@@jeffreymccrickard2347 I'm in a band with Miles (Lightlow). That's part of a guitar part from one of the songs on our upcoming album. He plays several variations on riffs from that in this demo.
@@DaveMcCall I can't get that riff out of my head. Every time I pick up the guitar, I gotta play it. I love those chords. So is your band name lightlow?
Phenomenal Demo. The best descriptor of the properties this pedal possesses I have yet heard. What a great job using clear terminology, expressive execution, and at the same time, offering contextual playability. I have been trying to decipher from other reviews, the ethereal nature of this pedal in a complete picture. While other bits I've seen were great snapshots, this a more in depth overview that convinces me to add to the arsenal. Well done!
Excellent demo of Slo pedal! Showing off the strengths in a straight forward way. Have 1 arriving tomorrow, stoked! Had this Dream in my head for a long time now ...
I'm completely sold on this pedal. Quite sure this will be my first ever pedal purchase. Thank you very much for the great presentation which really seems to bring out the capabilities of this gem.
absolutely blown away by your demo. tone, playing, explanation of the product are all perfect. I'll take this demo over most of the ones done by dudes who do nothing but demos.
I love the tones people get out of this pedal on review demos but I've never been a fan since I bought this one. Just sitting on my board I haven't been able to get anything I love with it. Definitely a specific style of playing/music for this.
What a pedal. I dismiss It when came out thinking it was another fancy reverb. But since a lot of people that I trust was praising this, I decided to check it out. It has very smart features, making It sound special. I'll have to buy it now
Thanks for this amazing demo! I immediately ordered one after this! one question though, what tuning are you playing in? I don't think it's standard tuning right?
Hey there, Gianni! Thanks so much for the kind words. Here I’m playing in Eb standard, so each string is a half step down. Miles Patterson, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3177, miles_patterson@sweetwater.com
If this pedal was marketed as a Radiohead Ok Computer in a box typenpedal and dressed in the album graphics I wouldn't have been able to resist, because this sounds so Radiohead to me.
Quick little correction. The "Depth" knob does not change the rate of modulation. The "Depth" knob changes how much modulation. However the rate of modulation is a available as a secondary function with the Depth knob.
Thanks for your question, mkx85. Hope you and yours are safe and well. There are lots of useable sounds that may not be perceived as ambient, depending on the mix and how much decay and modulation are set. But if by "standard" you mean "room/hall/plate/spring," then no. Please contact me direct if I'm not answering your question accurately or completely. Robert Williams, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 2371, robert_williams@sweetwater.com
@@sweetwater thanks for the reply. Yes I meant room/hall/plate/spring. I've got another reverb pedal for those and have just purchased this one. This is a must for my new pedal board! great demo by the way.
If I'm in dream mode, and I switch the secondary mode to sine, when I let go of bypass am I still in dream mode? Or dark mode and have to toggle back to dream?
I got my Walrus Audio Slo,of course through Sweetwater. And it kicks ass! You can hear it on the guitar and keys in my video. ruclips.net/video/32kJKERezAw/видео.html

Also Kudos for throwing in the Circa Survive riff.
I came here to say the same thing about the circa riff haha. Also probably buying one of these lil dudes.
I was already swooning, but hearing that just officially sold me on it lol. Ⴟ Can't wait to use this guy Ⴟ
Which riff are you referring to? At the 9:24 mark? I'm trying to figure out what song that is he plays there.

agreed!
he knows how to show what the pedal sounds like without being so into what HE sounds like lol
shoegaze subreddit started my rabbit hole that led here. i never thought id just be chillin out to a review video.
Now this is how you do a demo. Great video, this sounds great. Nice job Sweetwater & great work, Walrus

Love how you went full doom at 6:30. That's what I wanted to hear, and you sold me on it. Great playing, love those chords with this pedal
Very thorough video. Your playing pairs great with the pedal. Kudos to Sweetwater for highlighting their employees. Dark mode sounds fantastic!

Great demo! And his real-world descriptions of the functions are really useful.
I feel so relaxed after watching this. Great player.
Probably the best demo of the Slo. Very well done. I just picked up the red Anniversary edition.
My wife took me to sweetwater and bought me this pedal for Father’s Day ❤
Ok I've just decided I'm getting this for Xmas. Man what a great pedal. Beautiful sounds. And damn this pedal sounds good with some fuzz ect . too

It would great if Myles could demo the new stereo Sloer
O'Brother riff sold it for me.
What happened to Miles? He is awesome. Did Mitch ship him off to a lonely space station?
Seriously, it's an awesome demo!

Nice shirt, where its from?
Additionally, this needs to be true stereo in and out. Imagine that in a two amp configuration...
Beautiful playing! What kind of chords do you use?
Sounds like a lot of maj7 chords. Pretty much standard for atmospheric guitar playing.
Dave Matthews chords. Check out Trippin Billies.
the obrother riffff
Are you running it in the effects loop?
Does this pedal handle standard reverb sounds too? The dreamy sounds are great, but wanted to know if it also functions as a standard reverb

You'll still be in dream mode. When you're holding down the knob and flip the switch, you only are changing the mod shape.
Exactly what I wanted to ask
