the show with a melted face was worth it. Simply stunning.
I love Metric an Sacremento. I have fond memories. The power was out in our Hotel and the bar could not process our payments but the bar keep said she would keep tabs open .After an hour or so all the guests were down in the bar. My friends birthday. Free drinks for all guests is what it ended up being and all of us ended up swiming in the pool and tub outside. One guy in a suit went in clothed with his phone and wallet . we pulled him out. Girls were topless in the pool. This is a true story. Nothing bad happened but, We had to work next morning in 100f or 30c heat. And Metric always is great.
Ya know. I got hooked on one song. Then asked, They got an Album ? So after a short search. Found this. I'm very impressed. This band rocks , her vocals are just so top rack. 🎉
It it's inexplicable in many ways... word choice is sometimes important. Not with Metric. The feeling. I getcit. I've had it too since late 2008. I understand. I get it, I got their magnetism too. ❤❤❤❤
I just saw Metric at the Chicago Theater this past Tuesday, October 18. The show was NOT sold out?!? I drove down from Milwaukee to see them. I'm not sure why Metric doesn't get the airplay they deserve. They barely get airplay on my local radio stations. The show was awesome! I'd love for them to play Summerfest in Milwaukee, but I don't think enough people would show. Chicago Theater only holds 3600. A Summerfest Main Stage holds 8000-12,000. Thank you for posting this!
The biggest reason is they have intentionally avoided commercial record labels. They don't want to be part of the corporate machine. Almost no advertising to mainstream advertising channels.
I saw Metric a few months ago in Victoria, BC, Canada at the Royal Theatre, which seats 1400, and they sold out two nights. It was a great show, with lots of energy from the audience.
Here in Canada they sell out plenty, and are radio staples! They choose to stay more of an 'indie' band - eschewing major labels or promotion. Their popularity comes through word of mouth. Similar issue occurs with another group, like Metric, called Dear Rouge - electric-alternative, female singer. Awesome live, but only play small venues.
Great playlist, great performance, great sound !!! Many thanks for that awesome live from a band that It seems hard to see live in Athens Greece... Please, come here Metric, we have nice sun indeed...!!!
Well, I'm new to this band. I love the latest - Formentera! Amazon suggested it/auto played one of the new songs and I got hooked quick! So missed this show all together - late to the party, but I would have gone after just this one album. Doomscroller hits me so deep when she sings: "I can't seem to shut it down. Until the worst is over. And it's never over!". I did not even know I felt this feeling until I heard this song. Amazing! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see you in Los Angeles next time. Thanks for posting this. Verifies that this band is legit live!
I didn't unknowledge about this band before at all but wow they do an amazing performance great musicians and singer as well so underrated I'll keep up on their track for sure love it
@Bigdigs26:Thx for uploading. Could you please update the setlist? After Combat baby comes Cascades. Only a few more hours... On Sunday I will be at the gig in Hamburg (Germany). 🤩
This audio was pulled from the board. No way it was captured wild. Listen to the crowd. It's coming from the perspective of the on stage mics. There is no way in hell you can get that kind of separation from a random mic from a seat location.
‘Risk’ was my first…..I’ve thoroughly enjoyed exploring all of Metric. This is so awesome to have a full show here, to experience. Have they been in Denver before?

i love metric to death
I can’t believe how amazing the sound quality is on this video, such a great band. Bravo to whoever recorded this!
couldnt agree more. I wonder if most of that is just how good they are live? Great stuff all around
I went to the LA concert and this video really captures the sound quality. It was my first time, they sound really good live.
Was it recorded off the mixing board? If this is a standard camera mic I'd want to know where to buy that camera.
Good job Hoserama. Take off to the Great White North you hoser.

I went to this show the night before my kids were born.

Imo one of the best bands of the 21st century 🤘
Metric is probably one of our most precious jewel.
I've seen them 5x this year already, and it isn't enough.
ive seen them over 30x, not even joking lol
^^^^ Bro just said, "Those are rookie numbers, gotta pump those numbers up." Lol 😅
I started going to concerts again after a 10+ year break and can’t wait for them to be in the Miami area.
Watching this just makes me appreciate how much of a steady but loose beast Joules is on the drums.
Amazing. Four great talents who add up to more than the sum total of parts.
Just saw them in Richmond. Beyond phenomenal. This is the party at the end of the world i needed before we chuck it all down the drain.
def feels that way, doesn't it?
Was there!! It was amazing❤

Metric !!! Nothing Else!!!
Great sound engineering through the mixing desk.
Wuuuuuuoouu yeah yeah yeah! Sí señor, la mejor banda, music@s excepcionales!
Hoserama completely nailed it here !
One of the finest live recordings at TubeYou.
Y'gotta respect someone who knows their shit!
Always finding the good in the bad. Metric’s music is inspirational, aspirational and triumphant. Thank you Emily, James, Josh and Joules!!
That voice! amazing.
That last gesture, Joshua giving a loving fan the set list, touched me. Makes me happy for them.
Great recording…sounds fantastic
That’s truly some amazing sound recording there. For an audience recording this is superb!
Love this band! Great sound on this too!

Only people who know good music discover bands like Metric & others like The Arcade Fire.

I just noticed that the intro of Now or Never Now resembles Someone Great by LCD soundsystem and I love it
WOW
Formentera my favorite song from them!
They are AMAZING
"Wet Blanket" is still probably my favorite song of theirs. Wish they'd squeeze that gem into their setlist.
Love this!!! But the commercials are BRUTAL!

KILLER LEGS ,Wow!
Wow. How did I miss this. Controlled power with a lot of dynamics. Need more!
That Gold Guns Girls outro was sick
thank you for posting this :)
Really great stuff!
Looking forward to the London show :)
Did the WHO in London in 97, flew from Alberta, went for 2 weeks, toured the country, came back to London 4 concert, great city 4 concerts
At first wasn’t very pleased with the setlist, but they sound better than they ever have. I’ll be seeing them for the 6th time tomorrow
Awesome
gracias!!!!!!!!
I saw them in LA. Thanks for uploading this! Gives me a chance to reexperience the concert!
Ok I think 1,000 of these views is mine lol
ok well this is darn nuttty. If this is included in the petition for the US to switch to the Metric system then Shirley it will pass.
That drummer is the boss. and how many instruments does that girl play? wow
jules scott key. one of the best rock drummers of past 20 years.
Original old skool WHO fan and metric also
and its clearly compressed
Thanks a lot.

It hurts the soul that it is such truth. Imagine not having to care about home, car, food, or bills?
Manchester a month from now :-)
