    If dreamy, ambient reverbs with a drop of warped LFO action are your thing, I think you'll love the new offering from Walrus Audio. The SLÖ multi texture reverb lets you indulge all of your floaty tendencies and hit a single button (sustain) to keep them going for a very long time. SLÖ is easy to use and full of shoe-gaze goodness that can be heavily tailored thanks to its five controls and secondary LFO functions. You can run it with or without trails and each footswitch has a couple of useful functions. Free your mind and your ass will follow! Do it SLÖWLY!

    You’re the best Brett, my go-to before buying anything and I come back when I forget what switch to hold down to change functions and other stuff you cover so clearly.

    This sort of ambient stuff is not really my thing but I have to say this pedal sounds beautiful.

    Great demo. Any idea how the modulated dream setting would compare to the flanged/vibrato setting on the Keeley Gold Star reverb or something similar?

    The Walrus Audio Descent is cool but doesn't go near as ambient and washy as this. It's a shame since the Descent had a lot of parameter control (in theory) and let you have 3 separate presets. Would have loved to see a Descent V2 type pedal that had the algorithms of the Slo.

    God , Brett....I need this in my life. I've been using Gt1 on my channel for a year wearing out the terra echo and reverbs trying to expand the Atmospheric feeling. But I need and I mean I need something like this. I was wanting the Big Sky....But the price is out of my reality. Sadly....I just looked at this and the Rainbow by foxgear. Not sure which or even that cheaper Mooer A7. Or the A7 and D7 together. That way I guess I could use both and create songs with those and the looper function on D7. Thoughts? Brett? Anyone? I need to get PC set up too. If I do that I wont need looper function. I had further idea of wonder of putting this behind the Gt1 and creating long lush soundscapes. Omg. I cannot think. Lol

      I tried the A7 and it screeches if you throw too much volume at it - I returned mine

    I've been a bit confused with the secondary functions as I just got it today. I was using the latch with hitting sustain on dream mode and didn't like that you have a dry signal as the only option over it, so I stacked it into a hall of fame reverb just to turn it on while in sustain and it sounds great. Also I noticed you hit sustain to switch waves instead of bypass... am i missing something here? The manual says that when you select an algorithm and you press down bypass to activate secondary mode and choose your modulation wave, the pedal will remember the algorythm while you choose your wave and rate, so I dont think you have to switch back after selecting a secondary mode. It will also keep that wave and rate setting saved to that algorythm until you switch it again. Also setting a rate while hold bypass requires you to reset by turning knob counter clock wise almost all the way back and resetting rate going clockwise.

      I've watched several demos of this pedal. I think Brett just hit the wrong button to activate the different wave modes.

      I have this pedal also. Yes, when I’m dream mode the sustain blocks the wet signal. I also have the Walrus Mako Series D1 High Fidelity digital delay. They work together very well. The D1 is a remarkable delay.

    Good demo!. I just prefer the Fathom which is very similar and maybe less shimmery.

  • @seans.8487
    @seans.8487 5 лет назад +1

    Is this an improvement over the Fathom? Similar? What i don't like about the SLO already is that "warped" mode. That would give me a headache after a while. I get dizzy thinking about it. It would have drunks in a pub falling off their bar stools.

      Get a TC Mimiq Doubler (stereo) and never worry about that again.
