What do I major in to become a family lawyer?

If you mean for an undergrad degree, you can major in many different things--social work, family development, pre-law, really anything. However, just do well in whatever you choose to do, get a high GPA and do well on the LSATs before applying to law school. Then you can get your Juris Doctorate and specialize in family law.

Psychology, if I had to do it all over again! You’re working with folks during a stressful time. They’re not making the best decisions. You end up leaning more on the “counselor” part of your job than the trial lawyer part. It’s helpful to love being in the courtroom. But if you have the ability to work with folks during hard times, they’ll refer tons of business.

Family law is not constitutional. However, the rights such. as right to marriage and to have a family are fundamental rights protected by the constitution. Check with your state family law.
